“Mia, wake up” I heard someone say

I opened my eyes to see Tyler staring down at me, while smiling.

“Morning” he smirked

“What are you doing in my bed?” I asked confused sitting up quickly

“What?” He asked sitting up properly

“What are you doing in-” I shook my head remembering yesterday.

“Sorry. I forgot” I said and he nodded confused

“You’re okay, right?” I nodded

“Can you call my mom please?” I asked and he nodded getting off the bed.

“Come here” he sighed motioning to me

I stood up on the bed and walked towards him.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” He wrapped his arms around my waist

“I’m okay” I sighed and he nodded

He leaned up, and kissed my cheek.

“I’ll call your mom” he smiled at me and walked out of the room.

Tyler? What is wrong with you? I thought shaking my head and smiling

as mom walked into the room.

“What’s wrong sweetie?” She asked as I sat on the bed and she pulled a chair towards her.

“I don’t have any pills left” I whispered and she stood up

“You should have told me Mia. When did they finish?”

“A week ago?”

“Shit!”

“You swore!” I exclaimed

“That’s not a swear word. It’s poo.” She rolled her eyes

“But still. Dad is going to be so impressed” I smiled and she rolled her eyes.

“I swear when I’m angry” she sighed

My mom never swears, she was never taught how to swear, but she learned some words from dad. Dad maybe a bad influence on her...

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you mom.”

“It’s okay Mia. Are you forgetting anything?”

“Kind of. I forgot why Tyler was sleeping with me” I mumbled embarrassed

“Sleeping with you?” She shook her head

" Don’t tell your dad. He told him to sit on the sofa.” I smiled

“Well he- nothing. Mom do you have any more pills?” I asked

“I don’t think so, but I’ll go check. If I don’t, then I’ll make them for you in a few hours. Don’t worry Mia, I won’t let anything happen to you” she kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.

Laying in bed, and looking at the ceiling ,the only thing wondering around in my head was Tyler.

I wasn’t worried about having a hole in my heart, or having terminal cancer, or the fact that I only have a few months left to live. I was just worried about Tyler. He likes me, and I’ll leave him in a couple of mouths. I don’t know when I’ll be going.

All of sudden, a pain started in my head.

Pain started from my head, and went through my whole body.

“Mom!” I screamed,fisting the duvet in my hands tightly.

“Mia” dad walked into the room quickly.

“Mia!” Dad shouted running towards me. He touched my forehead and quickly removed it like as if it burned him.

“Dad...what’s ha-” I screamed

“It’s okay Mia. You’re shifting. I’m going to put you on the floor okay?” He explained as mom and Tyler ran into the room.

“Mia!” Tyler shouted running towards me.

“Back away Tyler” dad muttered

On 3, dad picked me up quickly and laid me down on the floor.

“Are you okay Alec?” Mom walked towards him to see his arms red

“She’s boiling? Why Emily?” I heard dad mumble

“Mia, I’m here baby” Tyler whispered lowering down towards me.

“What if she’s a hybrid?” Mom mumbled shocked

“But I wasn’t boiling” Tyler looked at her

“Wait! Your a hybrid?” Dad looked at him.

“So what’s happening to her?” Mom asked Tyler as I felt my bones cracking.

“Oh shit!” I screamed.

“Shush Mia. It’s okay” Tyler touched my forehead, removing stray pieces of hair.

I closed my eyes letting everything happen to me.

I felt my bones cracking, as I held Tyler’s hand tightly.

“Tyler your hand” mom called out.

“It’s okay Emily. It doesn’t hurt” I heard Tyler mumble, running a hand threw my hair slowly.

“It’s okay Mia. You’re just changing, I’m going to let you hand go, now” he whispered before he left my hand.

I opened my eyes to see everything black and white. I closed my eyes quickly, before I felt my bones cracking, and after a few minutes, I was standing on four paws.

I opened my eyes to see mom looking at me shocked.

“She’s the grey wolf..” mom whispered

I looked down at myself, to see I was a a grey wolf, with a little mixture of white.

Hi! Someone exclaimed in my head and I jumped

Oh shit sorry. I’m your wolf, my name is Ella someone muttered again, but slowly this time, and I just stayed quiet.

My name is Mia I thought and she nodded mentally.

“Mia, sweetie you look amazing” mom kneeled down and ran a hand threw my fur.

“I’ll try the mindlink with you okay?” I nodded

“Jus think about your human self. About your hair, your body” she said and I nodded

Closing my eyes, I thought about my body. I heard my bones cracking before I fell to the floor. I opened my eyes to see I was still dressed.

“I-” I was speechless

I looked up at mom and dad to see proudness floating around in their eyes.

I looked at Tyler to see hurt in his eyes.

“Tyler? What’s wrong?” I asked standing up slowly

“You can’t be the grey wolf. You just can’t!” He exclaimed

“Wh-”

“Tyler don’t” mom shook her head at him

“Did you know?” He turned to mom

“No I didn’t. But just leave it”

“No Emily. She can’t be the grey wolf. She can’t” Tyler shook his head looking at me.

“What’s wrong? I swear guys, when I’m a human you have a problem with that, now that I’m a wolf, you have a problem with that. Seriously” I mumbled sitting on my bed.

“Mia, we don’t have a problem with anything. Come with me” dad held my hand and pulled me out of the room.

“Where are we going?” I asked as dad walked up the stairs with me behind him.

“I’m going to give you something okay.” We walked inside his room, and he let go of my hand

“Emily, has been reading a book, a book that she found a couple of days ago. Emily met the moon goddess, in her sleep a few nights ago.

And the moon goddess told her to read this book. Now I want you to read it, and understand why Tyler is upset” he handed me the book and I nodded

The grey wolf was written across the front cover.

“I’ll be in my room” I mumbled walking out of his room. I walked downstairs to my room, to see Tyler sat on my bed and mom looking at him

“Mia? I’ll let you guys be together” mom mumbled and walked out the room before closing the door behind her.

“What’s wrong Tyler?” I whispered walking towards him.

“Are you not happy for me?” He stood up

“I am happy for you Mia. More than you can imagine, but I don’t want you to be the grey wolf” he whispered, gently caressing my cheek. I felt different, a little spark on my cheek. He moved his hand quickly.

“Why?”

“Because I don’t want to lose you Mia. I want to at least start a relationship with you” I closed my eyes

“Explain to me Tyler. Tell me why you would lose me?” I whispered looking at him.

“I’ll read it to you” he took the book off me

“Come on Mia” he walked towards the bed and laid under the duvet,with me behind him.

“Will you promise me something?” He asked opening the book

“What?”

“That you will never leave me?”

Taking a deep breath, I shook my head

“I can’t Tyler” I whispered

“Why?”

“Because who knows what the future is”

“Okay, but just promise me that you will try your best to never leave me”

“I-I promise” he smiled at me

“Good. Now let’s start” he glared at the book

“The grey wolf. The moon goddess has given only one person the opportunity to be the grey wolf. No werewolf is a grey colour.
