I open my mouth to explain that I wasn’t questioning her but that I didn’t want her to feel forced to help me. That Alex and Mitch are my kids not hers.

Shadow growls at me, “They are as much as hers as they are ours. You damn dumb ass you except her to trust you but you don’t trust her enough to know that she’s not leaving.”

I follow Onyx’s quiet angry footsteps and focus on the boys instead of what Shadow said.

I’ll handle one thing at time and right now the boys are my main priority.

Onyx pauses at the last set of bushes before the pack sees us. She nods at me when I crouch beside her. I nod back to her sending her to the left and up a tree to find where the boys are exactly.

A slight change in the air brought a tiny smell of death and decay with it.

I look past the area that Onyx climb and found a pair of floating purple eyes staring back at me. Soon his black and white hair comes into view and then his pale angular face. He’s wearing a clean dress pants and a white dress shirt that he didn’t bother to button.

I see his head tilts and realize that he is covered in a misty cloud. He looks shocked but then smiles and chuckles a little, “Well it looks like what Selene said is true.”

I glare at that name and growl at him, “What did she say, Amos?”

Amos looks shocked that I knew his name but soon uses his speed to be by my side and gets rid of the mist around him making the others finally notice or see him.

“She told me that I am to be in your pack and that you and your mate would be the only ones that can do somethings that others can’t. One of them is that you will be able to see through the mist that conceals a vampire’s presence and scent from others. She also said that you will not lose any more dear family or friends so long as things go the way it’s supposed to.”

I scuff at him and wish I could beat that bitch of a moon goddess.

I turn to Zack and Nathan’s shocked faces, “When we find the boys the both of you will take them to the vampire coven, understood?”

Simultaneously, they said “Yes Alpha.”

Onyx jumps down from the tree in front of me, “Alex is tied up on the ground about 30 feet from us with a broken black man near him. The man looks like a runaway slave and he seems to be trying to protect Alex from seeing the way Micky is being treated.”

I shake my head slowly and the fury I feel keeps building, “It wont matter if he cant see Micky in pain because he can still feel the pain and if he shift into his wolf he will be able to take Micky’s pain into himself. Where’s Micky?”

“in the middle of the camp about 50 feet away and it doesn’t look good”

I looked at Amos, Zack, and Nathan, “There’s a slight change of plans, Zack and Nathan, I want you to go to Alex and the slave. Amos, I want you to get Micky when this flee of a pack are distracted kill who you have to, just make sure that he doesn’t die in your care, or you will die with him. The same goes for the two of you. Understood?”

Nat and Zack nods, “Yes Alpha”

Amos smirks and with a slight laugh, “Yes Elder, I understand.”

I waved my hand, and they went to find the closest way to grab the kids and run to the vampire base.

I see Onyx staring at Sonja in her all-black outfit and I raise a eyebrow, “Sonja?”

She shrugged her shoulders, “I already told Knox a while ago that I was going to leave just didn’t know when”

“Very well”

I looked eyes with Onyx, “You sure you ready for this?”

She glares at me before standing up and walking through the bushes towards the pack.

I walk through the same bushes and tell Sonja over my shoulder, “Stay with Onyx at all times understand?”

“Yes Alpha”

I hear the maggot’s laughter and cheers causing the fury inside of me to burst and everything turns red.

“The rest of you is to surround the pack and give no way for anyone to escape. Everyone will die man, woman and child, there will be no survivors.”

The three vampire that came with Amos nodded and the last two wolves that came with the others whispered their acknowledgement to my commands before they all separate and do as I say.

Onyx is standing out in the open with her fist balled up and on her hips. She looks back at me with fury in her eyes and a sadistic smirk on her face, “Everything ready now?”

I nod and watch in aww as a twisted smile showed on Onyx’s face, “Then let’s get started”
