" The counsellor shares a deep connection with the Elysian. She's the second most powerful supernatural in our fraction." Elder Moira explained.

" No wonder why she was so strong." Mr T mused.

" I have no idea too Rose." Iris said but Rose didn't speak.

" Telepathy." Elder Emlyn said smiling at Rose and Iris.

" Rose can communicate telepathically with Iris."

" Okay, Rose get out of my head." Iris said. Rose smirked slightly.

Then she stumbled back like she had been shoved. And it was Iris's turn to smirk.

She walked out of the room again leaving us to resume our conversation.

" What do you guys do here apart from school work and training?" Elder Yvonne asked and we shrugged.

" When was the last time you had a break from training?" Elder Eamon questioned.

" The week Iris revealed herself as the Elysian." I replied and they shook their heads.

" Are you trying to kill this children?!" Elder Nimah exclaimed.

" Give them a break."

" They have plenty of breaks."

" When was the last time they went on a field trip?" Elder Horace asked.

" Uh, Freshman year?" I replied unsurely.

" That's the problem with supernatural schools nowadays. You forget that they are teenagers. Let them have fun." Elder Yvonne said.

" But they have plenty of fun here!" Mr T argued.

" Yes but they also have to experience life outside this school."

" Fine!, They can go on field trips. But the 24 warriors have to go first. I'm not risking the lives of my students."

" But you can risk ours!" Rose retorted and Mr T rolled his eyes.

" You guys will be fine. Besides you'll have Seb with you. And Iris. She's all the protection you need." Mr T said and Rose rolled her eyes.

" Now that we settled that. Can somebody please explain what happened to Iris." Elder Eamon said.

After explaining what happened, we sat there in silence until Elder Yvonne broke it.

" No wonder she's so down."

" We have to fix her. And fast." Elder Emlyn stated and we all agreed.

We were just chilling in the arena waiting for Seb and Iris.

Rose, Tiara and I were trying to teach Bryan what we had learnt from training with Iris. Turns out he was the council's replacement for Carl.

" Alright gather around. Seb and I have a very special announcement." Iris said as she walked into the arena with Seb in tow.

" Seb?"

" Thank you Iris, I'm sure we are all aware that the Elders are here in Crest Hill." He started and we nodded.

" So they were able to convince the school management to give us a break. And so the school management gave us the opportunity to go on a field trip!" He said grinning and we cheered.

" So this trip is not only recreational, but also educational. We will be visiting some sites with supernatural history. I managed to convince Mr T to let us go alone as Seb will be our chaperone."

" That's right so no funny business." He warned.

" So now I want you to go to your rooms and pack a bag for two days. You have the rest of the day off to prepare. I'll advise you sleep early because we are going to be leaving very early tomorrow morning." Iris said.

" So where are we going?" Irene asked.

" Drum roll please?!" Seb exclaimed and we stomped our feet on the ground.

" New York!" Iris and Seb exclaimed excitedly and we hooted.

" Okay now you're dismissed." She said as she and Seb walked out of the arena.

" Finally!, We are finally getting out of here." Rose squealed.

" Why do you make it seem like you've been imprisoned?" I asked.

" Don't get me wrong I love Crest Hill. I'm just tired of seeing the same faces and places over again. A little change of scenery is good for the soul." She explained.

" Iris seems really excited about the trip." Bryan mused and we nodded.

" So how's the whole counsellor thing going?" I asked Rose as we walked back to school.

" It's good I guess. The Elders have been training me on how to use the gift. I've been able to enter Iris's head a couple times. But never without her permission!, Or else she just shoves me out. But it's like every time I'm in there she just puts all her emotions into a room and locks them up. I can't tell what she's actually feeling." She explained.

" Let's just hope this trip helps her open up more." I sighed.

Rose was right. A change of scenery was good for the soul. Our trip had been fun and refreshing. Even for Iris. She lightened up and even cracked a few smiles.

We were on our way back to school and we decided to stop for food at the outskirts of the New York.

" Don't you think it'll be strange if a whole bunch of teenagers walked into the diner?" Rose asked and Iris shrugged.

" We'll just tell them we're coming from a game or something."

We got off the bus and into the diner when Iris suddenly froze. She and Seb suddenly started sniffing the air around. They looked at each other and had a silent conversation with their eyes.

I heard Rose gasp and Iris looked at her.

" Are they really here?" Rose asked and Iris nodded.

" Who?" Faye asked curiously.

" Magicians." Iris replied.

The diner was eerily quiet. And it was a mess.

Upside down tables, lopsided chairs, food scattered all over the ground.

Iris bent and picked up a fry.

" It's still warm. And that means it was a recent attack. They're not far away. Get behind the booth now." She ordered and we obeyed.

We watched as a blonde haired guy walked out with a bunch of other people from a door that read ' Employees only.'

" Did you see the look on their faces?!"

" Humans are so easily frightened."

" Finally some real magicians. No offence Seb." Lance said cracking his knuckles.

" Let's go kick some magician butt." Bryan exclaimed excitedly.

" No." Iris said.

" Wait what?"

" None of you is fighting them. You're not ready."

" You keep saying that!, When will we ever be ready." Rose whisper yelled.

" You can barely take down Seb. So you're not ready to fight a bunch of other magicians. Seb stay here with them in case any thing happens."

She cast a spell around us like a force field.

" Seb you have to let us out of here. We can't let her take them on alone." I pleaded but he shook his head.

" Iris is right. You guys aren't ready."

" So all we can do is sit here and watch?" Bryan asked and he nodded. He cast an invisibility spell so we weren't spotted.

Iris moved further away and waited till the magicians were distracted before walking out.

" What are you guys doing?" She asked as she stepped out.

" Where did you come from?" The blonde haired guy asked.

" You didn't answer my question what are you doing?"

" Awwn the little human is standing up for herself. How cute." He cooed.

Iris looked anything but cute in that moment. She wore a varsity jacket with a black tank top, ripped jeans and black combat boots.

" You know what, I'm just gonna freeze you. I won't torment you like I did to the others. You're just so cute."

He cast the spell but Iris brushed it off. He tried several times but it didn't work.

" Why isn't it working?" One of the other magicians asked.

" Because she's one of us." The blonde haired guy said in realization.

" I've never seen a stray magician before." He mused

At that moment, a guy came in from the restrooms laughing.

" Jack you should have seen the look on-"

He froze when he saw Iris and she smiled

" Hey Josh."

" I-I-I-Iris w-w-we were just leaving." He stuttered.

" We're not going anywhere." Jack, the blonde haired guy said.

" We weren't before but we are now!" Josh said panicking.

" Leave. But not you Josh. I already warned you."

" Get her." Jack yelled.

The first magician ran towards Iris and she flipped him popping his bone out of its socket.

He let out a howl of pain and Iris smirked.

The next one ran towards her and she dodged her punch.

Then one of the magicians suddenly froze her.

How is that possible?!

Seb was about to reverse the spell when the ice started melting.

And they were shocked.

" I already asked you to leave. You could've gone the easy way." Iris said as the ice melted completely. She started levitating with her eyes closed and a smirk on her face.

" Now you're gonna have to leave the hard way."

Her eyes were a bright purple. Her smile turned into a sinister smile.

Some of them tried to run but she froze the door shut.

" Oh you're not going anywhere. I already gave you a chance to leave but now you have to stay and enjoy the party."

They are so screwed!
