Xylia walked out of Dr Regina’s cabin with an emotionless face and cold body. She was clueless about what to do. If she doesn’t get Theodore’s help, her child may die and if she tells him, she might lose everything which was left in her life. But for a mother, her child is always the first priority and Xylia knows what she has to do. 

“Mommy…” She turned to her left seeing Thunder running toward her with Hansley following him closely. Xylia took a deep breath, pushing her negative thoughts aside and smiled at her son. 

“I want to see the amusement park. Nathy told me they made it in this pack.” Xylia’s brows wrinkled as she looked at Hansley. 

“Dad and Nathan had planned this as we have been having many pups in the pack since last year and going out of the territory for recreational purposes is not safe yet when rogues are lurking around. So pups are grounded for the time being.” 

Xylia nodded and hugged her son to her chest, nothing matters more to her than Thunder. “Mom just called me. They want to see you. We will go back after lunch at the packhouse and then..” Hansley’s phone went off again and she excused herself from there. 

Xylia had always been alarmed among these werewolves, it unsettled her every time she talked to Nathan’s parents because they always talked about her past, Thunder, about being Nathan’s Luna and everything that filled her mind with strain. Though they are good people, but Xylia had no interest in interacting with them in any way. Though she was grateful to them for the asylum and for providing her protection, other than that she would never want to interact with any supernatural beings. Because she knew She would never fit among them. 

“Mommy, what happened, you look sad?” Thunder was staring at her mom. Xylia turned her attention to him 

and smiled. 

“Theo, you know mommy loves you, right?” Xylia caressed his soft cheeks. 

“Yes, Mom. And I love you more.” He gave her a charming, sweet smile. Just like his father. She almost forgot how 

Theodore’s smile used to be. Or He never smiled in front of her. 

Xylia shook the thought before kissing his head while hugging him again. “Mommy will do anything and everything to keep you safe and sound. Just don’t leave Mommy, okay!” She bit her lip, imagining the worst scenario. Xylia has been fearing every moment since Theodore came back into her life.

Xylia inhaled deeply and nodded. 

“And you will always be by my side. Whatever it costs me. She whispered in her mind. She couldn’t lose her only child no matter what price she has to pay. And she will make him goodton Atany cost or sacrifice. 

“Lia, what have you thought about your future? Will you work as Nathan’s Poniyor accept the other role offered by him? As we are opening a new firm in the same region and we need talented employees like you. What do you say?” Lewis Elrod, Ex Alpha of Dusk Claw pack asked her on the dining table: 

xylia glanced at Hansley who kept eating her lasagna with no care in the world. Her parents never asked her to participate in their business because she declared she had no interest in it but in the pack duties and she already opted her field. 

And ylia knew why his parents were introducing and instigating her into their business. So she could get used to her duties in advance and help Nathan in future for the betterment of the pack and business. How@prcalof 

“Lewis, don’t just put pressure on her. She came here to see us so we shouldn’t make her bored.” Freya, his wife scolded him lightly and softly smiled at Xylla. 

“Lia, whatever you want to do, do it. We have no pressure. We just want you and Nathan to be happy.I knowyou have faced a hard past and…” She glanced at Thunder’s face, “..you need to think about Thunder’s future term. Take your time..” 

Xylla nodded silently and looked at her son. “What did Dr Volkov say about his report? Anything serious?” Freyal 

asked. 

Xylia cleared her throat before looking at them. “The doctor said about some infection and….he will be fine after some time with proper medication.” She murmured lowly. 

“I told you. My super boy is perfectly tine?” Hansley ruffled his hair and he glared at her with his small sharp eyes. Hansley blew him a kiss and laughed

“That’s good to hear. He will be fine soon and then we can think about your Luna ceremony!” Freya clapped her hands excitedly before saying in joy. Three of them turned their heads towards her, which made her sober up. 

‘Could you stop this rubbish? This weak human can’t become a Luna of the dusk claw pack, ever!” Lewis growled, mind–linking her. 

“I just want my son’s happiness. That’s all.” She muttered. 

“He can do whatever the hell he wants! I won’t embarrass myself in front of my people by accepting this human girl and her illegitimate child as our family. And my pack too, They will never accept her.” He gritted. Freya sighed in her mind and kept eating her meal. He was always against this decision since Xylia came into their life. Freya wanted her children to come back to the packhouse and live together like a family like before. But four years ago, everything changed. 

Xylia was calculating their expressions carefully, she knew they were mindlinking When Freya looked up at her. Xylia averted her eyes not wanting to be caught by them. 

“Don’t get over–excited Mom, you have to ask Nathan before planning anything. Moreover, for the next three months, we can’t organise anything with the rogue attacks around the territory and this new firm opening. By the way, have you found investors yet, Dad?” 

“Yes, but not investors. They are business partners, Hans. They will come to the company tomorrow to meet up and talk about this new project. That’s why I want Nathan and Lia to lead this meeting and project together. It will be a great opportunity for your career, Lia. Our partner is not some ordinary man, He is a very affluent personality who agreed to do business with us after pursuing him for years.” Lewis gave a serious look to Xylia. 

“I will be happy to work on this Project, Mr Elrod. Thank you for the incredible opportunity.” She said but from inside she v 

was having a weird feeling about this whole scenario. She didn’t want to explore her work at this point when she already had so much on her plate. 

“I want to go home, Hans. I am tired and I am in no mood to go to the office today.” Xylia requested Hansley as she didn’t want to talk about Thunder’s condition to Nathan yet. She had to think about her plan carefully before discussing it with Nathan. 

After tomorrow’s meeting, She will tell him the truth about Theodore Lockheed because she knows if someone can help her in this case, only Nathan would do it.
