This was my first time riding a helicopter. The noise was going to tear my head open. I couldn’t hear anything, even if Domenica and Nora were sitting not far from me, I couldn’t talk to them. 

I kept frowning. Vernon was sitting beside me, he noticed my discomfort, and he said something, but it was too loud for me to hear. He leaned in close to my ear, so close he was practically pressed up against me. 

“Is this the first time you take a ride in a helicopter?” 

I didn’t think he could hear my answer in such a loud environment, nor did I want to lean in close to him, so I nodded and made sure he saw that 

Oddly, he smiled and then he held my hand in his, he squeezed my hand slightly which brought me some comfort. 

‘He’s so much better than Terry: Kaela suddenly said to me. 

It was weird to hear the voice in your head when your surrounding was so loud. 

Judging from what? Terry was good to me at first, who knew what he would act like after he meets his fated mate, maybe he would be just like Terry. And who knows, maybe he already had his fated mate at home. 

I couldn’t help but shudder at this thought. Vernon felt it and he thought I was cold, so he took off his coat to put it on me. 

‘See, he’s so nice! Kaela was proving her point. 

I guess! But still, I just knew him for two days, maybe he already had a Luna at home, or his fate mate. 

‘He said he would let all his harem go! 

‘He has a harem! What kind of man has that? Not even Terry!” 

‘Terry wasn’t the strongest Alpha, you know, he was just an alpha. And besides he didn’t know anyone from his harem, isn’t this enough? 

‘He better. I didn’t leave ‘Terry just to share another man with a bunch of women, I couldn’t and wouldn’t take it. I’m not easy like that

Well, maybe she was right about this. Don’t jump to conclusions. 

Luckily the helicopter arrived at our destination soon. I had never been to the Bloodlust Furs Pack before. I wondered what kind of place raise someone like Vernon The Moonhunter, the strongest Alpha. 

We stopped in front of the Pack House. He got off first and then as I was getting off, he held out his hand so that I wouldn’t fall 1 sometimes wonder why he did this, he didn’t need to do that, I was already in his clutch, he didn’t need to impress me. And I was sure that a lot of women would be begging to please him. 

“Welcome to the Bloodlust Furs.” 

He smiled as he said so proudly, after all, it was all his hard work. Damn, he was so handsome, I knew it was cliché to say so, but his smile did light up the whole room. His pearly white and the sparks in his eyes made him look more approachable. 

I didn’t say anything, just nodded. 

“Let me give you a tour.” He said as he held my hand. 

His Pack House was huge compared to the one we had, it was more like a castle. There was a large pool in front of the house and a really big lawn, they all looked well–maintain. 

“You can use the pool if you want. I would love to see you in a bikini.” He winked at me and I just ignored him, I was used to his teasing at this point. 

He walked me into the hall. A huge chandelier was in the middle of the ceiling, it was a crystal chandelier designed with 4 layers of crystals and matte black and rose gold metal frame. It was luxurious and elegant. I really liked the style, it must looked so pretty at night. 

Chapter 13 

“The first room to the left is the meeting room, we usually had our meetings here.” He said as he pointed at a white wooden door. 

Okay, I totally didn’t care about that. All I saw was the chandelier and beautiful interior design of his Pack House. 

He led me to the kitchen, it was a modern kitchen with three big fridges, there were huge ovens, and a lot of microwaves, it looked more like a cafeteria than a kitchen. 

“And let me show you my favorite place in the house.” He opened the back door of the house, and it was leading to the garden. 

There were some trees I couldn’t name, but the most eye–catching things were the flowers! There was Hydrangea, Conellower, Dahlia, Daisy, Petunia, and even Iris! There were also a lot of wildflowers I couldn’t recognize. The color arrangement was really stunning. I think it was also my favorite place in this Pack House. 

“This is so beautiful!” I said. I knew I had no choice but to stay here, as least the place was beautiful, the only solace here. 

“Yes, it is. I found my peace here. He said while kept looking at me. 

“Come on, let’s go to the second floor.” 

The second floor was the common area, it was where people hang around, just like our Pack House. The first room was a big gym, with several treadmills, and a boxing arena. I could use some time here. And the right was a lounge room, some couches, and some beanbags were placed there.. 

“There was a cinema, and a library if you are feeling bored. We could have dates here. He suggested. 

I rolled my eyes. 

I couldn’t even finish a tour without him flirting with me. 

“And let’s go see the room you will be sleeping in” He said as we walked to the third floor. 

It was a large suite with a balcony. The breeze was blowing the light color curtains, the sun peeked through the window sill. 

It was good, but it was… Taken? 

“Is this your room?” I asked. 

“Yes, you are staying with me.” 

“What? I’m not sleeping with you!” I said angrily as I tried to walk out of the room. 

He immediately grabbed me by my hi 

hips and pulled me back, 

“We slept together last night, why do you get shy now?” 

“That… That was for the time being! I’m not sleeping with you every night I felt heat rise to my face and my ears again, I didn’t know if it was from the shame or anger I felt. 

“No, where else would you be staying? Come on, you haven’t seen all of it. You will like it here, I promise.” His hand was firm on my lower back, just above my butt, and he pushed me to walk with him. 

“Here, I have your closet here. I know you didn’t bring anything with you, so you will find everything you need here, from top to bottom, and even bikinis if you feel like swimming” 

Honestly, Terry never let me wear a bikini, he would allow me to skinny dip with him in remote lakes where we were the only ones there. But he would never allow me to wear a bikini or any swimwear near a pool. 

“I picked this dress for you, I think you will look beautiful in this.” He said as he picked out a long dress, it was a spaghetti strap green summer dress, ankle length. It was cute and tasteful, it showed some skin but not too revealing. 

This dress was the kind Terry would never let me wear. But now I could see myself wearing it. 

“And maybe you could wear this for me tonight.” He noticed that I was staring at the other section of the closet, and he took out a set of lingerie. I instantly blushed at the sight of the set, there was hardly any cloth on this lingerie, only straps and lace. 

“You looked so cute when you blushed. He chuckled as he lean in close to me, and his hand once again find its way to my lower back. 

Our breaths mixed together, his face was right in front of mine, and I could count his eyelashes as he brushed his lips against mine. He didn’t seem to be in a hurry, pulling away when I was trying to close the distance. I felt the temperature rising in the small confinement of the walk–in closet. 

In the heat of the moment, I closed my eyes. And I could feel him lean in even closer, his chest firmly pressed against me. When our
