Belkan City had good security. 

Chapter 74 

By eight or nine in the evening, it was a bustling time. 

Victoria had the illusion of drifting away from the world as the pedestrians on the street came and went. 

She walked, not noticing the shadow of a ghost behind her, and stopped. 

Not so far from there. 

A low–key black Brabus was parked on the street. 

The soothing sounds of classical music filled the car, and the elegant decor gave it a luxurious feel. The man in the black leather chair had his eyes slightly closed, as if he were dozing off. 

“… Isn’t that the Madam?” 

Dean, upon suddenly seeing the figure outside, felt a sense of familiarity. 

Upon closer inspection, he discovered that it was indeed Victoria. 

Just as he was about to turn to report, he noticed that Matthew had opened his eyes and was gazing out the window. 

His eyes were so deep that it was hard to discern his emotions. 

Dean had been a constant companion for many years, often understanding him without him needing to say a word. 

“When will the income report for the last quarter be released?” 

“I have already requested the individuals below to work overtime.” 

“Okay.” 

Matthew rubbed his eyebrows and croaked. “I’ll remain in the vehicle for a bit.” 

Dean comprehended his intention and maneuvered the car to a position that allowed him to view Victoria clearly. 

“When did you learn to act independently?” The man glanced at him indifferently. 

Dean’s heart skipped a beat. “Shall I drive it back?” 

Matthew replied curtly, … Get out. 

The scenery along the river was breathtakingly beautiful. 

Occasionally, a slight wind blew, causing Victoria’s long hair to dance in the air. 

She perched on the lengthy chair beside her and gazed at the bridge spanning the river. 

Matthew opened his laptop and then started working. 

Occasionally, he would glance her way, yet no one could fathom her thoughts. 

That day, she uttered the word “divorce” to him for the first time. 

He felt a sharp pain emanating from his temple. 

Matthew raised his hand and massaged the area between his eyebrows. 

He never imagined Victoria would bring up the topic of divorce. 

At the most difficult time for him, he saw her with his own eyes at a prenatal checkup with another man, leaving him to search the world over, thinking she had an accident. 

He sustained himself during that time by drawing on his loathing of Victoria. 

As he made his comeback and became the wealthiest man in Belkan City, all those who had deserted him gradually return to his side… 

Victoria was also included in the group. 

Matthew thought it would be better if she did not come back. 

He would rather have her go far away than witness her returning to seek his favor for monetary and material gain. 

He initially believed they would remain this way for the remainder of their lives. 

They would torment one another for the remainder of their lives. 

But she declared that she could no longer endure it and desired to divorce him. 

Matthew’s eyes flashed with irony. 

Chapter 74 

He had loved her too much before, which was why she was so headstrong. 

An irritation suddenly arising in his heart, he pressed the horn. 

“Beep!” 

A piercing whistle sounded through the air. 

Victoria frowned and glanced around. 

As soon as she lifted her head, the Brabus‘ headlights shone so brightly that it was dazzling. 

Victoria narrowed her eyes and, subconsciously raising her head, blocked the light. 

The roar of a motorcycle pierced her ears, and a bulky machine emerged from her side, casting a heavy shadow that blocked out most of the light. 

Victoria shielded the light with her hand, allowing only a faint silhouette to be visible. 

Zion straddled his motorcycle, propping one foot on the ground. He removed his helmet, shaking out his chestnut–colored, wavy short hair. Sweat beaded on his forehead. 

Victoria, “wake up and take notice!” 

“… Zion?” 

“Why are you here?” Victoria put down her hand, her surprise evident in her voice. 

The dazzling light made her squint her eyes as she spoke to him. 

Upon seeing this, Zion spun around and flipped his middle finger off to the Brabus, while asking, “Do you have any decency?”
