Staci POV

I was sad. I understood as an Alpha, Antonio had to accept the challenge, but that didn't mean I liked it; I didn't want him or Grayson getting hurt or, worse, killing each other.

"Staci?" Antonio called my name, and I turned away from my Mother's shoulder.

"We are heading inside, princess," my parents said as my brother hugged me, making Antonio growl.

"We will go find Grayson," Beta Jarrod said as he and his mate Samantha headed toward the forest with their younger son Cole.

"We should head inside, too," Antonio said.

"Let our staff get your bags settled in," my Father said.

"It's just his wolf babe. He loves our scent," Solaris reminded me.

Antonio POV

"Ares, what the fuck are you doing?" I yelled at my wolf as he practically pounced on our mate.

"Claiming what's mine," Ares growled.

"NO! Relax you fucking horn dog. Staci isn't ready for that yet," I say as Ares huffs and gives me back control.

"Antonio?" I heard Staci's melody voice as I blinked my eyes and sniffed her arousal floating around the room.

"I'm sorry; my wolf has no self-control," I said to Staci as she smiled.

"It's okay. I wasn't scared," Staci said.

I pulled my PJs and bath items out of my bag as I waited for Staci to finish; a few minutes later, I heard the shower turn off, and the door opened to reveal my mate wrapped in a towel and drying her hair.

Staci smiled at me and quickly ran inside the closet as I smirked and shook my head. I went inside the bathroom as her scent hit me like a ton of bricks, and my cock was back at full attention.

"This is going to be hard," I say as Ares barks in agreement.
