Staci POV

"Mommy," I heard this sweet child's voice.

I was sitting in the grass, looking out at the vast landscape, when I heard water flowing nearby. I looked again and saw a small boy running toward me with wide arms open and a bright smile on his cute face.

"Mommy, look," the boy said as he landed in my lap as my eyes widened.

I looked at the tiny child and gasped; he looked just like Antonio with his greenish-blue eyes and jet-black hair, except it was curly and his light-tanned skin.

I looked down into his hands and noticed the hermit crab the little boy was holding; I wondered if this was a dream I was having as Antonio's sandalwood and citrus scent filled my senses, and I looked up as my handsome mate walked toward us.

"Hey, buddy. What did I say about being careful with Mommy and playing around her belly?" Antonio said to the small pup.

I gasped as I looked down again and noticed the tiny bump that was protruding out.

"Always be mindful of my sibling growing in Mommy's tummy," the little boy said, smiling at his Father.

I was about to say something when this annoying buzzing sound invaded my mind, and I rapidly blinked my eyes. I groaned as the sun peeked through my bedroom window, and I realized my alarm clock was making the annoying sound.

I quickly pressed the off button as the alarm stopped and rolled over in bed. Antonio's scent lingered on one of my pillows; Solaris yawned and purred from her slumber as she smelled our mate's scent.

"He smells heavenly," Solaris said as I giggled.

I heard the sink in my bathroom as the door was cracked open, and I realized Antonio was in there. I quickly left bed and peeked inside to see my mate brushing his teeth.

"Good morning, my love," Antonio said after he spit toothpaste into the sink and smiled at me through the mirror.

"Good morning," I squeaked out as Antonio chuckled lightly.

Antonio wasn't wearing a shirt, so I could see his muscular body clearly and admire his various tattoos. On his left arm, Antonio had a moon goddess tattoo, with a blue moon above the goddess that looked amazing. On his back, a solid black wolf stood on a cliff top and howled at the moon.

On his right arm was a gorgeous masterpiece of what looked like an army of black wolves running along the length of his arm; I looked through the mirror and gasped as I saw another tattoo of a solid black wolf that seemed to be sitting on his hunches waiting for something. All of Antonio's tattoos were beautiful works of art.

"Like what you see, my love," Antonio said as I looked at him through the mirror and saw his smirk.

"I love your tattoos," I tell Antonio as he walks toward me.

Solaris was purring in my head as our mate's scent invaded my nostrils, making me moan and clench my legs together. Solaris was pacing and running circles inside my head as Antonio chuckled and walked over to his bag to get dressed.

I rolled my eyes and quickly entered the bathroom to prepare for the day; I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Once I was done, I hopped in the shower and quickly washed up.

When I was done with my shower and towel drying, I walked into my bedroom as Antonio laced up his black dress shoes. When he stood to his full height, I noticed he was in a well-tailored royal blue suit with a crisp white button-up shirt.

"If you keep staring at me, my love, I will take you right here and now," Antonio said, making me blush and quickly dash for my walk-in closet.

I heard his laugh as I huffed, and Solaris was purring inside my head, telling me that our mate would have us in due time. I put on some blue jean leggings, a cute white blouse, and some white ankle boots; I quickly put my long, curly hair into a high ponytail.

I exited my closet as Antonio stood by my bedroom door, waiting for me. I smiled at him, and he smiled back and opened the door for me.

"Luna first," he said, making me blush crimson as we headed down the stairs and to the dining room.

When we arrived in the dining room, everyone stopped the chatter and looked at us. I saw my parents sitting at the head, Beta Jarrod and his mate sitting to the right, and Seth sitting on the other side of our Mother.

"Good morning," Antonio said to everyone as we sat at the table.

Once Antonio and I were seated, the kitchen Omegas served us breakfast: eggs, bacon, a cheese omelet, pancakes, fresh-cut fruits, grits, oatmeal, and blueberry muffins.

"This looks amazing," Antonio said and started digging in.

I heard the door open as Monica and Beta Carter joined us for breakfast. Monica's smirk was evident as she looked and winked at me.

Now that I can see Carter more clearly and not in my sleepy state, he was handsome. Carter was Seth's height at 6'5 with short, curly, light brown hair, and the sides were faded. He had gold-colored eyes that reminded you of the sun, and like Antonio, his skin was light-tanned and sporting a few tattoos.

Carter

"Babes, spill the beans later. I want all the juicy details," Monica linked me as I choked on my orange juice.

"You first. You naughty little vixen," I linked her back as she smiled.

Breakfast was eerily quiet this morning as one person I noticed wasn't at the table, and that person was Grayson. I looked over at my Dad and saw he was deeply in his thoughts as he nursed the coffee cup in his hand and rubbed his stubbly chin.

"Are you okay, Daddy?" I linked my Father as his deep green eyes stared into mine.

Alpha Brady POV

"Oh yes, baby girl, the old man is fine; I just can't believe how grown up you are now," I linked my daughter as she sat beside her mate.

Staci reminded me of her Mother, not just with her looks but also her strong-willed spirit and how she cares for everyone like a faithful Luna.

It hit me that my princess was a grown woman now with a mate. I know she will be leaving us soon. Still, I'm just not ready to let her go, but as a Father who loves his daughter, I know she will be happy.

Well-taken care in her new pack, I notice everyone is present for breakfast except Grayson. I mentally rolled my eyes and let out a slight growl; this pup was testing my patience as a pack; everyone should be present for breakfast; his ass just better show up for this morning's meeting; otherwise, Jarrod and I were going to have a problem.

Antonio POV

After finishing my breakfast, I leaned over to kiss Staci, telling her that I had an important meeting with her Father and that the challenge was later in the day.

She seemed saddened by the news but kept her composure, so I told her I would see her later as me and my Beta followed Alpha Brady out to his office to discuss business; as I was walking with Alpha Brady and Carter, I noticed a lot of unmated females eye fucking my Beta and me sighing I was so ready to go back to Blue Eclipse and mark Staci, I was tired of women throwing themselves at me it was ridiculous.

I looked at my Beta, noticed his new mate mark on his neck, and congratulated him. I saw he and his mate wasted no time completing the mating bond. I was happy for him, but simultaneously, I was jealous. Soon enough, Staci will bear my mark, I thought as we walked on.

We made our way into Alpha Brady's office, where I saw his son and his Beta seated; one person I didn't see was the young Beta, Grayson.

"Hmm?" I think and shrug it off.

Carter and I sat before Alpha Brady's desk as we proceeded with our meeting. I cut to the chase about why I called for an official meeting.

"I want to update the alliance with the Crescent Moon pack and become sister packs, Alpha Brady," I said as everyone in the room looked at me.

We were already officially bonded, considering Staci is the future Luna to Blue Eclipse pack. This alliance update will solidify the deal with our packs.

I handed the paperwork to Alpha Brady so he could review the details to ensure everything was in tip-top shape. I knew everything was, but as an Alpha, he had to see things through as well; I watched and waited patiently as he skimmed through each page.

I saw him pick up a pen and sign his name on the part where Crescent Moon's signature was stated.

"Would you mind if I made a copy and sent it to our pack's lawyer for filing?" Alpha Brady asked.

I told him to go ahead and proceed after all the signing was done. We each shook hands as I left the office. I told Carter to meet me outside in thirty minutes as I wanted to get some training done before the challenge. I saw him mock salute.

"Yes, Sir!" I just rolled my eyes at him.

Later That Day: The Challenge (Still Antonio's POV)

After I returned to Staci's room to change into my workout shorts, I noticed Staci wasn't there. I figured she was probably with her friend Monica, trying to take her mind off the challenge. As I left the bedroom, I went outside to the training field and saw that Carter was waiting for me.

"Hey, Alpha, are you ready to get started?" Carter asked.

"Why are you being so formal, jackass?" I asked as Carter looked at me seriously.

"Just reminding you of who you are and what you're fighting for," Carter says.

I rolled my eyes at him. I proceeded with my warm-ups, doing pushups and stretching my body to loosen up my muscles. Cater was right beside me, keeping up the pace.

After we finished our warm-up workout, Carter and I sparred for about forty minutes until we saw Alpha Brady, his son, his Beta, and Grayson walk over to the training field as I proceeded to meet them halfway with Carter.

Grayson looked like shit, and he smelled heavily of alcohol as Ares nearly gagged inside my head.

"Are you certain he's okay for this challenge?" I asked, looking at the young Beta as he sneered and growled.

"Grayson is ready," Alpha Brady said, side-eyeing the young Beta as he lowered his head and sighed.

Grayson and I walked to the circle in the middle of the training field, where Alpha Brady joined us in the center, and the others stepped off.

Alpha Brady POV

"Ok, gentlemen, the rules are as follows; the challenge is simple: the circle has been blessed. No outside mind linking is allowed."

"Two shifts are allowed if you choose to do so."

"Three, there will be no use of any weapons."

"Four, the fight will last as long as it lasts, and no outside party can interfere."

"Five, you must remain within the fighting circle."

"Six, if you cannot continue to fight at any point, you either concede your opponent or face death."

"Seven, once the fight ends, the loser must immediately renounce any claim to Staci Blackwind. With that being said, I wish you the best of luck. Now, you both may step back to the circle's edge so we can begin."

"Alpha Antonio, Grayson...fight!"

Carter POV

As soon as Alpha Brady announced the beginning of the fight, I watched as my Alpha and Grayson started to circle each other. It was clear Antonio was maybe two or three inches taller than Grayson, but he made up for it in the few bits of muscles he had on him.

So, I could see a worthy fight, or maybe? Still circling each other, they were trained to watch their opponent's tactics. One thing Antonio did after he took over as Alpha was send Gamma Juliano and me to different countries so we could learn different fighting styles.

We both learned Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai; this is done so we can confuse our enemies in battle. I saw Grayson throw the first punch and hit Antonio in the abdomen. I saw him bend over a bit winded, but he just shook it off and realized Grayson was a bit strong.

Antonio answered back with a solid right hook to Grayson's face; we all heard the sickening crunch and realized Antonio had just broken Grayson's nose. Grayson shook off the hit and proceeded to flip over Antonio, grip him in a headlock, and punch his ribs twice.

Antonio flipped Grayson on his back and kicked him hard in the ribs as blood spurted from Grayson's mouth. Grayson quickly rolled to the side and got back on his feet; he started throwing punch after punch, which Antonio dodged.

I saw Grayson beginning to slow down and become winded. Antonio quickly threw another right hook, which Grayson dodged. He answered back with a left hook to Antonio's jaw, and blood spurted from his mouth.

My eyes widened as I knew that punch was going to cost Grayson. I watched as he stepped back and began to spin in the air. I knew he was preparing to hit Antonio with a roundhouse kick, hoping to gain the upper hand in this fight. Antonio saw the move as he grabbed Grayson's ankle, spun him in the air, and flipped him on his back hard. I heard the crack, and I knew a few of his ribs were broken.

He was done after that, and I knew it. I watched as Antonio straddled a near-unconscious Grayson and began throwing punch after punch to his face and body. Grayson tried to block his blows, but all his energy had diminished.

Everybody around the circle was growing agitated. We all knew this fight was over but didn't know how it would end.

Antonio POV

I beat this pup into a bloody mess. He was in and out of consciousness as I rained punch after punch on him.

"Do you give up yet? CONCEDE!!!" I growled in his face.

I heard Alpha Brady's son Seth yelling at his friend to give up. I saw the light fade from his eyes as I was still delivering blow after blow when he finally raised his one weak hand, conceding the fight; I rolled off his weak and broken body as he blacked out.

I lay there on the ground, panting and gasping for air as my Beta ran over, congratulating me.

"Just help me get up, asshole!" I roared at Carter as he smirked.

I picked up my bruised body with Carter's help; as everyone came over, I saw Alpha Brady come over to shake my hand.

"Congratulations, Alpha Antonio, that was one hell of a fight as a Father and an Alpha. I'm proud to say that my daughter is in good hands," Alpha Brady said, shaking my hand.

Next, I saw Beta Jarrod come forward.

"Thank you for sparing, my son Alpha. I hope you knocked some sense into his ass," Beta Jarrod said as I chuckled and groaned.

I shook his hand and nodded as he walked over to help collect his son.

"Alright, Carter. Take to my mate so I can hurry up and get back home to claim her," I said as Carter mocked and saluted.

"Yes, Sir!" I rolled my eyes as he helped me return to the packhouse where my mate awaited.
