Megan twitched her lips slightly, "I gave birth to a son, not a daughter!" Leaning back in her chair, Aurelia drawled, "There are only two reasons you're scared of a paternity test. First, you had a girl and you're trying to pull a switcheroo with a fake son. Or second, as the rumors say, you had a donor baby, which isn't Leopold's at all." Each word hit Megan like a dagger, sending shivers down her spine.

She swallowed hard, forcing herself to remain composed.

"My child is Leopold's, and I'm not dumb enough to bring a bastard into the world just to complicate my life." "Then why are you dragging your feet on the paternity test?" Aurelia pressed.

"I'm waiting for Leopold to get out of the hospital. Then we'll go do it together," Megan said, eyes locked on Aurelia, watching for any telltale flicker of emotion.

Aurelia seemed to wear an impassive mask, giving nothing away.

"I hear the minute Leopold gets out, he's filing for divorce. Paternity test might never happen." "You'd love that, wouldn't you? My child is not being acknowledged by the family. I bet you're plotting to snatch my baby and make him vanish into thin air." Aurelia realized she was being baited and accused of kidnapping Megan's child.

"If I had that kind of power, I would've crushed AK Group by now, instead of being outmaneuvered and losing my foothold to you." Megan snorted. If Aurelia had snatched her kid, she'd know the child by Megan's side was an imposter. Her talk of switching babies right now was a veiled insinuation.

"I'm warning you, if you lay a finger on my child, I'll flay your son alive." Leopold narrowed his eyes, with a deadly chill flashing through them, "Are you threatening my wife? Be careful, or you might be the one meeting the Grim Reaper." His voice was colder than a winter blast, freezing the air around them. His gaze was sharp as a blade, ready to cut down any foe.

Megan shivered.

"Don't try to scare me. I'm not easily bullied." Leopold looked down on Megan with disdain, as if she were a dying cockroach, "Let's see who dies first." Fear crept into Megan who worried that he might blow her head off. She quickly backed down, "As long as she doesn't touch my child, we can all live in peace." Aurelia chuckled coldly, "You're paranoid. Your child is safe at home. I haven't even seen him. How would I harm him?" Seeing Aurelia not taking the bait, Megan was furious and decided to be direct, "My child has been kidnapped, and I know you're behind it." Surprise flickered across Aurelia's face, but she quickly laughed it off, "Are you suffering from delusions now? If your child has been kidnapped, then who's the child at your house?" Megan wouldn't explain but just glared at her, "Tell me, did you kidnap my child?" Aurelia regarded her with a peculiar look, "You're not staging a kidnapping to frme and sling mud, are you?" "You know very well whether it's a frame-up," Megan hissed, "On the day I gave birth, you must have had someone tail me. They saw the nanny take my child out, and you took the opportunity to kidnap them." Aurelia burst into laughter, "You have quite the imagination. Why not beca screenwriter? If your child was kidnapped on the day of birth, then who's the child you brought to the Stirling family? Isn't her a fake arranged by AK Group, is it?"
