Chapter No 14 Heart Break

She closed her eyes; she was a bit scared because she did not know where she was heading to.

“Lilly, did we make the right choice?” She asked her wolf.

“This was our only choice,” said Lilly.

“Althea?” She called her name.

“Yeah Lilly,” She said,

“He hates us so much just for being a rogue that he threatened us?” She said sadly.

“Lilly I know you are upset, I want to confess,” she said.

“What?” She asked.

“I fell in love with him,” she said.

“What did you like mate for a long time ago?” She asked.

“No, not for a long time, since he started caring for us,” she said sadly.

“It breaks my heart Althea, rejection is the worst pain in the world,” she said sadly.

“Anyways what next Lilly? We have to survive on our own. Do you remember a few fighting skills?” She asked to change the topic.

“Yeah, I remember Jacob taught us,” she said.

“We have to survive this Lilly we have no one now, we have only us,” she said with a strong tone.

The train started and she took a deep breath. She was going far away from the place she lived throughout her life. A tear fell from her eye.

She was traveling on the train for more than eight hours; she wanted to leave this place as far as she could go. She knows no pack would accept her. She decides to live in human territory.

The train stopped. She got out of the train because it was the last station. She read the signboard “midnight city”. She took a deep breath. As she had masked her scent. She looked around the city and it was indeed good. She had no money, the only money she had was she already had brought a ticket.

“Lilly, we ran out of money,” she said.

“We have to explore the city then,” she said. She looked around the city and at the edge of midnight city, there was a forest.

“I hope Lilly there must be a cave where we can stay,” she thought smiling., but it was not safe. She could feel eerie sensations.

“Wow Lilly, it seems like we have to live on the streets,” said Lilly.

“At least we can take a bath in this steam,” she said.

Meanwhile in River-stone

“What have you done? My daughter,” said Jack sadly while reading the letter.

“Jack, she is gone, she is gone,” said Ruby she almost fell on her knees when Jack holds her in his arms.

“Ruby, calm yourself, we will find her,” he said worried.

“We lost our daughter, Jack, she never went out before, Jack, she must be in danger,” she said crying.

“I am also worried about Ruby but we have to be strong if we want to get her back,” he said sadly.

“Oh moon goddess, please take care of her, ″ said Ruby crying.

Ellis had knocked on the door, and after a while, Ruby opened the door. By looking at her face he got startled because she had puffy eyes like she had been crying for hours, “What happened?” He asked worriedly.

“Ellis our daughter our Althea” she started crying again. He held her and got her inside the home. He offered her water.

“What happened, where is she?” He asked worriedly. Ruby tells him everything.

His fists were tightened. “What have you done, silly girl?” He thought and ran out of the house.

The news of Althea’s envelopment was now spreading throughout the whole pack.

“The rogue escaped?” Said a woman.

“Yeah I heard she escaped, the girl died the other day, is it not strange the rogue ran away just after the incident?” Said the other girl nastily.

It was his first day as an Alpha. He was performing his regular duties. He was tense after what happened last night. He was signing some papers when Brody had run into his room.

“Tyler, Have you got the news?” He said worried, from his expression, he came to know that something serious has happened. He got up from his chair.

“What happened?” He asked.

“That girl we call a rogue, she has escaped” he screamed.

Tyler felt like his ears were ringing like ten thousand church bells, His expressions had gone changed.

“What do you mean by she escaped?” he asked angrily.

There was something in his eyes that made chills in Brody’s spin. Then he realized it was not him, it was his wolf instead. Tyler’s wolf Axel took control of his body.

He bows to him “My Alpha Axel, with due respect I want to tell you the girl left the letter last night and escaped, she said in the letter don’t try to find her. She made her arrangementS, and now everyone in the pack thinks that she was responsible for Gena’s death” he said in a bowed position.

Axel, who had lost his temper, left the room in a rush and turned into his wolf. He had a forced shift; he ran into the forest and howled so loud that the whole pack was shaken by his painful howl. Ellis, who was looking for Jacob in the woods. “Axel, It’s him, his wolf,” he thought, furious.

Everyone was in the pack office, all the royalties including Jacob and Ellis.

“Where is Tyler?” Asked Peter.

“Uncle, he had a force shift. He is in the woods currently” said Ellis.

Peter gives a nasty look. “As Alpha is not her, as a previous I will discuss the current matter,” he said.

“Jack, Where is your daughter?” Asked Peter.

“Alpha only if I know where she is I would have long gone to her, but she left a letter to us, we asked the patrolling wolves, and we searched for her, but they said no one has seen her,” he said while looking inside his eyes.

“I knew it from the beginning, trusting a rogue is a mistake,” said Kingsley. Jack gives him a death stare.

“Jack, I am sorry, we can’t help it anymore, she had run which means she is guilty we have to track her down,” said Peter.

“But my daughter is innocent, she was with Ellis when Gena was killed,” Jack said, Jacob was silently standing there.

“Yeah, she was with me,” said Ellis.

“But that does not prove that she is innocent, she might have asked someone to do it,” said Silvia.

“Once a rogue is always a rogue,” she said with a nasty smile, her smile faded when she received a hard slap from Ruby, “She is not rogue, she is my daughter, bitch, if you dare to bad mouth about my daughter I will fuck you right here.” She said while slapping her more.

Jack had stopped her. “Ruby, honey calm down please,” he said while hugging her.

The door had opened and Tyler had come inside the room.

He looked like a mess. His handsome face was looking so exhausted and his hairs were messy, his eyes were red like he smokes weed.

“Alpha, being a king to the pack, you should be sober while attending meetings,” said Peter, annoyed.

Jacob and Ellis give him a sigh.

“Anyhow as Alpha is here, what is our next move?” Asked Kingsley.

“What move?” Asked Tyler confused. Peter had rolled his eyes.

“He is 18 but behaving like 15,” he thought annoyed.

“Peter he is just a kid, give him some time,” said Elena through a mind link.

“We all think it’s Althea who is responsible for the rogue attack,” said Kingsley.

His expression changed a bit. He crossed his arms around his chest and asked “And what made you think that?” There was something in his tone which made both Jacob and Ellis exchange sighs.

“Well she has to escape, she knows we will interrogate the murder after your coronation, it is not a coincidence,” said Kingsley.

“We all have gathered proof, no matter what but the rogue is responsible,” said Silvia angrily.

This time Ruby gives her sigh, a deadly sigh.

“We can’t blame an innocent person on this pathetic evidence,” Tyler said calmly.

Silvia’s expression gone changed. She smirked.

“Well Alpha, looks like that rogue had a special effect on you, like she had made her place as a slut in the pack. This was the only duty she could have got in our pack like she had fucked with three royals first Jacob, then Ellis and now you, she should be here to spread legs,” she said with nasty expressions.

Tyler’s expression changed, his eyes turned red with anger,

“Is she having a death wish?” Thought Kingsley.

“Honey, it’s not going fine,” Elena said to Peter.

Jacob and Ellis rushed ahead to make a move but James had stopped them. While Regina had stopped Jack and Ruby but Tyler was beyond angry.

“Well, I am sorry for my mate’s words she is just worried about the pack,” said Kingsley sheepishly.

“Why do we care for that rogue girl? We have to haunt her down, she was nothing but a plague over our pack,” Silvia was not keeping it shut.

“Why should we care about her at all?” Said Kingsley. “A mare slut,” he said.

“Yeah, that slut, she should be track.....” Salvia was about to complete her sentence when she received a punch from Ruby. Tyler then punched Jack in the face, it was all obvious, and he is out of control.

“Because she is my mate” screamed Tyler. The room was now quiet as hell. Everyone was looking at Tyler, but Tyler was not there but Axel was. He walked in a rush towards Kingsley and Silvia and grabbed their throats, “She is mine, if any of you bad mouth about her or dare to touch her I will rip your heads,” he said in an Alpha command.

He was the strongest in the room, all of them submitted. He let go of their throats and left the room in a rush. Everyone was shocked except Peter.

He ran out of the pack house. It was a full moon and he was staring at it. “So, I lost you to protect you,” he said in a whisper. Axel was still in control.

“I wish I was able to protect you that day so that I could claim you,” he thought while smoking.

“I am yours’ Luna”. He felt a hand over his shoulder, and he turned. Ellis and Jacob were behind him.

“What are you doing here?” He asked rashly.

Their wolf took over them. “Axel! I know you are mad” said Blaze Ellis’ wolf.

“Yeah bro, you should not push yourself this much,” said Flint Jacob’s wolf. Axel took a deep breath.

“What happened? You can tell us after all we are related by blood,” said Flint.

“I can’t tell it to you right now,” said Axel through a mind link.

“What?” Asked Flint.

“Yeah I will tell you soon, but right all I will say there is a traitor in the pack, I am talking through mind-link because someone is hearing us,” he said through the mind-link. Both were shocked.

“We have to find it first,” he said and left. Both were staring at his back.

Midnight City

She had taken a bath, and now she was sitting beside the tree, she was feeling hungry. Her stomach was rumbling. It was already afternoon. Suddenly she smells some wolf’s scent. Then she heard a child crying.

“Oh no, someone is in danger Lilly we have to shift,” she said.

“But Althea this will put us into danger,” she said.

“I don’t care, Lilly, we have to save that child,” she said.

She was running.

She saw a man who was forcefully taking a seven to eight-year-old with him. She attacked him from behind.

Lilly was fully under control and powerful. She killed that wolf by biting his neck, which was in his human form. The child was looking at her with his eyes wide open.

“Whoa Lilly you little violent wolf,” she said laughing.

“Pleasure is mine,” said Lilly. The child was still looking at her. She turned to her human.

“Hey, little one, you all right?” She asked him. He nodded. He got up.

“Hey I am Max,” he said.

“I am Althea!” She smiled.

“Whoa nice name and your eyes are beautiful too,” he said smiling innocently.

“Well many people don’t say that,” she said.

“Well, I say that,” he said stubbornly. She laughs.

“You remind me of my brother,” she said sadly.

“Your brother, where is he?” He asked.

“Well so many questions, now tell me where you live?” She asked him.

“Well I live in my pack and I am the prince of the North Pole pack,” he said proudly.

“North pole pack? I have heard about it from my father, he said it is the second most powerful pack after white wolves, `` she said.

“You want to come with me as I am seeing you are living alone here,” he said.

“Hey, you were watching me?” She asked.

“Yeah, that’s when I got attacked,” he shrugged.

“Now tell me what you were doing alone in the woods?” She asked.

“Just curious,” he said apathetically.

“Now you remind me of me,” she said.

“Well I want you to come with me,” he said, “I can’t, rogues are not allowed in the pack,” she said softly.

“No way it’s not true we welcome rogues, seems like you never heard correctly from your father, we took rogues in,” he said and walked away.

“Now come on, follow me,” he said aloud. She smiled and walked behind him.
