“Why did you drive off without her!! She’s my Luna for god’s sake!” I yelled at Javier, he flinched at my sudden outburst. 

We reached the outskirt of my pack, I built several safe houses here a few years ago just in case. They were located in a woody area, it was hard to reach, and not a lot of people knew about this place. Didn’t think that I need to use this so soor 

“It was all her fault, Javier pointed at Kais, “Shannon let her get in the car first, she would have been here if she got in first.” He said helplessly as if he did nothing wrong. 

“She has nothing to do with this! Don’t drag her into this! And why did you decide to steal the Moonhunter’s supplier? You know he was not to be messed with!” 

“I thought he wouldn’t notice this…” 

“What do you mean you thought he wouldn’t notice this? He is the Moonhunter! And you know he’s revengeful, now this is his retaliation” 

I looked at his face, it was like he was so untainted by any wisdom or knowledge at all, I didn’t know how he reached the position of Alpha for so long 

“Uh, never mind, just go, I will figure something out.” 

He was so relieved to hear this, he left with his tail tucked between his legs. 

How did this happen? How did I go from the strongest Alpha of the region to hiding in the woods! And most of all, I lost the woman I loved for so many years… 

Yes, we were fighting a lot before this, but it didn’t mean that I wanted to leave her behind to face all the danger herself….

I need to find a way to get back my pack, and most importantly… I need to get her back. 

Just when I was thinking about what to do, Kaia came into the room without knocking. The anger I felt before immediately raised up again. 

“What are you doing here?” I knew I didn’t sound nice, I wasn’t trying to 

“I. I saw you went to the room for so long so I just want to be with you for a bit” She was surprised by my tone. 

“I don’t need you here, you already made me lose Shannon. I need time to think of a way to get us out of this trouble” 

“Do you blame me for leaving her behind?” 

“Well, she was left behind because she let you in first, isn’t it? 

“L… Do you need me to go back and find her? I will do it if it makes you happy. I know I am not Luna material, I will never be as good as her, I wasn’t trying to replace her.” 

“No, don’t make it more difficult than it already is, stay here, don’t get in any more trouble.” 

She looked like she was about to cry, I would have fallen for her act at this point a few days ago, but right now, I was further irritated by this. She didn’t know how to solve problems, crying would get her nowhere. 

I was starting to miss Shannon, she wouldn’t cry in a situation like this, she was a trained fighter, and she was strong, both physically and mentally. She was my backbone whenever we ran into trouble.

She just nodded and walked out, not before casting me one more pitiful look. 

I guessed I really shouldn’t blame her, she was right, she might be my fated mate, but she wasn’t fit for a Luna. Shannon was truly the Luna of the Crescent Manes Pack.

I need to get her back. I couldn’t live without her, my pack needed their Luna. What could I do to get her and my pack back? 

Maybe I could negotiate with him? I didn’t steal his supplier in the first place, maybe I could lose some to get some. 

But For Shannon, I was willing to give up something. 

I needed to write a letter to Alpha Vernon. 

“Your Highness. 

I wrote in peace, I was not aware of the crime Javier Hansen committed. And I didn’t part take in it. It was unfortunate that the whole region under my rule has to suffer the conséquence. 

But I would like to know if there is any chance that I could have my pack back. I am open to your conditions if you will. 

I know that you have taken my wife as a captive, please do not mistreat her, for the fact that she also has nothing to do with Javier’s crime. Please return her to me safely. I plead with you.” 

This letter was for the Moonhunter. I need to write another letter to Shannon to let her know that I didn’t give up on her and that I needed her back 

“Dear Shannon, 

I am terribly sorry about what happened, please believed me when I say I have no intention to leave you behind. I know you might think otherwise, and I know the past few weeks have been rough for both you and me. 

But like I said before, no one could replace you, you will always be my wife, the Luna of our Pack. I couldn’t and wouldn’t lose you for anything or anyone. The past few days had shown me such. 

I would take your place willingly, please know I did not leave you behind intentionally You are the most precious possession. If I could go back in time, I would never let go of your hand, so that we could be together and face everything together like we used to. 

Please, do not resent me for making this horrible mistake. I would do anything to make it up to you once you got back. 

Don’t give up on me, don’t give up on us. 

I poured my heart out on this letter, words could not describe my regret. I couldn’t stand the thought of losing her. I thought I could be with Kaia and she should be enough, but the last few weeks told me that I couldn’t. 

Without her, everything was out of order. I needed her back to put everything in place again, I just hoped that she would forget me for my mistakes. 

I walked out of the room to find Javier staring at Kaia, I knocked his head to get him snapped out of it 

“Have your man send these letters to the Moonhunter. 

“What? What did you write in the letter?” He asked. I rolled my eyes

your ass, righting the mistake you made, just do it, stop asking so many questions. 

“Okay, I will have them sent right away. Javier lowered his head in shame, he knew he was in the wrong. He had no right to complain. 

I watched him leave, those letters were my only hope now. Kaia followed my gaze, and she quickly put her focus back on me. 

“So, can I know what you wrote in the letter?”
