I looked at Kane he was almost asleep at the table waiting for dinner, he looked peaceful when he was asleep. He almost seemed at home here, it was strange.

"Dinner boys, " Luanne said pretty loudly but my mate was still asleep, he must be tired of being an alpha and all, I wanted to touch him all of a sudden. I put my hands in his running my hands all through his hair, I got close so I could whisper in his ear to tell him dinners ready "Dinners ready, please eat then you can go to bed "

His head lifted off the table and it took him a moment to fully wake up before he was pulling me into his lap, I didn't move even a touch, this was so weird.

"Hello Mate,” He whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine. "Come to get your dinner guys!" my father said in his alpha tone making me move and Kane listens out of respect, we went and get our honey garlic noodles and steak, Sitting down at the table I pushed my hair out-of-the-way and I heard everyone around the table gasped. Forgetting that I had a bruise on my head from my mother. I looked at Kane whose eyes looked like black holes they were so dark.

"Who the hell did that to you?"

I shoved another bite of the noodles in my mouth, I really didn't want to talk about how my mother had done this to me well she was drinking. This wasn't the only bruise I had thought. I could feel his eyes boring into my soul. Swallowing the food as slowly as possible I finally spoke.

"My mother did this."

"Why? How could she do that to her own child?"

"Easy, she was always drinking and threw plates at me."

It felt like a rock had taken place of the food in my stomach and I found I no longer had an appetite for anything. My brain pulled that night right back into the present. I was quickly pulled out of that hell when Luanne spoke.

"Quinn let me show you and Kane to the guest rooms

"We will share a room, if that alright with you both," Kane said, his voice holding such power.

Luanne just smiled as she showed us to the room upstairs.

"Bathrooms over here, and the closest is over there"

Luanne left closing the door behind her and Kane took my hand in his. "Please tell me about your mother and how I can help you. I feel such sadness from you. It's painful.”

"I don't want to talk about it now."

"Alright, I'm here if you need to though.”

Pulling back the covers on the bed I got in and just wanted to sleep, that didn't happen however because once Kane got into the bed I felt something strange pushing at the back of my mind and a voice spoke. Let me take over...

Who are you?

Watching what was going on through my own eyes was like the worst movie I had ever had the pleasure of watching. I could see myself doing such dirty things with this male and not once didn't I stop myself. I was sure I could but did I want to? My wolf had said they would take care of us? When did that involve having sex with a stranger? Finally not being able to watch any longer I allowed myself to slip into the depths of my mind. Surely this was something I would never speak of, I had allowed this. Sort of.
