I haven’t thought of anything new to say in days, and have no desire to retrace old ground. I don’t want to talk about Maya or the others. I don’t want to describe the unfairness of it all.

We are both always aware we could be being monitored, recorded, though only one of us has something to hide, that much he has made as clear as he could.

My thoughts have slowed down, the lack of stimuli is dulling my mind. I’m no longer scared of death; some of me is now waiting for it. I’m barely eating or drinking, the toilet sits there largely unused.

Brian no longer taunts me, there is little left of me to taunt. Steve brings me my food instead. Brian’s toy is now broken, so he’s not interested in playing with it any more.

Viskra still tells me that everything is going to be okay, but not even he believes it.
