Several feet away, Justin solemnly met Gregory's gaze.

The rows of black chairs were like a thorn bush that separated them.

As the tension rose, Paul and the hotel manager shuddered in fear and shock.

"Why are you here, Justin? What's going on?" Though Gregory had his suspicions, he wanted an answer from Justin.

"Isn't it obvious, Mr. Salvador?"

Justin stood in confrontation with Gregory in his elegant 4-piece suit, dominating Gregory, who had been a leading tycoon most of his life. With time, Justin would surpass Gregory in achievements and success. There was just something about Justin that Gregory did not have.

For once, Gregory was grateful that no one outside the family was there to witness that.

"I dispersed the press you invited. They would rather upset you than me." Justin curled his lips chillingly.

"Why did you do that?"

Outraged, Gregory could only hear buzzing in his ears. "Did the Thompson girl put you up for this? You are turning your back on your family because of her. She's just playing you." Justin pulled a long face, his eyes brewing with emotions. "Everything I do is of my own accord. This has nothing to do with Bella. I will not have you insult my future wife." Gregory's eyes widened in shock.

Paul and the hotel manager dared not breathe a word.

"Besides, I won't blame Bella if she plays me. I'll do anything just to get a smile on her face."

"You're mad. You lost it!" Gregory, a mogul, could only resort to tearing Justin apart with words.

"At least, I'm better than you. You want to cover up a crime." Justin retorted with a blank face.

Gregory pounded his chest and chided angrily, "I'm the chairman of Salvador Corporation. I made sure I made choices beneficial to the family and company. A selfish person who puts relationships above all else won't understand where I am coming from."

Justin's eyes reflected desolation and aloofness.

He would rather have never been born than see his mother love a heartless hypocrite.

"See you in court tomorrow at 9:00 a.m."

Not wasting another breath, Justin took strides past Gregory. "You and Hunter can give us your best shot, but there will only be one outcome. Shannon will pay for her crimes and receive the maximum sentence."

In the parking lot, Bella hacked into the hotel's surveillance and witnessed the standoff between the father and son.

She was relieved that Justin took her side without hesitation when Gregory shamed her, but the growing tension between the father and son would bring Justin a lot of trouble.

Although Nigel adored Justin, he was too advanced in age to run the household.

Justin might still hold the reins of the company now, but Grant's possible return and good health could spell new leadership in the family business.

Despite Justin's repeated assurances that he did not care, Bella still felt uneasy about the possibility of him losing his long-held position because of her.

Following the knock on the car window, Bella widened her eyes, shut her laptop, and looked over.

Justin stood outside with two cups of coffee, his gaze filled with love for her.

Bella opened the door for Justin to enter, and he handed a cup of coffee to her.
