“Giovanni Antonio is signing up with Elrods this year because Lewis offered him a good percentage of royalty.” Denzer sighed before standing beside Theodore who was looking at his warriors mock–fighting on the field with crossed arms. He hummed.
“So? What’s the big deal?” Theodore asked, his eyes sharpened on the head of the female warrior who was not failing to throw him an alluring look in between the fighting sessions.
“This is the first time it happened and we can’t lose the monopoly in the Italian market and that hotel project. Your uncle is irate so he can’t stop himself from intervening in this…”
“So I should take the stance then? So as to not let my uncle ruin anything for me?” Theodore chuckled, He knew it’s just a matter of a day before He pulled Antonio under his wings again but He wanted to see how far Elrods could go. Denzer nodded.
“What about the investigation?”
Denzer Shook his head reluctantly, not daring to respond to his king. It had become their routine as Theodore
asked him the same question every month and Denzer’s reply became short to no reply at all.
In these four years, not even a month did Theodore forget to send his team to search for his wife but every time they came back,empty–handed. In the early few months they faced his ugly wrath but with the passage of time, Theodore controlled himself from causing a bloodbath and earned patience.
Since the day Xylia fled away, He consumed these years in unsaid pain of betrayal and feeling of vengeance. He hunted her for the first two years personally by wandering around the different parts of the country and packs. too but because of it his Duties and obligations were affecting so He had to arrange a team for her. He couldn’t let his uncle dance on his head freely in his absence.
But He couldn’t imagine Xylia would do something like this to him. Did she think that He would really kill her? Even if she was taken as his chosen mate and betrayed him out of her adolescence, Still she holds a place in his pride. He would banish her or punish her but He would never ever kill her. The stupid girl made an unforgivable mistake twice which He was not ready to forgive. He promised himself that the day He found her, He would make her swallow his taste. Her punishment was not over yet. She strengthened the seed of revenge in his heart for leaving him like this.

Thor was in opposition to his human side to hurt Xylia anymore but Only Theodore knew how He dealt with her ugly stunt in front of his pack and council members for months. How He managed everything on his own without his father who was still bedridden due to the strong silver poison in his blood.
Her deed made him despise women species even more. He hadn’t recovered from his childhood trauma yet and she rubbed the salt on his exact wounded part, his heart. She just proved that no woman is innocent and deserving of his love in this world.
Theodore’s cold eyes Darkened as He ordered his beta. “Arrange my meeting with Giovanni. We are leaving for California this week.” He stated before walking to the female warrior to quench her thirst.
Giovanni Antonio talked to him in person and invited Theodore to his business party after a day. Theodore didn’t want to go but He attended this party in order to wrap up everything soon and come back to his packdom.
But what He never imagined was that His two–day trip would bring him to meet his runaway Mate unexpectedly. The second He stepped into that banquet hall, his heart flipped and Thor roared inside him recognizing that familiar scent He inhaled for the First and last time that day before she ran away.

Theodore’s hard eyes immediately swept around the gathering and He spotted her finally drinking a wine beside a man, cladded in her beautiful attire. His eyes twitched as the thought of her finding someone stabbed his heart. His sharp, eyes scanned her from head to toe, She had transformed into a gorgeous woman with perfect curves at the right places. Thor growled seeing that man get close to her ear before he muttered something which resulted in both of them smiling.
So she still didn’t leave this habit of alluring men around her.
Theodore clenched his jaws together, turning his gaze straight before Antonio invited him on the stage. But He didn’t forget to order Denzer before walking to the crowd.
“Denzer, block every route of exit of this hall, right now. No one should leave this place until I say so.”
Theodore didn’t miss the horror on Xylia’s face as He gave her a completely void look. But as soon as she ran from that place leaving her date behind, A vicious smirk formed on his face.
Confronting her was no longer a question now. He was going to drag his wife into his hell hole again even if He had to do it by hook or crook. Even if she found some other man, even if she produced any children with him.

Even if she hated him, She had to turn back to him. Because she was destined to him. Forever!
“No more running games, Love!”
Theodore smiled before He left the place to hunt his prey.
‘I know it was a mistake to come here! I knew it.‘ Xylia chanted in her mind again and again as her whole existence went through an emotional shock.
“Lia!” Nathan called her again.
“I’m sorry, It’s just.. Stomach cramps. I need to use the restroom immediately!” Xylia slipped from there. hurriedly, excusing herself not being able to meet his stormy eyes even for a second. But as soon as she turned to the empty corner, she slid against the wall sweating profusely.
“Oh, goddess! Why is He here?” She whispered under her breath and covered her mouth. She looked around and Suddenly everything turned blank as a strong emotion hit her body. He was really here? The man she ever loved in her life. The man to whom she gave her everything but He broke her trust.
What if He sees her and throws her in the dungeon again? What if He came to know about Thunder’s existence
and snatched him from her?
“No…no…I can’t let that happen.”
Xylia was not ready to face this, to face him so she abruptly stood up and ran. She ran as fast as she could before getting into the elevator and punching the buttons carelessly to reach the basement. Her body broke into the fit of tremors as more sweat formed on her skin. She didn’t know when tears formed in her eyes, making her vision
blurred. As the elevator pinged, Xylia jogged out holding her gown. She looked around frantically. She needed to
get out of that place, out of his eyes.
But she came with Nathan so she couldn’t leave without him or a car. Xylia wiped her sweaty forehead and
swallowed hard. That’s why she had been feeling unsettled since morning. She rolled her lips inside to suppress her cry. She knew him, Her husband wouldn’t spare her this time.
She can’t afford to lose anything anymore now. Xylia thought to call Nathan and ask him to come down to leave

instantly but then she remembered she had left her purse on the table where they were seated.
Xylia sighed in distress and Suddenly she felt something, she inhaled a scent which widened her eyes. The musky and earthy like a forest which dropped her stomach to her feet. Xylia looked around at the pin drop. bone–chilling silence and it hit her.
She forgot to breathe as her feet jammed to the ground automatically when she felt the presence behind her. The hair on the back of her neck raised with terror. She squeezed her eyes shut as the sound of slow yet strong footsteps invaded her ears.
“Trying to run again, Little Mate!”
