Chapter 508 Hasn’t Moved on at All

Eira held Caroline and told Kenny, “Let’s take Carol upstairs to rest.”

Kenny stepped aside and watched as Eira assisted Caroline up the stairs. He stood there, lost in

for a long while before finally calling Paige.

Kenny sat down at the dining table while Paige answered his call.

Paige sounded groggy. “What’s up?”

“Paige, G is upset because of Evan again,” Kenny said, stirring his pasta but too distracted to eat.

Paige asked, “My boss? Why now?”

Kenny replied, “I’m not sure. She ment oned earlier that their relationship is over for good.”

Paige sighed. “Carol hasn’t moved on at all.”

Kenny asked, “What do you mean?”

Paige explained, “I don’t know the details, but it’s like losing a family member when someone who’s

been

in her heart for eight years suddenly disappears from her life.”

“Evan is gone? Why didn’t I hear about this?’ Kenny exclaimed in a state of panic.

Paige scolded him, “You’re clueless!”

Kenny retorted, “You said it first!

Paige was frustrated. “What I mean is that they must have had a conversation earlier that made Carol

believe their relationship was truly over!”

Kenny questioned, “How does that relate to losing a family member?”

“I don’t want to explain to you anymore!” Paige snapped.

Kenny tried to understand. “Can’t you elaborate a bit more?”

Paige replied, “I’m spending time with my boyfriend right now. I don’t have time to explain.”

Paige hung up, leaving Kenny even more bewildered.

Alex was lying next to Paige, and he sat up with a serious expression. “I might know why.”

Paige asked, “Why?”

Alex suggested, “It might be because of Daniella.”

Surprised, Paige said, “Daniella again? I’m curious why both of you are involved with her.”

Alex looked at Paige and said, “Do you

really want to know?”

Paige nodded hesitantly.

Alex frowned, wondering about Paige’s unusual reaction and the relationship between Caroline and

Neil.

The next morning.

Daniella drove to the hospital before sunrise.

She wouldn’t have woken up so early to visit Axel if Grayson hadn’t been keeping an eye on her.

She was exhausted from her act. She sat drowsily in the car until 6:00 am. before entering the inpatient

When she arrived at Axel’s room and opened the door, she was met with his ghostly pale face.
