Chapter 12 Yves Probably Had Some Abilities
Yves’s voice wasn’t particularly loud, and he spoke at a measured pace. His words reached Matthew’s ears distinctly.
Matthew was stunned momentarily, then he spoke again, “I’m Matthew from the Lewis family, Zoey’s father.”
“So what?” Yves asked, “What does that have to do with me?”
Matthew was stunned again.
Matthew was an influential figure and also the current chairman of the Lewis Group in Haven City.
While their family’s wealth might be slightly less than that of Haven City’s wealthiest, they were still among the top few in Haven City’s elite circles.
No one in Haven City dared to talk to him like this, especially when the person talking to him like this was a country bumpkin!

“Who are they?” Ashley looked at Yves curiously and asked.
“They’re from the Lewis family in Haven City,” Yves smiled.
“The Lewis family in Haven City?” Ashley asked in surprise, “Is that the incredibly rich Lewis family in Haven City?”
“Probably!” Yves asked, looking puzzled, “Do you know them?”
“We definitely do!” Ashley looked at Yves suspiciously and said, “I feel… you’re not as simple as you appear on the surface. You know a powerful and beautiful sister who made Patrick wary of you, and now you know people from the Lewis family…”

Meanwhile, as they chatted, a black Mercedes–Benz was speeding. Matthew wore a dark face and cursed while driving, “I don’t know what your grandpa was thinking, insisting on seeing Yves!

Matthew sneered and said, “He didn’t want to come over because he said he wasn’t familiar with
-us.”
Theodore was stunned momentarily, then smiled bitterly and said, “Well, he is right. We’ve broken off the engagement, and he must…”
“Dad!” Matthew said, “Don’t fall for his act. This guy dared to harass Kimberly, and today, he acted arrogant in front of me. I’m considering sending this video to the police to get him locked up for a few years. What he did constitutes sexual harassment, and a report will surely land him in jail!”
