Supernaturals: Legends of Iris.

Green vines started growing from the ground wrapping around all of them except Josh. She used the water from the puddle formed by the melted ice and made a circular fence around them out of ice. Large icicles were sticking out of the fence and were so close to the magicians that if they made any sudden movement, they would be impaled.

She drew all the water in the diner and sent it towards them with so much force it knocked them out.

The water knocked Josh over but didn't make him unconscious. Iris turned her attention towards him and moved closer to him.

He tried to distract her by throwing a metal tray at her. She stopped the tray in mid air and separated it into two jagged spikes which she sent flying towards him. The spikes pinned his shirt to the wall. If they had moved just a little bit, he would have been the one pinned and not his shirt.

He hung on the wall with obvious fear in his eyes.

" Not so tough are ya?" She asked smiling sadistically.

" Please!, Let me go!" He pleaded but Iris was having none of it.

" I warned you and let you go the first time. This time I'm not showing any mercy."

Then she took his breath away, literally!

She sucked all the air from around him and he held his throat suffocating due to the lack of oxygen.

Then she released the air and he coughed taking deep breaths.

She smouldered him with the air putting so much pressure on him that he passed out and his head fell limp on his shoulders.

Iris revered all her spells and removed the spikes that pinned Josh to the wall and his body fell onto the floor.

The field around us was gone and Seb had reversed the invisibility spell. So we all stood up and walked towards Iris as she stood hovering over Josh's body.

" I-i-i-is h-he dead?" Rose asked in a shaky voice. She was the only one brave enough to ask the question we were all thinking.

After seeing what Iris could do to magicians, we were terrified because we knew it would take her even less time to destroy us.

" No. Just unconscious." Iris replied. Something about the way she said it made it seem like she wanted him dead.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket and made a phone call.

" Come on let's get going, the clean up crew is on the way." She said ending the call and slipping her phone back into her pocket.

We slowly filed out of the diner and into the bus.

" Uh Iris?" Bryan asked as we began the journey back to school.

" Yes?"

" Who are the clean up crew?"

" They are a group of supernatural called the Outcasts. They deal with imprisonment of evil supernaturals. They are kind of the law enforcement of the supernatural world." She explained.

" How were they able to freeze you?" Paige asked.

" Magicians wield elements too. Although not as complex as the elementists."

" Woah!" Logan exclaimed.

" There was a reason why I didn't let you fight-"

" We finally understand. Magicians are very powerful supernaturals." Rose said cutting her off and Iris smiled.

" You're all also powerful. We just haven't unlocked your full potential yet." Iris said and smiled.

We got back to the school later than we had scheduled and we were really really tired. We had to give a report of what happened on the trip to Mr T, Emily and the elders.

After hearing about the magician attack on the diner, Mr T wanted to scrap the whole field trip idea but after much persuasion from Iris and the Elders he finally decided that the field trips would continue only if they were trips to places with high supernatural activity. That way they could easily get help if they were in trouble.

" Get some rest. There's still training tomorrow." Iris said and we groaned.

Iris's POV.

" What is this I hear about a magician attack?" I asked barging into Mr T's office with Seb and Rose in tow.

" Yes Iris, you may come in." Mr T replied sarcastically.

" I'm sorry for barging in like that but this is really urgent."

" Who told you?" Elder Moira asked.

" I have my sources." I answered vaguely.

" This doesn't concern you Iris. Go for your training." Elder Horace sighed.

" It concerns me because they are attacking a shifter camp! And last time I checked shifters are in this fraction. They are my people so I should be concerned." I retorted.

" We already informed the council, they'll send fighters to help the shifters." Elder Yvonne said.

" Fighters?!, They can't fight those magicians!" I exclaimed.

" Iris is right." Seb added.

" They are sending a troop to attack. A troop contains some of the best magician fighters. I used to be in a troop."

" See?!"

" So what do you want us to do?" Elder Nimah asked.

" Let me go. I can even go with Seb."

" Iris you're needed here for training." Emily said.

" They'll be fine. It's just one day!"

" The only condition in which we will allow you go is if you take the warriors with you." Elder Eamon stated.

" Absolutely not!, They're not ready."

" Then make them ready." Elder Emlyn said.

" There isn't enough time-"

" You have a week to prepare them for the attack. You have been training with them for almost a month now. They shouldn't be that far off from being able to fight magicians." Elder Nimah said.

" You are the Elysian. You are their teacher. Then teach them."

I let out a low growl and they looked at me unimpressed.

I stormed out of the room and made my way towards the arena.

" Line up!" I barked as I entered the arena.

Cole's POV.

" Line up!" Iris barked as she entered the arena. She was obviously pissed and was in a really bad mood.

" What's up with her?" Bryan asked Rose as she joined the line.

" It's a long story."

" Listen up! We have intel that there's going to be an attack on a shifter camp next week. I personally would have loved to go solo. But the elders insist that I must take you along. So this week's training will be hectic.

I am not going to hold back. You are going to be pushed to your limit. Whether you break or not, that's up to you.

Split up. Shifters on the left, elementists on the right."

We did as were told and she told us to split up again.

" I want regulars, parts and all, on seperate lines. Rose you're head shifter. Logan head elementist. Pick a side."

" Heads." Rose said.

" Tails." Logan said.

She flipped the coin and she nodded.

" Tails. Today we'll be focusing on the elementists. Then we'll alternate tomorrow. Is that clear?!"

" Yes Iris." We replied.

" Now let's begin."

This is going to be a very stressful week.
