Justin asked, "Were you peeking again?"

Bella pursed her lips and held the coffee cup in her hands. "Yeah. I was worried you might be in trouble."

"Was I cool or what?" Justin put his hand on her head and tousled her hair.

Bella leaned closer for a kiss on his cheek. "You were so cool."

Justin hooked his arm around her waist, his breath brushing against the tip of her nose. "I couldn't have done it without you today. If you hadn't put the squeeze on the press as the representative of KS Group, doubt I could've stopped the media all across the city from attending the press conference. Gregory resents me for foiling his plans, but he can't stand the humiliation the most."

"Justin."

After much contemplation, Bella persuaded him. "Promise me that you will try not to get into it with your father once Shannon's case is over, okay?"

"Are you feeling bad for me?" Justin lifted her chin, his lips curling.

"I'm serious."

Justin said, "When Shannon gets what she deserves, I promise I won't go after Gregory so long as he doesn't bother you and your family."

Then his phone rang.

He took it out for a look, and a complex of emotions filled his eyes. "It's Grandpa, Bella. He wants to see us."

While on the way to Crescent Bay, the pair grew a little worried.

They knew that Nigel always had a soft spot for them.

However, the timing was a little suspicious. Maybe Nigel had found out that Justin ruined Gregory's press conference. For all they knew, Gregory would have spilled the beans to Nigel, and Nigel was having none of it.

Salvador Corporation was Nigel's life's work, after all. Surely, Nigel did not want to lose the success he had worked for his whole life.

With that in mind, Bella did something sly and gave Nigel a big bear hug upon arrival.

"Oh, I miss you, Grandpa Nigel!"

"Hahaha... I miss you too, my darling granddaughter." It had been a while since Nigel had a hearty laugh.

Justin raised a brow.

Technically, Bella should be Nigel's granddaughter-in-law.

In the past, Nigel treated Bella like a granddaughter to bring her closer to the family. Now that Justin and Bella are together, Nigel should refrain from addressing Bella as his granddaughter.

"Can I examine you later to make sure you're in tip-top shape, Grandpa Nigel? I can even cook some of your favorites later." Bella got down on one knee and asked with a smile.

"I'd love that, and Matt too." Nigel patted her head dotingly.

"No problem!"

Nigel shifted his gaze to Justin sternly.

Bella's heart raced. She flattered Nigel so that he would not reprimand Justin. However, Nigel still seemed pissed.

"I heard you crashed your old man's press conference."

"That's right, Grandpa." Justin faced Nigel without fear.

Nigel furrowed his brows and removed his left slipper to throw at his grandson.

Acting fast, Justin caught the slipper with a frown. "Use your words, Grandpa."
