It’d been months since Dabria came to live with Ezequiel and me. Though she didn’t need our help with her charges any longer, Ezequiel rarely missed an opportunity to tag along. He swore to never let her go again, and he took that vow to heart. Our relationship had reached all manner of demons and angels. Dabria was a novelty, and thus fielded many questions on nights she worked at The Deacon.

Tonight, she and Ezequiel were dancing on the lower level as if they were the only two in the whole club. What some would consider puppy love I saw as a healing that none of us knew we needed.

What was supposed to have been a punishment ended up being fate’s way of bringing together three souls that belonged entwined for eternity.

Dabria was given a home, comfort, and a life. Ezequiel would likely say she was the greatest love he’d ever known and the only gift he would have ever wanted. But I saw how loving her had given him freedom from his past indiscretions and rid him of the guilt from many lifetimes of regret.

As for the Prince of Lust, I was more potent, deadly, and sinful than I’d been since my rebirth after the Fall. I was renewed and fueled by the desire the three of us shared. Having Dabria at my side brought me a steady focus that brought my most wicked abilities to the surface, and they shined brighter than they had been before she’d taken hold of my heart and soul.

For the rest of time, we belonged to each other. Made better by our love and forever a unit of power that could be compared to little else.
