Chapter 19

I wasn’t feeling well today. All night I couldn’t go to sleep, thinking why did Tyler do this to me?

I really want him to explain to me, but then I think that this is a really good excuse for me to push Tyler away. I only have a few months to live.

Summer and Adam had gone on a road trip, and they have been gone for a couple of days now and I’m really happy for them, because Summer is really happy.

I got changed into my floral maxi dress and wore my flip flops. I already had a shower.

Opening the door I was shocked to see Tyler laying his head on the wall. He opened his eyes and looked at me.

“Mia” he stood up quickly.

“Don’t. You’re really stupid for sleeping here” I shook my head and walked around him.

“Mia, stop, please” he sighed stretching, which rolled his shirt up a little and you could see his defined 6 pack.

“Leave me alone Tyler. Don’t you have a job to get to?” I rolled my eyes trying not look at him

“I work from home, but that’s not the point Mia. The point is that me and Amber are not engaged” he explained

“Yeah, and how many more girls are going to come to our doorstep saying that your engaged to them?” I raised my eyebrow. My heart broke when I saw hurt in Tyler’s eyes.

“You don’t mean that Mia, I know you don’t” he whispered and I turned around, not able to face him

“I mean it Tyler. God knows how many girls you have ‘told’ that you’re going to get married too, and then leave,and move on to the next girl. Thank God, Amber came so I didn’t fall into your trap” I knew what I was saying was harsh, but I had to make Tyler hate me.

“Shut up Mia. This isn’t you” he grabbed my arm and turned me around.

Pulling me closer, he gently caresses my cheek.

I feel sparks but Tyler isn’t my mate, so it’s just my imagination, right?

“This isn’t you Mia, this isn’t how you are. You’re nice, not cold. You’re sweet, not mean. Please don’t be like this Mia” he whispered running his hand down my cheek.

“You don’t know me Tyler” I whispered pushing him away, and turning around.

“I do know you. Your a girl that would help others, before herself. A girl that would be proud of her kindness. A girl that would never hurt anyone. A girl that is sweet, kind, beautifu-”

“Stop!” I shouted and ran downstairs. I ran out of the castle and straight toward the forest. Ever since I have shifted, I have become more faster and I love it.

Running to a big tree, I stopped. I climbed the tree slowly, and sat on a strong branch that wasn’t too high.

“You know he didn’t-” Ace.

“I know Ace” I whispered

“But you’re pushing him away because you don’t want to hurt him in the end when you leave. You need to tell him Mia, that when you were 12-”

“That when I was 12, I died. And how did I die? By Killing myself? He’ll pity me. And I don’t want that”

“But if you tell him why you did it, he might understand?” Ace mumbled and I scoffed

“Understand what Ace? That a stupid 12 years old girl thought that the only way to get rid of all the bullying was to kill herself? No, I just don’t want to talk about that” I explained

Ace kept quiet for a couple of seconds before he started talking again.

“Did you read the book?” He asked

“No”

“Do you want me to tell you what it is about?” He asked and I nodded

“You know Anna and Daniel are the ‘evil’ mentioned in the book. You know where it said evil will return? Well that’s Anna, because she’s already dealt with your mom. Do you know the reason why you never shifted?” He asked and I looked at him, shaking my head

“Because Anna stopped your wolf from waking up. You know those voices you would hear in your head,was Anna trying to get a control of your wolf again. When you had a severe head, that was Anna losing control on your wolf” he explained

“How do you know?”

“Moon goddess” he said and I nodded

“So when Anna and Daniel come, you have to defeat them. And for Anna, you have to do it alone. Anyone can kill Daniel if they want, but it’s Anna that you have to kill alone”

“But I don’t have any powers or anything? Anna is a witch and I’m just a wolf” I muttered

“You’ll figure something out Mia. I know you will.”

“Ace can you do me a favour?” He nods

“Can you ask the moon goddess, if I will live? If I can get rid of this terminal cancer, this hole in my heart? I’m a wolf so I can heal right?” I asked and he sighed, staying quiet

“You’ve already asked? And the answer was no” I mumbled and he lowered his head.

“It’s okay. I don’t mind. I was just worried about my parents that’s why-”

“I asked the moon goddess, and she said no, because if you’re given this, it must be for a reason” he mumbled looking up at me.

“Reason? Seriously? The reason to hurt my parents? I can’t let that happen Ace. Both of my parents have been through enough, and if I die, god knows what will happen to them” I exclaim

“It’s okay Mia. We’ll find away around this.” He held my hand tightly and I nodded

“I know. You have to come and meet my da-”

“Nope! Listen Mia, they can’t see me, so there’s no point in creating another mess- Shush!” He covered my mouth and froze.

“Anna is here. You go back inside and I’ll try to stop her” he pushed me down from the tree and I landed on my back.

“I could have died”

“You’re a wolf now, you’ll heal” he smirked and I quickly stood up.

“Go!” Ace shouted and I nodded.

I ran as fast as I could to the castle

“Dad!” I shouted running into the living room to see mom and dad sat there.

“What’s wrong?” They both stood up

“Anna is here” I mumbled taking deep breaths to calm myself down.

Dad ran out of the castle and mom walked towards me.

“Mia, you shouldn’t be running.” Mom mumbled as aunt Nat ran inside.

“Alec said to get Mia safely upstairs. Lock her up in her room and put a shield around it Emily” she said and mom nodded

“Come on Mia” mom held my hand and pulled me upstairs to my room. I went inside knowing it was best for me.

Walking out of my bathroom was Tyler and he looked shocked.

“What are you doing?” I asked and he looked at mom.

“I’ll look after her” he said and mom nodded closing the door after her.

“What were you doing in my bathroom?” I asked

“I’ll show you” he held my hand and we walked to the bathroom.

I was shocked to see candles lit everywhere, the bath filled with water and Roses. And right next to the bath, on the floor was a candle with a heart around in it. It was so sweet.

“Tyle-”

“No Mia. I want you to enjo-”

“Enjoy? Really? When my parents are fighting outside? When someone is here to take me?” I asked

“I know I shouldn’t have done this” he mumbled to himself, walking out of the bathroom.

Now I feel bad.

You should. Why push him away, when you can spend the last couple of months with him Ella explained and I nodded slowly.

I walked out of the bathroom to see Tyler pacing up and down.

“Tyl-” he walked towards me, and cupped my face in his hands gently, while leaning down, lips parting slightly, his ocean- blue eyes, staring at me.

We were so close I could feel the heat of his body, warm mine, I could hear the soft whisper of his breath as he exhaled.

He was staring at me, like he was asking permission. I blinked my eyes, and knowing Tyler, he knew what I meant.

His kiss was soft, but urgent, like he was afraid I would leave. I closed my eyes as he pulled me closer, and as our lips moved in sync. I could feel my heart racing.

Tyler slowly pulled back and I opened my eyes to see him taking deep breaths.

“I can hear your heart beat” he whispered staring at me and I nodded, unable to form a few words, because I was breathless.

“Are you okay Mia?” He asked and I nodded closing my eyes, taking deep breaths.

I moved away slowly but he grabbed my hand, when I felt dizzy slightly.

“Mia, what’s wrong?” He asked looking at me confused

“Nothing. I’m just a little overwhelmed” I muttered and he smirked, before the door opened and Anna walked into the room.

“How sweet” she smirked freezing Tyler quickly before muttering a few words before everything turned black and I couldn’t see anything except Anna.

“What the fuck have you done?” I asked looking around, and couldn’t see anything except Anna.

“Going to my house” she smirked before the blackness disappeared, and we were standing in a living room.

Daniel was sat on the sofa watching TV

“Took you long enough. What happened?” He asked and Anna rolled her eyes

“Emily the stupid bitch kept stopping me” she muttered

“How did you get past the whole pack?” I asked confused

“By freezing everyone”

“But my mom and Tyler? How?”

“Ugh! You ask too many question. Emily tried to stop me with her powers, but I froze her, a couple of times, and ran to your room, and then froze Tyler, while whispering the spell to bring you here. Anything else you want to know?”

“Yeah bitch. How do I get home?” I asked and she smirked

“Well, that’s really easy to say? You want to tell her Daniel?” She looked up at him and he stood up nodding.

“Well ex- mate of mine, all you do is, walk out of the room, and then-” he rubbed a gell on my arm.

“What the fuck Daniel?” I shouted looking at the yellow gel on my arms.

Daniel sat back down when I started feeling dizzy.

He turned to Anna and she pulled him towards him, and kissed him. That was the last thing I saw before I collapsed into the floor, unconscious.
