Ch 10 Bon Appetit

Kim's Pov

As I hopped in max car, I couldn't stop thinking of the multiple things I could possibly make him to eat. It kinda over whelmed my brain, I sometimes over think.

Sigh,

Let's get to the store first, before I over-react. As I push the start button for the engine, it roars to life with the energy of a great lion. Kinda scared me.

"Why is your car so loud max?" I said slightly loud, due to the cold start of this hellcat red eye.

"It's a hellcat, not a scat pack angel. I payed for the big boy one." He said while chuckling loudly.

"Ugh whatever, I'm sure with the price you paid for this you could have bought a Benz or bmw. Probably faster and not as loud." I said while sticking my tongue out.

"Keep it in you mouth, before I bite it." He said looking at me lustfully.

"You better not!" I said while looking at him like he was the boogieman.

We both laughed, while I pulled out the driveway and headed towards town. As I drove I asked him what he had a preference for and he gave me a huge lecture about his preferences just to sum it up he's very picky.

So we came up with a few options salmon grilled with mashed potatoes with asparagus, or chicken fettuccine with garlic bread. He said we could also order pizza but if you know me you know I never back down from a challenge.

We made it to the store, we get out and grab a basket. As we walk in arm & arm I tell him about my decision to make salmon, he tells me.

"If you want to angel it's fine, we could always ask Peter to make it. He's been serving my family for 20 years, don't over work yourself you just got here." While chuckling at the last part.

"Do you think I can't cook?" I questioned him.

"No, no, never mind I was just sayin-" he mumbled somewhat Defeated.

"Exactly," I said defensively while grabbing what we needed and leaving the store.

I'll show him who can and cannot cook in the Lawson house, if you wanna play we can play. I get a lil competitive, don't make it seem like I can't do something. I'll show you I can before you can say my name 3 times lol.

Anyway we make it to the house and I head straight to the kitchen to see the damage. The have excellent dishes and pots as expected, so this will be easy.

Let me check the knives, they have a collection of chef knives from Paris AND A SHARPING STONE !

2 hrs later

As I plate his food, I get a little excited it's been a while since I showed someone other than my family I can cook. I wonder if he will like it, as I think about it he appears like magic.

"Speak of the devil, say ahh" I ordered as I put a spoonful of salmon up to his lips.

"Ahh," he said as he took the bite like a baby. I seen his eyes light up after a second and it was like he went to heaven. He spoke after the bite.

"Angel where did you learn how to cook like this ?" He said now serious.

"My grandmother grew up in new Orleans, she taught me all about southern cooking. I could make you some fried fish as well," I said while giggling.

"Will you marry me?" He said while getting on one knee.

"Get up silly" I said while laughing kinda hard, I didn't think he would like it this much. I don't remember doing anything crazy, he act like he never heard of lemon pepper before.

"Peter can't make you anything like this, why haven't you asked him for his hand in marriage?" I questioned holding in another giggle.

"He doesn't look like the queen standing in front of me , not does he taste as good," he said as he started kissing on my neck and face.

"Oh so you tasted him before, forbidden love noted" I said while giggling.

"Don't be so vulgar," he said with a outrageous eye roll. After that laugh he finished eating and we started to talk about the future.

"So what's next babe, you told everybody what you planned but what if I can't live if to the packs expectations?" I asked

"Don't worry , how could you ever fail. You were born to help me lead this land of great wolfs, this is heritage in the making. You'll do great" he said with certainty.

With such courage how could I fail, it seems to be that I have somebody worth dying for by my side now. I wonder how great we would be together after the test of time.

While lost in thought, he asked me about my previous relationships, was I ever in love. It was kinda different having somebody to talk to brand new, so I indulged his request.

"I haven't had any real boyfriends other than Zach to be honest. He's the only one that tried to love me for me without having to be soul mates." I explained. His face seem to change while deep in thought, he waited a while before responding.

"I haven't had many girlfriends but I have had a few. I'm a alpha so most females hook up with me for my status. So I haven't had any organic love, throughout my whole life before I met you. I feel like you could change that though. One day at a time." He spoke seriously. While brushing the hair out my face.

"Have you had sex with these 'women' that have been causing you for clout?" I questioned with anger.

"Some not all of them, I didn't think I would find you to be honest I was lost and let my emotions get the best of me." He explained sadly.

"So you had sex with them to get back at me ?!" I said while raising my voice.

"No, No it wasn't like that" he said exasperated.

At that moment the front door opened and a strong presence rushed thru the door, I immediately felt like bowing with respect and I didn't know why. I thought Maxwell had the most aggressive aura, that I got used to fast as being his mate but this was 10x worse.

"HaHaHa, who was that raising there voice at MJ just now, I wanna see who has the courage" This booming voice questioned loudly.

MJ who's this MJ he's referring to, Could he mean Maxwell Lawson Jr ? He never said he was a Jr though. Is this voice the current alpha of The midnight moon pack ?!..............
