Nina stood with her hands on her hips, a look of exasperation in her eyes. "You are indeed a little goofball, aren't you?" Mira stuck out her tongue, making a goofy face. "I like being a goofball." With a swift smack to her forehead, Nina retorted, "Then you might as well change your nfrom Mira to Goofy." Nodding her head rapidly like a pecking chick, Mira agreed, "Okay, from now on, I'll be Goofy. It has a nice ring to it." William chuckled behind his hand. Was this what they called fighting fire with fire? "It's alright, Nina," he interrupted, "let Mira be her sweet simple self. We Stirling family have more than enough cash but need joy." "Yeah, happiness counts most," Skyler nodded and added.

Grinning ear to ear, Mira said, "Kane promised he'd take care ofwhen I grow up. He'll even increase my allowance from the family foundation. I am his favorite sister, after all." Nina shook her head, the image of exasperation personified. "Ah, I get it. You want to be a freeloader." Mira playfully stuck out her tongue. "Yep, I love being a freeloader." Nina pouted.

Mira was such a tease, always playing around with her.

Beverley arrived a bit later than the others.

Fredric gathered his brothers and led them to the card room for a round of bridge.

Meanwhile, Sheryl gathered Aurelia, Lisbeth, and Beverley to watch her latest film in the screening room.

It was a sci-fi thriller, and she was a guest performer. Produced by Luminous Vision Media in collaboration with Angel Studios, the lead actor was Avery.

Aurelia complimented, "Sheryl, you're indeed an award-winning actress. That box office draw is unbeatable. The movie broke half a billion on opening day." Sheryl smiled. "Are you praising me, or are you praising your brother Avery?" "Of course, I'm praising you, Sheryl. In a movie, both male and female actors are important. Your skillful acting is the cherry on top." Sheryl raised an eyebrow playfully. "You're not wrong. Despite his youth, Avery's got talent. He's one of the few young actors who can keep up withon screen." Beverley laughed. "I can't wait to see it. If you hadn't invited us to watch together, I'd have rushed to the theater." Lisbeth smiled softly. "Raines and I often watch movies together. He's not much for socializing. Other than necessary events, he prefers to stay hon weekends. We cook dinner and watch films, enjoying our little world." Her voice trailed off, a subtle melancholy spreading across her face as if something inside her had shattered.

Aurelia watched her closely, capturing every nuanced expression.

"Raines is one in a billion, a true rarity. There are eight billion people on earth, and finding someone who loves you is incredibly difficult. A devoted man is a treasure, and a devoted gentleman from a wealthy family is even rarer. If you find one, cherish and love him deeply." Beverley nodded in agreement, echoing, "Aurelia's right. Fand fortune are fleeting. Having someone who loves you is what matters most. You'll live with regret forever if you don't cherish it and end up hurting them." Lisbeth's lips quivered slightly as if the words had touched a nerve.

"You're right," she conceded. "Marrying Raines is the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me. He's a good person." At her words, Aurelia felt like she was just praising Raines perfunctorily.

But judging by her expression, Lisbeth wasn't entirely devoid of feelings for Raines.

Aside from smemory issues, Raines was pretty close to being perfect. He was handsand accomplished. It was hard not to be smitten.
