Chapter 17 Exposed

Liam sat on the edge of the bed in the master bedroom, watching the video that Vincent had sent. It was the surveillance footage he had intercepted.

The video was flashy and loud, filled with vibrant colors and blaring music. Liam frowned. He disliked such chaotic and noisy environments, but he still patiently watched.

A woman appeared on the screen, undoubtedly the center of attention at the venue. She wore a seductive red dress with suspenders and gracefully moved across the dance floor in golden high heels, swaying and dancing like a free–spirited elf. Every move she made was splendid. Her snow–white skin shone brilliantly under the lights, and her slightly tilted. face was incredibly beautiful.

Nancy!

As soon as Liam saw her face clearly, he almost jumped off the bed, his pupils widening suddenly.

It was her, but also not like her.

His wife was a gentle and introverted beauty; how could she be so glamorous and charming? It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call her a “fairy“!

Liam stared at the video without blinking, observing every move of the woman. He desperately wanted to convince himself that it wasn’t her, but even with heavy makeup on her face, it couldn’t, hide the mole below her right eye.

It was undoubtedly hers!

In the next moment, he watched as his good friend approached her, his hand moving along her waist.

Liam’s eyes darkened, and he gripped his phone tightly. He couldn’t help but grit his teeth. This guy took advantage of his woman; did he have a death wish?

Just as this thought flashed through his mind, he saw the woman who almost fell victim to Vincent’s advances grab his wrist and immediately perform a shoulder throw, followed by a fierce and swift palm strike!

Liam’s pupils dilated again.

At that moment, Vincent’s voice sounded from the phone: “You saw how

Liam couldn’t sit still any longer. He immediately walked out and spoke into the phone with a deep voice, “Send me the address.”

On the way to Southern City, Liam repeatedly replayed the video, his eyes filled with darkness and confusion. Clearly, this was her true nature. All that gentleness, virtuousness, and submissiveness were all fake!

But she disguised herself too well. After three years of marriage, he still couldn’t see through her true colors.

So, who exactly is she?

Vincent said that Gary claimed she was his “sister. It was widely known that the White family had no daughters. Or could it be that she was Gary’s lover?

This thought caused Liam’s already stern face to quickly become even colder.

He wanted to see what tricks she was playing!

Nancy slept until dawn, waking up with a splitting headache, as if she had been trampled. by an elephant.

“You’re awake?

Gary appeared at the bedside at the right moment, handing her a glass of milk. “Have a drink to relieve the pain.”

Nancy took the milk with a frown and asked in a hoarse voice, “Why am I here?”

“Don’t you remember? You got drunk and caused a scene. I didn’t let you go back home in the middle of the night.”

Gary was eating breakfast at the table and watched Nancy pinch her nose and gulp down the milk as if taking medicine. He chuckled and said, “You have never liked drinking milk since we were young. Every time you drink it, it’s like drinking poison.”

After finishing the milk, Nancy quickly rinsed her mouth with water. Her stomach felt much better. She looked at her wrinkled dress and picked up her phone to send a message to her assistant. Then she walked toward the bathroom, saying, “I’m going to take a

shower.”

“Do you remember what happened last night?” Gary asked calmly from behind.

Nancy paused and turned around, racking her brain. I think I was dancing, and then someone tried to touch me inappropriately. I threw him over my shoulder and slapped him, right?”

“Yes, and then?”

And then… I can’t remember anything after that. It’s all fragmented.

Gary took a sip of coffee and glanced at his sister. “You ended up vomiting on someone in the elevator.”

“Oh.” Nancy showed no sign of remorse. “Well, that’s his bad luck.”

As they continued walking, Nancy suddenly felt something was amiss. She stopped and turned her head. “He’s not someone important, is he?”

Gary wiped his mouth with a napkin. “He’s fine. He’s Vincent, the young master of the Miller family in Basin City.”

“The Miller family in Basin City? The notorious underworld family?” Nancy frowned.

Gary: “Congratulations; you got it right.”

Nancy frowned again and waved her hand, saying, “Forget about him; he’s the one who approached me. If anything goes wrong, I’ll ask Henry for help.”

It’s a game of retaliation, and it’s uncertain who will come out on top.

Gary watched as Nancy walked into the bathroom, feeling helpless towards this

mischievous and carefree woman. It felt like they were back in their childhood, when she would cause trouble and they would clean up after her.

This feeling wasn’t so bad.

Nancy took a hot shower and felt much more comfortable. Just as she stepped out of the bathroom, her assistants arrived.

Two personal assistants entered, carrying bags and laying out clothes, shoes, jewelry, and handbags in front of her, waiting for the boss to make her selection.

Nancy sat cross–legged on the sofa, sipping her coffee, while the hairstylist took care of her hair. She pointed and directed, “This one, this one,

one, and this one.”

After changing into the new outfit, Nancy didn’t enter the elevator. Instead, she turned a

corner and arrived at the door of Suite 77. She politely knocked on the door and said, “Knock, knock.”

The door opened from the inside, revealing a face that hadn’t fully woken up yet. The man was quite handsome, wearing only a pair of boxer briefs, showcasing his well–built physique that clearly indicated he was a regular at the gym.

Nancy glanced briefly, not showing any emotions. After all, she had seen this kind of physique too many times in the past three years. It was nothing out of the ordinary.

Vincent was annoyed at being disturbed from his dream, but when he saw the woman’s face, he became partially awake. He raised his sleepy eyes, full of sleep crust, and said, “Aren’t you from yesterday? What brings you here so early in the morning?”

“I heard that I vomited on your clothes yesterday, so this is compensation for you.”

Nancy threw a brand new suit into the man’s arms and said, “You approached me, and I vomited on you, so I’ll compensate you with a piece of clothing. We’re even now, right?”

Vincent nodded. “That’s one way to put

“Good. If you’re still angry, feel free to come find me.” Nancy turned around and walked

away

Vincent leaned against the door and asked with interest, “But I don’t even know who you are. How can I find you?”

Without looking back, Nancy introduced herself, “Smith Group, Nancy.”

Vincent watched the woman as she walked away. He blinked his eyes and realized that she was the rumored “resurrected” Ms. Smith from the Smith family.

This was bad news for him.

Vincent smirked and took out his phone. “Have you arrived? The person just left.”

In the lobby of the first floor of Ocean Club, the early morning bar was empty, except for a cool and aloof figure sitting in the center of a private room, with his gaze fixed on elevator number one, waiting for someone’s arrival.

Five seconds later, the elevator doors slowly opened.

Liam lifted his eyelids and saw a graceful woman walking out, wearing a leather dress and a red suit jacket. Her neat, short hair couldn’t hide her beautiful face.

She glides forwarst with a gracent stride, as if a gentle breeze was guiding her. The diamond tassel earrings slangling from her car swayed delicately, reminiscent of wind chimes, adding to the elegance and air of detachment on her exquisite face.

Similarly, as Nancy stepped out of the elevator, he immediately noticed the unmistakably icy expression on her face.
