Chapter 11 Are We Very Familiar With Each Other?
Inside the luxurious bathroom, Zoey stared blankly at her reflection in the mirror. She kept taking out tissues and wiping her face.
The tissue in her hand was stained red.
She thought of what her grandfather had said. He had mentioned that she would get sick at twenty–eight.
Initially, she had thought it was a joke and dismissed it as her grandfather’s superstition, but now, there were only three days before her twenty–eighth birthday.
“How could this happen?” She murmured to herself.
She wanted to call for someone and was about to open the toilet door, but when she stepped. forward, she suddenly felt dizzy, and her entire body collapsed.
Yves had no idea about Zoey’s situation.
At this moment, he was sitting opposite Ashley’s father. Ashley’s father was named Daniel, an honest and responsible man. “Is it any of your business whether I’m blind or not?” Yves’s tone suddenly became calm.
“I’m Zoey’s father!” At this time, the middle–aged man in a suit said calmly, introducing himself, “My name is Matthew Lewis.”
Yves was slightly surprised.
When he first came to Haven City, he had visited the Lewis family once, but he was expelled
directly from the house during that time, and he hadn’t even met anyone from the Lewis family. After that visit, Yves had made several attempts to visit the Lewis family, but they had shown no willingness to meet him.
