Chapter No 15 Nowhere to Go

It was the beautiful big Mansion where she was standing. There was a huge golden grilled gate in front of the mansion between two great red-painted walls. She could not see beyond because of the gate and the walls.

“Whoa Lilly, look at this place, it’s so huge,” Althea said excitedly.

“Hurry up girl let’s go in, you saved my life, my parents would treat you good,” he said smiling.

She was about to put her foot inside the mansion when her wolf got too alert.

“What is Lilly?” She asked.

“Althea we can’t go in,” she said furious.

“But why?” She asked.

“Althea, the scent, it’s the same scent we had when we were in that club remember?” She was furious.

“Oh no, I did not notice we had to run,” she said.

A tall woman who had ginger hair was coming towards the gate and a tall blond man with her looked a bit worried.

“Mom, Dad.” Max ran towards them and hugged them.

“You naughty kid where have you been? I have told you not to go alone,” she said angrily. “Don’t you know how worried I was?” She said while hugging him.

“Mom, I have been attacked by some rogue,” he said innocently.

“What? When? Who was it?” Asked the man.

“Dad, this girl saved me,” he said, pointing at his back.

“Which girl?” Asked the woman while looking.

“This girl,” he said, turning but no one was there.

“Where has she gone?” He asked irritated.

“Althea? Althea?” He called out.

“No one is their son,” said the man.

“Come inside you are grounded,” said the woman who took him with her inside while the man was staring at the gate. His wolf sensed someone’s presence.

She was running as fast as she could. “I did not think they were not trustworthy,” she said while taking heavy breaths.

“We can’t trust anyone, Althea,” Lilly said.

She was again outside the wood.

“It’s better if we stay in the city,” she said. Her stomach was growling. She had put her hand over her stomach.

“Seems like it will be hard,” she whispers.

After walking for hours she was feeling exhausted. It was already cold. Between the alleys, she found a place near the trash. She had her leather Jacket with her. She took it out of her bag. After taking it on she had a strange déjà vu. It reminds her of that night when she falls asleep with Tyler.

A tear fell from her eye.

“I always knew that I was unwanted but unwanted by my mate?” She thought. She hugged her jacket tightly.

“I wish you had loved me,” another tear fell from her eyes.

He got out of the car and went inside the bakery. After fifteen minutes he came out with a lot of things.

He put the things inside the car and then turned. When he saw something besides the bakery’s alley. He narrowed his eyes. He was not wrong, it was indeed a girl.

“Oh no she is a wolf,” he thought. He went ahead to investigate. She was holding her jacket tightly covering herself up. Her expressions were telling that she is in pain. Her cheeks were blushing. She looked up, tipsy. He had gone startled. “You are in heat,” he said.

“If I touch her in this state her wolf will become aggressive, and she will feel more pain,” he thought, but she had already gone faint. He gives her a sigh. She was very cold. He took off his Jacket and put it on her and later he lifted her in his strong arms and walked towards his car.

Her body was feeling comfortable and warmer. She felt a strange environment around her. She opened her eyes slowly and got up. She was in a different environment and she was sleeping on the warm bed. She pulled her hair back. He was standing near the window taking sips of coffee. She was startled and got up in a rush.

“Where am I?” She said aloud. He turned.

“Are you awake?” He said smiling.

“Who are you and what am I doing here? Tell me now or else I will fight you” she said making a fist.

He chuckled.

“This is quite not a good way to say thank you to your savior,” he said.

He put her fist down.

“Safe? Safe from what?” She asked.

“From the storm you…you were in a storm and you were in heat,” he said while avoiding her eyes. Her cheeks start to burn red. He gives her a sigh.

“Did your mate know you are here?” He asked. “How do you know I have found my mate?” She said while crossing her arms around her chest.

“An alone wolf, in the middle of a stormy night, and the main reason to ask if she was on heat, an average wolf feels the heat when she found her mate already, the genuine urge to mate,” he said while looking inside her eyes. She felt her blood rushing through her cheeks. He turned towards the window again.

“Or you left him,” he said in a deep voice. She felt like someone had taken her heart in a fist. She remained quiet.

“You can live here if you want to,” he said again.

“Who are you?” She asked curiously.

“I am Mateo, brother of Alpha of this pack,” he said in a deep voice.

“Alpha? Pack?” She said, startled. He turned suddenly. There was fear on her face.

“Oh no they will kill me, rogues are not allowed,” she thought.

He walked towards her “What happened?” He asked with concern.

“I, please don’t kill me, I am no threat, please,” she said while begging him.

“She must have gone through a lot,” he thought, feeling pity for her.

“Relax girl, I did not say you are a threat,” he said calmly.

“But rogues are not allowed in the packs,” she said with tears in her eyes.

He felt his heart melting down, He wanted to make her feel good.

“You are in the north pole pack and there is no fear of rogue, we welcome them until they are no threat,” he said.

“ Northpole?” She said, startled. He gives her a sigh, “Why is she always so scared?” he thought.

She was shivering with fear. He put his hand over her shoulder.

“Relax girl, you are safe,” he said calmly.

“How can I be safe? My attacker is here in the pack” she thought.

“Trust him, he is trustworthy,” said Lilly.

She felt relaxed and took a deep breath.

“You are under my protection now, so you should not be worried about anything now,” he said while calming her down.

“My name is Althea. How do you notice I am a wolf?” She said in a whisper.

“It was your scent, Althea, now consider this pack as your own, I will not ask you what is your past but now your present is here, I will introduce you to my family, you will feel comfortable here and I will send my sister to you after a while she will provide you clothes,” he said smiling.

“Oh I must have unmasked my scent during the pain,” she thought as he turned to leave when she stopped him.

“Mateo,” He turned and looked at her confused.

“You did ask about my eyes” She was curious because he was the first man who did not notice her oddness.

He smiled widely, “What about them? They are beautiful,” he said and turned to leave while she was still staring at the closed door.

Meanwhile in the River-stone pack

He was beating them for hours. He was punching them like a punching bag, “Tell me why you were after her?” He said in a hoarse voice. He was beating them like a beast.

“He is turning into a beast,” said Ellis, who was watching him go crazy.

“Do you think the same as I am thinking?” Asked Jacob.

He looked into his eyes and nodded. “It’s not about the traitor, it’s about her, he is going crazy because of her,” said Ellis.

“I wonder where she is gone? I tried everywhere to find her, she is my best friend, I miss her, first I lost Gena and now her,” said Jacob in a broken voice. Ellis had put his hand over Jacob’s shoulder.

“I know you are worried about her, but she was my friend too, I don’t want to say it as she is Tyler’s mate now, I had a crush on her,” he said, Jacob gave him a deep sigh and took a deep breath.

“In his whole life Tyler has treated her differently, is it the moon goddess’ joke over him that she turns out to be his mate?” said Jacob chuckling.

“I am not worried about her anymore, because as far as I know, Tyler will find her for sure, because what’s his’ he never lets go easily,” Ellis said while chuckling.

“Tell me where is or else I will put you on a stake,” he said screaming he was so violent.

“Kill us, go on. But we don’t have anything to do with her disappearance, our plan was not to kidnap her it was always killing her” spoke one of those three men.

Jacob and Ellis become alert. ‘Killing her’ words were enough for Tyler to become grim. He lost his control and was about to kill them when both boys stopped him.

“Why do you want to kill her?” Screamed Jacob.

“You know, don’t you?” Said a man while looking into his eyes, giving him a chill through his spine. He looked away.

“Stop playing Riddles, tell us why?” Asked Ellis while grabbing his collar.

The man was crazy, he started laughing, he took something from his pocket, both Tyler and Ellis narrowed their eyes, it was some injection and the man had injected himself with that thing.

“No,” Tyler shouts. After a few minutes, he died.

They turned for the other two men, but they both had already injected themselves.

“No, It can’t be,” said Tyler angrily,

“They died,” said Ellis in a whisper.

“No, they were the only way for us to know about the traitor” Tyler screamed.

Jacob was looking at the wall aimlessly.

“We will find another way to know about the traitor,” said Ellis while trying to calm him down.

“You do not understand she is in danger,” screamed Tyler, making Ellis startled.

Tyler falls to his knees; he was looking so helpless and broken. Being apart from your mate unwillingly is the most lethal thing to a wolf.

“Why did you say that?” Ellis is shocked. But Tyler had not responded. Jacob was still in deep thought.

“I still don’t understand what they have to do with our Althea, she can’t even shift, why are they after her, what does she have to do with them?” Said Ellis angrily.

“She could shift,” said Jacob in a trance. Both Ellis and Tyler looked at him with expressions like they had seen a ghost. Tyler got up over his feet.

“What do you mean by″ she can shift?” He asked angrily.

“Yeah, I never saw her shift since I arrived here and she said she can’t shift into her wolf,” said Ellis confused.

“She can shift, the reason she hides was…..” he whispered.
