Chapter Thirty-Three

I wake up in the morning to a huge headache. Shit, I am hungover, I need pills and coffee. I sit up in bed and look around, I am actually in my own room so I get up stretching but that wasn’t the best thing it only made my head worse. I look down and notice I am in pajama’s, I grab my dressing gown and putting it on I make my way out of my room down to the kitchen for pills and coffee. It took me a little longer to get to the kitchen but I finally made it. As soon as I step foot in the kitchen I can smell the coffee. Mmmm, I look over to it and notice everyone is already down here.

“Morning guys.”

“Morning Michelle!”

They all seem to shout. I put my hands over my ears and give my best hungover evil look to them.

“Can you not shout please?”

They all shut their mouth so I walked over to the coffee and poured myself one and then went to the medicine cupboard and took out some Ibuprofen and downed them with some of the coffee. I am already feeling better with having some of the coffee. Once I do that I top my coffee up and sit down with the rest of them.

“So what’s everyone up too.”

“Nothing much but one of you have some explaining to do.”

“Explaining what?”

“About your emotions last night.”

“OOHH that yeah there’s really no need to explain anything except that when I have so much to drink I tend to get a bit emotional and go through fazes like happy, sad, angry, romantic and so on.”

By this time of me explaining all the guys are nodding their head. I can only remember being in the club last night how did I get home.

“Hey, guys?”

“Yeah what’s up Michelle.”

Nik answers me, I turn to look at him and say.

“What happened after dancing last night?”

They looked at me like I was stupid.

“You can’t remember what happened last night. Well you punched some scumbag in the face for snaking his arm around your waist and not letting go and then you nearly punched Nik and then we got to the jeep and you conked out on Nik’s shoulder. Then Nik carried you in and put you to bed.”

Mum says, I look over to Nik and see a slight blush on his cheeks. So he was the one to dress me. Well gonna have to get used to that seen as he is my mate.

“Thank you, Nik for everything. And thank you guys for getting me home okay.”

“No problem Michelle.”

They all say in unison. I stand up and say cya because I am going up to my room for some more sleep.

And that is what happened over the last four weeks. Now back to the present day. We are at school and in gym. Today we are doing some more track and I am all up for it because I have slacked off lately. We all are dressed and waiting for Tanner to give us the rules and shit. Tanner and the guys walk in whilst everyone is sat in the bleachers. Tanner won’t look our way but the guys will, Nik is smiling at me and Damon is smirking at Jen whilst Ethan I looking at us with a brotherly smile.

“Alright everyone, today we will be doing track so everyone outside and get into teams of four. Oh, and it has to have two girls and two boys in each team.”

We all get up but Jen and I take our time. Once everyone else is out the door I turn to Jen and say.

“Well this is going to be a warm day so this top is staying in here.”

“I agree with you on the warm day but I am going to tuck mine under.”

I take my top off revealing a Black and white sports bra and I hear a growl behind me, I turn my head and smirk at Nik.

“What’s up Nik, something wrong?”

He shakes his head whilst laughing a little bit and with that Jen and I walk out the doors when we get outside everyone is in a team of four except me and Jen so we turn back and head to where Tanner is stood talking to the guys.

“Tanner. Jen and I are the only two left so we are being a two k. thanks bye.”

Once I said that I start turning around until a very high pitched voice interrupts my peaceful day.

“No that is not fair they can’t be a two you said everyone has to be a four.”

“Oh fuck off Bitch Barbie, there ain’t enough people to have fours so butt out of our conversation before I drop you like I did the last time.”

She was about to reply but she shut up when Damon, Nik, and Ethan all stood in front of me and Jen, Damon says in an authoritative tone.

“Barbie, go back to your own business. This is of no concern to you.”

“But babe. That is so not-”

She didn’t get to finish because Jen had punched her square in the jaw. Ouch, that is gotta hurt.

“The fuck you do that for.”

“Who the fuck are you calling babe. He ain’t your babe.”

Jen says all angry. I go to calm her but someone beats me to it. And obviously that someone is Damon. She calms down quickly and I don’t care to listen in to what he is saying to her but when I hear the words ‘exile out of the pack’ that is when I perk up. So I go close to Damon like inches away and say to him.

“Are you going to finally exile Bitch Barbie from the pack?”

“Yes but keep it down she doesn’t know yet.”

Now I am happy, I jump around and then notice that my hair is two-toned so it is orange and yellow. The thing that I don’t notice is literally everyone in the class staring at me like I am some sort of crazy psycho. Once I do notice though I stop jumping around and look at them all with an evil/sly smirk. They all avert their eyes and get back to what they are doing. Once I turn back to Jen and the guys, I see Jen still in Damon’s embrace and Nik looking at me with what I presume is love/lust.

“Come on let’s get this gym class started shall we.”

I say just to get the attention elsewhere. Everyone else takes their turn in running the track where we have to run ten laps, they only manage 5 laps. When it comes to mine and Jen’s turn we line-up but we are not alone. I look to my left and see Nik standing there next to me and to Jen’s right she has Damon. When Tanner says go we start our laps, Damon and Nik are in front but not for long. Haha around the 5th lap me and Jen both catch up and get in front of them. They have shocked faces and when it comes to the end lap we are only a few feet in front of the boys. As we pass the finish line we are running backward smirking at the lads. Then suddenly Jen and I both fall flat on our backs laughing our arses off.

“Show off!”

I turn my head to see that it was Nik who said this. I just carry on laughing and I can still hear Jen laughing her head off as well. I am sure we were laid there laughing for at least 10 minutes until our sun got cut off. I stop laughing and lookup. Nik and Damon are both stood above us.
