Chapter 18

Tyler’s p.o.v

“Evil will- I can’t read this Mia” I closed the book and turned to see Mia asleep.

A small smile graced my lips, as I touched her soft cheek. Mia is really beautiful

I climbed off the bed slowly, making sure I didn’t wake Mia up. I tucked Mia in bed properly, and kissed her forehead slowly.

“I love you Mia” I whispered kissing her nose slowly then standing up straight.

I left the book on her table, and walked out the room.

Walking downstairs to the kitchen I saw Emily crying and Alec hugging her.

“I c-”

“It’s okay Tyler” Emily mumbled wiping her eyes

“Your a hybrid” Alec stated as I sat down on the stool

“Yes, I am”

“A vampire and a werewolf” Alec nodded

“And a wizard” I said as Emily sat down opposite me

“How is that possible? You’re parents either were werewolf, vampire or a wizard. Unless one of you’re parents was a hybrid as well,but that still-”

“Shall I explain?” I asked and he nodded sitting down next to Emily.

“My dad was a vampire and a werewolf. And my mom was a wizard. I’m Daniel’s twin brother an-”

“What!” Alec shouted standing up

“I’m not sure why you’re getting angry?” I asked and he scoffed

“Not getting angry? I know what you’re like, get my daughter to like to and then you leave her. I don’t fucking think so” Alec growled

“Alec, Tyler isn’t like that” Emily pulled on his arm and he looked at her.

“So this is the big secret you were hiding from me Emily? This is about our daughter-”

“I know Alec. Don’t shout at me please” she whispered and Alec sighed

“I’m sorry Emily, but hiding all of this from me is wrong. Mia is my daughter as well, and I have rights on her as well. If it concerns my daughter, I want to know” Alec muttered

“It wasn’t Emily’s fault. I told her not to tell anyone because, I didn’t want anyone to know” I said and he looked at me.

“I want a whole explanation to this, right now Tyler” he ordered and I nodded

“I’m Daniel’s twin brother. Daniel is older than me by 5 minutes, and he was only given the werewolf gene. But when I was born, mom already knew I was a hybrid. She knew I was powerful, so she didn’t tell anyone, except my dad and Daniel. Daniel was always jealous of me, because mom looked after me more, teaching me powers---And Daniel always tried to get attention from mom and dad both. So when they gave him attention, he brainwashed them, saying that I hurt him because I was jealous of him. He would always say that I hurt him with my powers,but I didn’t. Mom and dad believed him and always told me never to come out of my room” I took a deep breath as Emily’s eyes filled with tears.

“And then when I turned 16, Daniel took it a little further. One day me and Daniel were having an argument, when he grabbed a vase from the table in my room, and broke it on his own head. I was kind of shocked because I thought he was going crazy. But then I realised, why he did that. Because mom and dad had come home.

I could smell them downstairs.

Daniel ripped his clothes a little, messed his hair up, and scratched himself on his arms. When mom and dad came upstairs, they were shocked, and Daniel blamed it on me. Saying that I hurt him because I was jealous! I wasn’t jealous of him at all. I knew my parents loved me, even though they didn’t show it. But dad got angry. Daniel was always dad’s favourite. Dad attacked me. He shifted into his wolf and attacked me. Mom tried to save me, she used her powers on dad to move him away. But dad, attacked mom and killed her. And it was all my fault. And then Hunter, my wolf took control and killed dad. But I don’t blame Hunter, because it was my fault as well I knew what I was doing. After that day, I didn’t talk to anyone, I didn’t want to hurt anyone else” Emily was crying

“So what does Mia have to do with this?” Alec asked wiping Emily’s tears.

“Mia?” I smiled “I love Mia. Mia isn’t Daniel’s mate.” He was shocked

" Do you know Anna? She’s a witch. So she can use her powers to make people think that they’re mates. And that’s what she did to Mia. I knew Daniel wasn’t Mia’s mate, but if I told Mia, she wouldn’t even talked to me. So I didn’t bother. But when she found out about it herself, I knew that was my chance to make Mia mine, and now I have. I know Mia loves me”

“Loves you?” Emily smiled, wiping her eyes

“Yeah, it’s just that something is stopping her from accepting it.” I mumbled and Emily sighed just as Liam walked into the room.

“Alec, there’s a rouge that wants to see Tyler” he said looking at me.

“Come on” Alec mumbled walking out the kitchen with Liam.

“Tyler? You coming?” Emily asked and I nodded, getting up and following her out of the kitchen.

We all walked outside to see a girl standing there, not facing us. She looked familiar from her back, her hair especially.

She turned around and I was shocked to see..

“Amber?” I asked

“Tyler!” She ran towards me and hugged me tightly

“What are you doing here?” I asked confused

“Well I missed you, so I came back, why, didn’t you miss me?” She pouted at me

“But you were in England?” I asked confused as she stepped back.

“Like I said Tyler, I came back to see you. I missed you. But it’s like you didn’t even miss your fiancée” she rolled her eyes and Alec growled lowly.

Before I could answer, I smelt her scent, vanilla and coconut. Mia.

I turned around to see Mia standing there with tears in her eyes.

“I was stupid. So fucking stupid!” She shouted running back inside.

“Mia” Emily shouted running after her.

“You asshole” Alec growled, punching me and I fell to the floor.

“Tyler!” Amber shouted kneeling down, as Alec walked inside.

“Why are you lying Amber? You’re not my fiancée” I whispered confused

“I am. Remember we made a promise that when I come back, we’ll work on our relationship.” She said and I shook my head standing up

“No, no, no. Mia is the girl I want to spend the rest of life with.” I mumbled, shaking my head, running back inside. I ran upstairs to Mia’s room to see her parents standing outside.

“Mia open the door!” Alec shouted, banging on the door.

“Alec what if she-” Alec shook his head

“No!” He shouted pushing the door.

“It’s a misunderstanding. Amber isn’t my fiancée” I walked towards the door, just as Alec broke the door.

Alec and Emily ran inside and we couldn’t find Mia.

“Mia! I swear if you are doing it-” the bathroom door opened and Mia walked out smiling.

“Chill guys. I won’t kill myself over a guy. I’m not stupid.” She smiled at them as Emily hugged her and Alec kissed her forehead.

“Mia, Amber isn’t-” she shook her head at me.

“I don’t care Tyler. I never liked you that much anyway. You were just a rebound guy for me, to forget Daniel. And it worked” she smirked at me, as Emily let her go, and looked up at her.

“Mi-”

“It’s true mom. I never liked Tyler, he’s not my type of guy” she shook her head

“I know you’re lying Mia” I said

“Lying? Really? Don’t flatter yourself pretty boy, and go back to your fiancée.” She muttered walking out of the room.

“Asshole” Alec shouted and punched me again then walked out the room.

“Is she?” Emily asked and I shook my head looking at her.

“She’s not, Emily. I promise”

“Then why is she saying that?” She asked

“I don’t know” I ran out of room and down the stairs to see Mia sat in the living room alone.

“Mia” I stood in front of her. She stood up and the only thing I could about was that she is so beautiful.

“Never heard of personal space?” She asked and I shook my head, touching her cheek gently, feeling the sparks a little. I don’t think Mia would feel them yet because, she’s just shifted, and hasn’t got her wolf under control.

“Mia, you love me?” She rolled her eyes

“I don’t love you Tyler nor do I like you. Just leave me alone” she said and I shook my head continously

“No! You love me, I know it. Something is stopping you from accepting it. I love you Mia, not Amber. Amber is my friend! And you- you’re way more that a friend to me” I whispered grabbing her hand slowly just as Amber walked in.

“A friend? Tyler, you promised me that you would marry me? Remember this?” She pointed to her gold ring.

“Amber I didn’t-”

“You did. Remember when you were telling me that you killed your parents? And then you said that your mom would love to have me as a daughter, so you said that we should get married.” Mia stared at me, in shock

“I was going to tell yo-”

“When?”

“I don’t know” I whispered and she shook her head and stepped away from me.

Before she could turn around and walk away I grabbed her hand.

“Mia, just listen to me. You have to give me a chance to explain!” I shouted and she turned around

“To explain what? That you were using me? That you already have a girlfriend- oh sorry a fiancée!” She shouted back

“No! About my parents! Don’t you think I deserve a chance to explain to you!”

“I don’t want to hear it Tyler I don’t want to know anything about you! Just leave me alone from now on!” She walked away.

“I’m not going to leave you Mia!” I try to run after her but Amber grabs my hand

“What is all this about Tyler?” She asked confused.

“This is all your fault Amber! You shouldn’t go around blurting things to people. And we’re not engaged!” I shouted and she nodded

“I knew I shouldn’t have taken your drunken words for it. I was stupid.” She muttered letting my hand go

“Wait! I was drunk? And thats when I said it? Seriously Amber? Just leave!Oh my god!” I groaned running upstairs to Mia’s room.

The door was locked.

“Mia, please just listen to me” I muttered, knowing she would be able to hear me now, because of her wolf.

“Go away Tyler” she groaned

“I’m not going away. If I have to sit outside of your room then I will. But I’m not leaving” I explained

“Go right ahead!” She muttered and I sat down on the floor, crossing my legs.

“Make yourself comfortable” I heard her exclaim

“I love you Mia” I replied

“I hate you Tyler” I heard her whisper.
