Everyone is laughing at us for being so naïve. A love like ours only existed in books that catered over emotional themes, where hormones were scientifically justified to fuel our sick fantasies. They all told me to think with my head and not with that thing in my chest. I was stupid to have been with you. They said I needed help.

I don’t.

We have gotten this far without letting them get to us, and we’ll make it—I know we will—if we try again, but I can’t do this without you—not if you won’t hold my hand anymore. It won’t be easy, but we’ll get through it.

However, I can’t always suck it up with rainbows and unicorns, if you won’t let me in. I can’t always be the one forgiving you. You have to learn that for yourself.

Don’t shut me out. Don’t punish yourself for the things you could’ve done.

That’s why I’m here…to make it all better. I hope you won’t forget the latter.
