Chapter No 16 Canis Lupus

“Wait, what is she?” asked Tyler, confused.

Jacob has a face palmed in disappointment. Ellis has the same expressions as Tyler.

“Don’t tell me you have not gone through the werewolf’s history?” Jacob said while looking inside their eyes.

They both had blank expressions on their faces.

“Oh come on Tyler, at least you should know, you are the damn Alpha, and you Ellis, you are going to become one in a few months,” he said in disappointment.

“Daddy was telling me something about the history but I had ditched the topic because I had a party, he gave me books once but you know...” he said while rolling his eyes when Jacob cut him in the middle.

“Yeah, we know you think it’s all boring, now your mate is the descendent of one of the sacred history,” he said angrily.

“What?” Said both Ellis and Tyler in one voice.

“What do you know? tell me” said Tyler in a rush.

“I need a promise from you guys, if the situation was not like this, I would have not told this to anyone, I am telling this to you because you are her mate and we can trust Ellis, can’t we?” He said the last sentence while looking at Ellis who nodded.

“Tyler you remember when we had our first day at school, we saw that she was odd because of her eyes?” He asked.

His expression changed. He smiled a bit, which the boys did not notice.

“Her eyes were not like that when she was found by Uncle Jack and Aunt Ruby,” he said while staring at the wall.

“Did you mean her eyes changed? ” asked Ellis.

“Yeah,” He said shortly.

“I, Uncle Jack, Aunt Ruby, and my parents know that from the beginning, we kept it a secret because we do not want to put her in danger,” he said sadly.

“But how is she in danger, I mean just because of her eyes?” Asked Tyler.

“No because of her type,” Jacob said in a whisper.

“What is Canis Lupus?” Asked Tyler.

“I think I should take you to the library, I don’t know everything about the legend but all I know is her wolf is not our kind, it is different from any other wolf, even though she is stronger than us, who are the direct descendants of the moon goddess,” he said.

“No brother, They fooled you,” said Ellis teasing Tyler.

Northpole Pack

She was sitting on the bed when the door opened with a click. She turned to look. A girl who had fawn hair came in, with a bag in her hand. She was smiling. She had facial features like Mateo. “She might be his sister,” she thought.

“My brother brought you here last night, as it was late night so we were unable to meet, my name is Wanda, and I am the youngest sister of Alpha,” she said smiling.

“My name is Althea,” she said while shaking hands.

“Whoa, you are too cold, take a warm bath I have brought a few clothes for you, get fresh, I think you have not eaten anything, get fresh I am waiting here, then I will take you down,” she said worried. Althea hesitantly got up and went to the nearby bathroom.

It was a huge kitchen, where Wanda had brought her. All of the dishes were settled on the mantle shelf. There was a dining table nearby with a lot of chairs. There was a window next to the sink. She walked towards the window and looked out. It opens to the royal garden. It was the biggest garden she had ever seen. She turned back.

A boy in his 7 to 8 years was eating eggs and beacons, his face was in the opposite direction so Althea was unable to see him.

“Good morning Max, how is my little Nephew?” said Wanda happily.

“Very bad mom had grounded me. I told her I was not lying. I was under attack and the girl named Althea saved me,” he said without turning, making Wanda and Althea startled. He got up and turned, facing her.

“Althea,” he said, surprised.

“Whoa Mom Dad, come here I was not lying,” he screamed. Althea was feeling embarrassed now. A tall woman came running with a blond man.

“Whoa Grace, what are you doing? You should not run like that because it’s your early pregnancy,” said a blond man, while holding her.

“What happened honey why are you screaming?” Said the blonde man.

“Daddy, look, She is real ″ he said while pointing at Althea who was feeling awkward.

“Who is she?” He asked.

“Relax brother, she was rescued by Mateo last night,” Wanda said calmly.

“And she saved me the other day,” Max said. “But” he was trying to say something. When Grace abrupts him in the middle, “Honey, she saved our son, at least we should say thank you,” she said smiling.

She walked ahead. “Thank you so much for the other day. I am Grace, Luna of Northpole pack and he is my mate and husband Alpha Julius,” she said. Althea bowed to her.

“No dear, no need for this, you saved our son, we are in your debt from now, you are like a sister to us,” said Julius smiling. She smiled in return.

“From your courtesy, we think you are from some royal pack,” he said.

“Ammm I think we should leave you girls to make her comfortable, Mateo I want you to go on patrol. I have heard a few rogues had attacked last night,” said Julius, and they both left.

“Come over here, sit,” said Grace, and they took her to the nearby chair.

“It will happen to you in ten days to 20 days,” said Wanda.

Max was eating his Beacons again. “It’s so sharp and painful,” she said with tears in her eyes.

“I don’t think it’s because of the heat only,” said Wanda.

“Where is your mate?” Asked Grace in a whisper-like voice. Althea did not answer.

“Did he?” Said Wanda. “No he is alive,” she said with tears in her eyes.

“It’s okay honey we are here, I know you are going through a lot, feel free to let it all out,” said Wanda.

“He threatened me on the day when he found out I am his mate, that he will reject me,” she said, there was a lot in her voice.

Both Wanda and Grace gasped. “He did that?” Asked Wanda angrily. She nodded.

“But why?” Asked Grace.

“Only if I tell you, you won’t judge me and it would be a secret between us,” she said while looking into Grace’s eyes. She nodded.

Riverstone Pack

“Is this the royal library? it’s so huge,” said Ellis.

“Trust me it would be the last place where I want to come,” said Tyler. Jacob rolled his eyes.

“This behavior of yours will make your freaking Alpha ass burn,” he said, annoyed. Tyler crossed his arms around his chest and gave him a sigh.

“Sometimes I wonder if you are talking to Alpha or what?” He asked.

“To my freaking cousin,” said Jacob, exhausted.

“Guys look,” said Ellis while pointing at the history section.

“Here we can find the stuff,” said Jacob. Tyler ran towards the section in a rush. But there were so many books, his head was spinning around while looking at them.

Both Ellis and Jacob had put their hands on his shoulder.

“We can help,” said Jacob.

“Yeah we had good grades,” said Ellis. Tyler gives him a dead stare.

After searching for hours, they finally found the book they needed. Its title was Canis Lupis the real Chaos.

Many Centuries ago

The grounds were full of snow and everything was white. She was running as fast as she could. Trying to avoid the arrows.

“I have to be safe, they will kill me for sure” the thoughts were screaming inside her head. She ran as fast as she could. She saw a cave nearby.

“What if there is a bear inside it?” She thought fearfully. She turned to look. The men were still following her. She got inside the cave losing them. It was all dark. After running for hours, her body was warm but now it started turning cold slowly.

“They killed my father, now they want me to get killed only for the throne?” She said in a whisper-like voice.

It was too eerie inside. She was sitting there for hours. It was almost midnight. She was the last remaining crown princess of the kingdom. But her kingdom was destroyed, her family was killed and now she was here helplessly.

Then she heard a sound nearby. Startled, she looked around but no one was there.

“Hello,” She said, her own voice was echoing in the cave. Something was moving in the dark.

A thing came and walked closer and much to her horror, it was a huge wolf that was walking towards her. It was clenching its teeth, giving a chill to her spine. She moved backward with terror in her eyes. She was almost outside of the cave when moonlight touched her face making her features clear. The wolf stopped by. It stopped growling. He sits beside the wall giving her a signal that he is not a threat. She came inside slowly and fearfully she sat beside him. She was feeling so much colder and the snowstorm did not end.

She tried to warm her arms by rubbing her hands over her arms. The wolf got up, she was so scared that she moved a bit, but he walked towards her and sat beside her, rubbing his fur with her body. She felt warmer. After a while, she slept.

When she woke up, she looked around the cave, a wolf was outside of the cave, and she saw in the corner, a bunch of raw fish were there. She smiled.

The wolf brought her fish to eat. She lit the fire by rubbing two stones and cooked the fish over it. The wolf came inside. She offered him to fish. He ate them quietly. She felt a strange bond with the wolf. She started living there on her own without any fear due to that wolf.

The wolf started feeling a close bond with her. He secretly wished to live with her forever. But he knew he was a wolf and she was human, she will leave soon. He secretly cries to the moon. One day she had gone sick much to his horror. He was feeling so worried.

He did not know how he could help her, how can he comfort her? She was so sick that she fell unconscious. The wolf howled to the moon so loud that the whole environment was shaken by its howl. Just then a moonlight from the skies came over him. He was covered in light and after a while he became human. A tall handsome human who had purple eyes. He looked upon his hands and the body, he was like a newborn child he did not know how to control his new body. He walked slowly to the girl and lifted her up in his arms, He started treating and comforting her until she got better. When getting her consciousness back she was startled by looking at him at first. “Who are you?” She asked him, afraid. He was unable to speak since he had never learned that, he was not born human.

By sign language, he tried to make her understand who he is.

A bit she understood, but she did not know he was the wolf.

After a few months, she got used to him. She misses the wolf so much. One night the wolf turned again into his wolf in front of her; that was his first cycle. Looking at him she ran towards the wolf and hugged him.

“Oh you are back I missed you so much I thought I lost you,” she said. She turned to look for the mute man “Hello, come out look my wolf is back” she said but the wolf wines.

She looked at him. He turned back into his human. “You? You were the wolf and the human?” She asked, scared.

“I was a wolf but when you have gone sick I asked the moon goddess to help to cure you. She turned me into a human” The first cycle has developed his speaking skills. She ran towards him and hugged him. They were first mated wolves. He unexpectedly turned her into a werewolf when he marked her. Together they had a beautiful baby boy. Thus the werewolf race began. Canis lupus was a direct descendant of the very first werewolf.

Moon goddess and her mate had a child, thus the other races of the werewolf were created.

Present time

“You are Canis lupus?” Grace asked. She nodded,

“Wait, you know what she is talking about?” Asked Wanda.

“Yeah I know when I found your brother, and he became Alpha he told me about the legend, technically Althea is the direct descendant of the very first werewolf, she is the strongest,” she said.

“So that’s why he rejected you, if mates are like that then I don’t want one,” Wanda said disappointed, and left the room. Althea sobbed.
