“Lia Cortez, current personal assistant of Nathaniel Elrod, had done her fashion designing course two years ago, living with her best friend in an apartment located near the territory of Dusk claws pack. No other background was traced than this!” 

Denzer placed the file of Xylia’s background of these four years in front of Theodore who read every single detail of her life but that was futile. The main and useful information was not given which states it was deliberately covered by someone. 

“Elrods did a good job, shouldn’t I appreciate them for hiding my mate for all these years, Denzer?” Theodore smirked looking at Xylia’s photo, she had grown into a beautiful young lady. Theodore leaned back on his chair, interlinked his finger. Closing his eyes He thought what his little wife had been planning really. Did she think she could just roam around freely after turning his life upside down.

“Yes King. So are we going back tonight?” Denzer asked to which Theodore opened his eyes and gave him a look. 

“Do you think I would go back to my place without my mate?” Theodore chuckled darkly. “Buy the penthouse near the Elrod corporation building. Denzer. It’s time to score some old deals and make new ones. Lewis must be ecstatic.” Denzer looked at his friend’s gleamed eyes and cunning look. And he knew something was cooking in his twisted mind. 

Indeed Lewis might be ecstatic having the backing of the Lycan king. And Theodore Lockheed, well! After years, He was ready to play a new game. The interesting one! 

“So you are saying that someone tried to rob you in that basement? So you went into the restroom but came down through the elevator to get attacked. How on the earth….” Nathan snapped at her while controlling himself, sitting in his car. They had reached her place but she was still sitting like a statue in the passenger seat beside him. 

After that encounter Xylia didn’t say anything but her heartbeat rose and fell every time she thought about Theodore’s words. She knew He will not stay still and would do something. Because He believes in actions rather than words.

to mind. 

Nathan clenched his jaws. “You didn’t see his face? Did he harass you, did he misbehave you, Lia?” His gloomy face and eyes flashing white unsettled her as she shook her head. 

“No! You…came on time.” Xylia gulped her saliva. Nathan closed his eyes and sighed. He calmed his wolf and

towards her home. Hansley was gone to take Thunder’s reports and stepped out before they headed 

so Xylia was saved from her interrogation. 

“Doctor Volkov wanted to meet you, Lia. The reports have come but she denied giving it to me. She has something important to share with you. So we can go there tomorrow morning, what say?” Hansley informed her once she was back, taking Thunder from school. Xylia nodded, helping her in preparing dinner. 

Hansley looked at her void face and sighed. “Hey, Babe. Don’t worry, our pup will be perfectly fine. Doctor Volkov is experienced in her field, whom Nathan called from another pack in the city.”

“I hope, Hans. Thunder is just three. At this age, kids are supposed to be enjoying their carefree life. But look at him. He is way too extraordinary and Sometimes I wonder where his fate would take him.” Xylia sighed letting out her worry. 

“He is definitely extraordinary but not abnormal one. By the way this credit must go to your bastard Lover whose genes Thunder got. I am telling you He might be some powerful Alpha. But again, You wouldn’t know him as you’re a human.” 

Xylia stayed silent at this; indeed, Thunder got Lycan genes from his father. Remembering him brought the unsettling feeling in her heart. 

“Why am I talking about that dickhead? Bloody hell!” Hansley screeched before putting the pasta into the pot. 

“Anyways after dinner, gather all the reports of Thunder since his birth. We are departing at 8 in the morning after dropping Thunder at school. And After meeting the pack doctor I will drop you at the office.” She informed Xylia. 

Next morning Xylia was getting ready to go to the Duck Claw pack to see Thunder’s doctor. Her eyes fell on her naked shoulder where she saw a slight red mark which He licked to stop the blood and she remembered how that cunning Lycan exploited her. Xylia flared her nose, how easily He overpowered her. She turned her back to the mirror and saw the slightly red swollen area on her back. That bastard really harassed her. 

But it was less painful now. Xylia was thankful for healing quickly. But still she had made up her mind to ask the

pack doctor about her body changes and sharp senses after Thunder’s delivery. 

“You ready, lovelies?” Hansley shouted, putting on her leather black jacket. Her blonde curly hair bounced back as she walked out of her room. 

Thunder smirked and whistled looking at the sexy beauty. “You look hot–shot, baby girl!” 

Xglia raised her eyebrows at her little son. “Who taught you these words, Thunder?” She asked curtly. Thunder innocently looked at Hansley who walked out of the door, clearing her throat. 

“Follow me!” She shouted again. Xylia sighed. “Hansley Elrod, you are going to explain this.” 

“This woman is spilling my kid!” she muttered under her breath but both of them said in unison. 

“I’m not a kid, Mom.” 

“Oh please, He is not a kid practically.” Hansley rolled her eyes and Xylia glared at them. 

The ride to the Dusk claw pack was tense and silent as it was the second time Xylia was going there. First when Nathan introduced her to his family. 

Reaching there Xylia, Hansley and Thunder headed towards the Pack infirmary and walked into Dr Volkov’s cabin. The lady in her forties was reading the reports of Thunder when Hansley greeted her. 

“Good morning, Dr Volkov, I hope you are ready to tell us the good news today. Lia Cortez is here. Thunder’s mother.” Hansley turned to Xylia and introduced her to the doctor.. 

“Lia, she is Regina Volkov, The city’s best doctor and healer.” 

Regina smiled at her and Xylia blinked before her face turned ashen white seeing the familiar lady doctor. No! She couldn’t forget that lady. 

Dr Regina! Who saved her and her child four years ago.
