" No! No! No!" Iris exclaimed frantically.

" Iris, it's too late." Emily said softly.

" No it's not." Iris replied as she moved closer to Carl.

" Look into my eyes." She said but he couldn't meet her eyes.

" Look into me eyes!" She yelled and forced him to look at her. She started took laboured breaths and her lilac irises turned do dark they were almost black. Carl couldn't bare it anymore and had to look away.

" No!" Iris exclaimed angrily.

" This wasn't supposed to happen. I-I-I- I gotta go."

She ran out of the arena and Seb turned to follow her.

" No, give her some space." Shirley said he sighed

" What next?" Rose asked.

" He will be banished. We have to send him to the council. And then they'll have to find a replacement for him." Mr T said and Carl was escorted out of the arena.

The atmosphere was still tense. A warrior turning evil was something no one expected.

Iris was holed up in her room and she refused to come out.

Rose, Bryan, Chris, Savannah and I were in Mr T's office as usual. It was kind of like our regular spot.

" Poor Iris." Emily sympathized.

" It's hard enough being a teenage supernatural, but being a teenage supernatural with the fate of the world on your shoulders, that's just hard." Savannah said.

" One of her men just turned on her, she's bound to take it hard." Bryan said and we nodded in agreement.

" I think Seb knows what happened to Iris." I suddenly said and they furrowed their eyebrows.

" How do you know?"

" I over heard them talking about it but I couldn't really understand what they were saying."

" Okay I'll send for him. We'll see what he knows." Mr T said.

A few minutes later Seb came in all sweaty. He was obviously working out before he came here. His tank top stuck on him like a second skin. His hair was sticking to his face due to how sweaty he was.

" I'm sorry for not cleaning up before coming but the student you sent said it was really urgent." He said running his hand through his hair.

" Damn!" I heard Rose mumbled.

" I know right." Savannah whispered.

" Look at those abs."

" And those piercing grey eyes. I know I have a boyfriend and he is Iris's boyfriend but damn!" Savannah exclaimed.

Seb smiled akwardly oblivious to what they were saying.

" I hate this guy." Chris said bitterly.

" First he steals your mate and then he wants to steal our girlfriends too?!" Bryan whisper yelled.

" Sebastien I want to ask you a question." Emily asked.

" Sure, what is it?"

" We know that you know what happened to Iris. Can you tell us?"

" I'm really sorry but I can't. It's not my story to tell."

" We understand."

It's been 3 days since Carl was banished. Although Iris finally came out of her room but she hasn't talked to anyone, not even Seb. She was always training or reading. Even during our training she seemed distant.

" What was that?" Paige asked as we walked towards the entrance of the school.

We ran towards the courtyard and in the middle of the courtyard were 6 cloaked figures. We surrounded them and then attacked.

It was 6 against 24 yet they beat us!

The figures removed their cloaks and we found out we attacked the Elders.

" You guys are the best 24, I'd hate to see the rest of your army." Elder Eamon said smirking.

" Elders, we didn't know you were coming." Mr T said bowing slightly.

" It an honour." Emily said bowing.

" Hey Elders." Seb said as he and Shirley walked out of the school.

" Seb my boy!, How are you?" Elder Horace asked.

" I'm great." Seb replied grinning.

" Shirley!, You look amazing." Elder Moira said hugging said and she smiled.

" Thank you."

" Have you been practising?"

" Yeah, I have. With a little help from Iris of course."

" Speaking of Iris, where is that little rascal?" Elder Emlyn asked.

Iris came out right on cue but she was so lost in thought that she didn't notice everything that was going on.

" Iris." Elder Yvonne called and she finally turned.

She put on a fake smile as she approached them.

" Iris come give your old man a hug." Elder Eamon said and Iris moved on to hug each of them.

" What are you guys doing here?"

" We came to see you!" Elder Nimah said smiling.

" Oh, uhm great!" Iris replied with fake enthusiasm.

" Come on walk us to Travis's office." Elder Horace said.

As soon as the elders were settled in the office, Iris stood up.

" I have to go, I have training and all." She said.

" Okay. Bye." Elder Emlyn said.

They waited until they were sure she was out of hearing range before speaking.

" Great!, You broke her." Elder Yvonne said.

" Okay with all due respect Elder Yvonne, we did not broke her or break her! Or whatever you said we did!" Rose exclaimed defensively.

" Do you know how hard it was to put her back the way she was?" Elder Nimah asked.

" Well you did an awfully job. She was quiet and peaceful before. Now she's all cold and challenging." Chris said.

" Well she's better than she was when we found her." Elder Moira said.

" Found her?, I thought she went to you" Mr T questioned.

" Iris didn't come to us, we went to her." Elder Nimah said.

" Have you ever heard of La Muerte?"

" Yeah. Every single supernatural has heard of La Muerte. She's the avenger of our fraction. She viciously kills magicians." Rose said and they smiled.

" Iris is, well actually was La Muerte."

" Wow!" We exclaimed.

" She was a killer. She showed no mercy. She killed without knowing whether the magician was good or bad. She was bitter after what happened. She gave me this.". Elder Horace pointed to a scar near his eye and smiled.

" We gradually got her to open up. To us. We told her there was a better way. The war was the best way to get her revenge. But she threw herself into training."

" Isn't that a good thing?" Savannah asked and Elder Yvonne shook her head.

" The Elysian has other duties aside the war. She needs to look after the welfare of her people. There were a lot of things she had to learn and she couldn't learn them if she kept focusing on her training alone." Elder Yvonne explained.

" So how do we get her back to normal?" I asked.

" She needs time. She'll eventually get over it." Elder Emlyn said.

Elder Moira hummed and all the elders kept quiet.

" What is it Moira?" Elder Eamon asked.

" Consiliarius." She replied. She walked round the room and then stopped in front of Rose. She touched Rose's forehead and smiled.

A couple minutes later Iris came in looking confused. She looked at Rose and her lilac eyes began to glow. Rose's green ones began glowing too as they both stared at each other.

" What's going on?!" Bryan asked skeptically.

" She has found her second in command. Her counsellor." Elder Moira said smiling.
