The waiters served the food soon after.

Stephanle wore gloves and skillfully peeled shrimp for Leonard. She leaned toward him with her chest pressed against his arm before placing the peeled shrimp before him.

“Leonard, I remember you loving this dish,” Stephanie said, her eyes full of affection as she looked at his handsome face, ” The shrimp here is delicious. I first had it when you brought me here and peeled the shrimp for me.”

Leonard glanced at the woman before him. Stephanie had makeup on her delicate face. He initially thought her actions were acceptable, but now, he felt an indescribable disgust. Of course, he enjoyed the shrimp here but lost his appetite because of her.

“That’s right, Leslie. The shrimp here is fragrant and delicious,” Lisa said from the seat beside them. She wore her gloves and happily ate without looking in their direction.

Leonard kept quiet. For some reason, a surge of frustration rose in his heart. He picked up his fork and ate the shrimp Stephanie had peeled.

Stephanie was overjoyed and peeled some more shrimp even more enthusiastically.

Lisa had planned to eat a few more. However, she saw only garnish left on the large tray as Stephanie had diligently peeled the rest of the shrimp and placed them on Leonard’s plate.

Seemingly aware of her gaze, Leonard picked up a shrimp from his plate. He revealed a sexy smile and told Lisa, “These shrimps are delectable. I can’t get enough of them.”

Lisa sneered inwardly.

‘Perhaps it’s not that the shrimp is delicious, but the person who peeled them.‘

“Ms. Stephanie, if I may, you can’t always spoil this man.” Lisa removed her gloves and continued, “Peeling shrimp is usually a task for men. Women usually sit and wait to eat.”

Stephanie smiled sweetly. “Lisa, you sound so experienced. With your beauty, I’m sure many guys are competing to peel shrimp for you.”

After speaking, she turned to Leonard and smiled. “It’s young girls like her who understand romance. It’s truly admirable.”

Leonard pursed his lips and remained silent. However, he gazed at Lisa as if looking at a promiscuous and unfaithful woman.

Lisa was amazed. She had genuinely intended to advise Stephanie, but the woman had turned the tables on her.

“Ms. Stephanie, you must be joking. Haven’t you heard the saying that even if you haven’t eaten pork, you’ve seen pigs run? Not to boast, but many men are pursuing me because of my looks.

“Still, I only want to focus on my career. Men only hinder my ability to make money.” Lisa smiled as if it was delightful.

Everyone at the table almost choked on their food. They had never seen a woman who could be so straightforward. Lucas was the first to suppress his laughter, saying, “Liz, you are truly interesting.” 

“I’m just speaking the truth.” Lisa shrugged. “It’s the same as wealthy families saying it’s all about matching backgrounds. It’s all about making money. The goal is to unite and make more money, right?”

‘Similarly, marrying a woman who doesn’t come from a similar background is like losing money.‘

A candid smile appeared on Lisa’s fair face. Her big eyes sparkled with clarity.

Leonard quietly turned his teacup and deepened his gaze slightly.

‘Sometimes, I can’t understand how a woman like Lisa can exist in this world. I can’t say she’s foolish since she sees through things better than anyone else. I can’t even say she’s intelligent because she’s not pleasing to be around whenever she becomes ruthless.‘

Stephanie glanced at Leonard and felt her heart sink. She had never seen him gaze at a woman like that before. She could not
