A loud sound was heard. 

It was the sound of a motorcycle roaring in the distance. 

Victoria had just arrived at the junction of the community when she saw a group of ghostfire teenagers sprinting in front of her. 

She was a good student and rarely got involved in such matters, so she subconsciously shying away from them. 

A beam of strong light shone across. 

Frowning, she stepped to the side and blocked the light with her hand, but still couldn’t make out the person in front of her. 

Only when she heard a “beep,” did she realize that the person was saluting her. 

The motorcycle’s lights went dark. 

Victoria lowered her hand and saw the young man on the motorcycle, removing his helmet and smiling at her. 

Victoria, “What a serendipitous occurrence!” 

Victoria was taken aback for a moment, and then gradually smiled. “Zion, what brings you here?” 

“Do you have time? Do you fancy a ride?” Zion rode the motorcycle to her side and presented her with a pink helmet. 

Victoria just happened to not know where to go, but when she saw his motorcycle, she shook her head and said, “No way!” 

She was somewhat apprehensive about the security of this type of motorcycle. 

Zion noticed the anxiety in her eyes and asked, “Are you scared?” 

Victoria remained silent. 

At twenty–three, couldn’t she focus on the important points? 

She was terrified upon seeing this. 

Zion said helplessly, “I swear I won’t drop you, alright?” 

Victoria shook her head still. 

“You can have fun with your friends,” she said, glancing behind him, “but I still have something to do.” 

At a glance, she could tell he was the kind of young man with whom people had good affinity; both men and women among his friends now stopped and looked at them with malicious intent. 

Victoria couldn’t help but sigh as she said, “Ah, to be young again!” 

“You’re only twenty–three, not thirty–two. Why are you so wise beyond your years?” Zion couldn’t help but chuckle, 

“I really can’t manage it. You all can play.” 

She waved goodbye, then departed. 

Zion watched her leave without himself departing. 

A black motorcycle was approaching from behind. It was Brad who raised his chin. “Is that Victoria?” he asked. 

“Yes.” 

Brad asked, “Have you been pondering it? Did the lesson from the pool hall not suffice?” 

Once Zion had finished speaking, his expression grew cold and he fixed Brad with a stern gaze. 

“Okay, let’s just pretend I never said anything.” Brad shut his lips. 

“I must admit,” he said, gazing in the direction Victoria had gone, “Big sister is truly captivating. No surprise that someone as remarkable as Matthew is so eager to make her his own!” 

Zion remained silent. 

He sensed that the connection between Matthew and Victoria was more complicated than it seemed. 

He had overheard some of the dispute between Sarah and Jaime that day. 

It was evident that the few of them had been acquainted for quite some time, even though the conversation was incomplete. 

He hung the pink helmet on the front of the motorcycle and then followed Victoria. 

Brad urgently yelled out, “Brother Zion, where are you headed?” 

He pursued Zion for a few strides, yet realizing he couldn’t keep up, he had no choice but to abandon the pursuit.

He spun around and told his buddies behind him, “Brother Zion has something to take care of. Let’s battle it out today.” 

“What has become of Brother Zion?” one of the girls frowned. 

“Private matters.” 

“What personal matters?” 

Brad smiled and teased her, “What’s the deal with Brother Zion? Are you trying to get back together with him?” 

The girl blushed and shyly uttered, “Hush!” 

Along the river road. 

Victoria took a few strides and her thoughts became much more lucid. 

Turning on her phone, as expected, she saw many missed calls from Bruce. 

In the end, he sent a message to persuade her to cease complicating matters for Anya.
