“Do you know where the other Luna is?” I asked the maid as she came into the room. 

She didn’t answer me, instead, she looked me up and down, checking me out. I was suddenly reminded of what I was wearing, and I was self-conscious now. 

“I really thought you had more going on, but I just don’t get why Alpha Vernon would choose you. You are not really pretty, and your shape is just okay, I really thought you had more underneath your clothes.” She looked at me with a dissatisfied expression on her face. 

What? It was like I asked him to choose me, I was wondering the same thing, okay? But seeing that she was so young, she didn’t look like she was even 20 years old, plus she was only just a maid. 

She left after that, and I peeked at the door, the two guards were still there. Come to think of it. I had never lived a day in the Alpha room, maybe some weapon would be hidden in this room? 

I started to go through every closet, every drawer, every desk, anywhere that could hide something. 

I needed something to defend myself, I needed something that could help me kill him. He was so tall and masculine, he was towering over me when we were at the Pack House hall. Although I was confident in my battle skill, I knew I would be no match for him if I didn’t have any weapon on hand. 

And he was vicious, he was the strongest Alpha in America. I heard a lot of rumors about him, how he tore up someone in half with just a bare hand… But he practically destroyed my Pack, if I could take revenge, I was willing to die for it. 

As my hand was reaching for the next drawer in this closet, I felt a present behind me, it was him. Vernon was standing right behind me. I was shocked, I didn’t even notice when he came in the room until he was standing right behind me, only then did I pick up his scent. 

I turned around in panic, he put his arms around me, I had nowhere to turn back since my back was leaning at the closer, he enclosed me. I looked up to see his face, I found myself sucked into his Egyptian blue eyes like I was swimming and drowning inside. 

“What are you doing?” 

His question snapped me out of my trance. Well, I couldn’t tell him that I was looking for a weapon to kill him, right? 

“Why did you choose me?” 

It wasn’t a mere distraction, I genuinely wanted to know why, since I wasn’t pretty nor was I busty like Kala. Why did he, the Moonhunter, the strongest Alpha in the whole of America, Vernon Bartell from the Bloodlust Furs Pack would choose me to be his bedmate? 

He didn’t answer, he frowned and then looked down to see the baby doll lingerie I was wearing. If I was feeling self–conscious about myself when the maid was looking at me, now I was burning under his gaze, 

He played with the see–through lingerie as if he was feeling the soft lace texture of it. And then his pointed finger touched my face, his calluses felt rough in contrast to my skin. His touch was very different from Terry’s. Then I felt his fingertips slide down to my neck. I felt my pulse raced under his touch. Next, it moved to my collarbone. 

All the while he was looking straight into my eyes. I saw fine in his eyes, and maybe lust too. 

When his hand moved to my chest, he spread his hand and wrapped it around my right breast, He squeezed it gently. I couldn’t help but moan under his administration. He leaned closer to my car, I felt his hot breath hitting my skin. 

“What reason could it be? I want to fuck you. That’s all. In this room, on this bed, maybe in the bathroom, or in front of the mirror, the balcony should be great too. Don’t you think?” 

I was taken aback by his vulgar language. No one had ever dared say that to me! Not even Terry, I put my hand on his chest to stop him from going closer, his pecs felt so good though. 

“Need I to remind you that I am used well? I’ve been claimed.” 

I think this should make me undesirable in his eyes. I even tilted my head to let him see the Moon shape mark on my Terry’s claim on me.

He moved his hand to my neck and rubbed the mark a few times, and then he pressed down on the mark, hard. I screamed out both in 

shock and pain. 

“If that useless Alpha of yours wouldn’t renounce you, I will hunt him down and kill him.” 

He was talking about the renouncing. After a male werewolf marked a female werewolf, the claim could be lifted by the male werewolf renouncing the female werewolf. But the female werewolf would be in a lot of pain, and her power would be weakened. It would also make the power of the male werewolf weaken, but he wouldn’t be in pain because the female werewolf wasn’t given the chance to reject them

His thumb rubbed my check a few times. 

“I wanted you so much since I saw you choking Mason. My blood rushes both my head and my lower part

“I have never seen a woman like you, so small in my arms, but still you stood up to another warrior. You are so hot. I decided I want you then.” 

Then he stopped talking, and he kissed me again, this time, hard. I felt his tongue trace the shape of my lips, and then he was licking into my mouth. He put a hand on the back of my head to deepen the kiss. 

I was so lost in his kiss I forgot to fight him. I didn’t know if it was just an illusion, but I could feel the air getting heated, and both our breaths were getting heavy. 

But when Vernon was tearing at my clothes, the moment the cool air hit my exposed chest, I came back to my sense. 

They said when you were pushed you would do the unthinkable. 

I reacted the same way the night at the Harvest Moon Ball Unable to resist my anger, I pushed Vernon away and slapped him hard. 

But I immediately regretted this decision. 

I was afraid that he would kill me out of anger. Because he could.
