Chapter 322

The distance was so close that Anne's j instantly dropped. When she returned to her senses, Anne tilted her head back, got up, and left the seat.

"I'm eating with my mom. Enjoy your dinner.” Anne refused.

"Aren't you quick to turn your back on me?" Tommy got up and said in a strange tone, "Didn't you say you wanted to thank me a few days ago? Is that how you repay me?"

Anne could not find the words to argue. After all, she was grateful, and it was indeed unjustified to forget his help in the blink of an eye.

"Where are we having dinner?"

Tommy instantly smiled. "Let's go, and don't worry as there won't be seafood.”

Anne followed Tommy to the restaurant for dinner as if she was completing a mission.

The restaurant offered Luton's specialty cuisine, and they could see the beautiful night view outside from the window on the second floor.

"Those who dine here are couples and families. What do you think our relationship is?" Tommy asked. His slender fingers held the rim of the white teacup, and his nails were round and clean. Anne glanced at him and said, "Debt and repayment.”

Tommy stared at her with interest and sneered, "Why didn't I find you so fun before?"

"Am I a monkey?" Anne retorted rudely.

"Monkeys won't have such a ridiculous reaction as you when they eat seafood,” Tommy teased, "That was the first time I've seen someone almost dying from seafood allergies.”

"Hey..." Anne stopped abruptly, looking up at the man who suddenly appeared in front of her and Dorothy beside him.

Dorothy held her husband's arm intimately.

On the other hand, Nigel seemed dazed and kept staring at Anne.

Anne could not help but think, "What the hell is he staring at? Is there a need to be so surprised?" Tommy followed Anne's gaze and saw the couple. However, he acted as if he did not notice them and looked away.

"What's the matter?” Dorothy said, pulling Nigel back to reality.

He did not even put effort into covering up his actions.

"It's nothing. Let's go.” Nigel looked at Anne's face as he passed by, trying to find something from those facial features.

Anne felt his gaze, and she thought it was strange.

"I didn’t arrange this," Tommy explained.

Anne thought Tommy was weirder. Why would he even explain it to her? Was this still the arrogant Tommy who could not care less about others?

"I don't mind,” Anne said as she took ? n of the tea. Besides feeling a little unlucky, she was unbothered by it.

On such occasions, Dorothy would not cause her trouble. After all, it could be seen that they were on a date as Bianca was not present. Hence, why would Dorothy let others ruin her good time with her husband? At most, she would only hide her resentment.

Dorothy and Nigel reserved a private room and ordered their food after entering. "There's no seafood here. I still remember that you can't eat seafood.”

They had a housekeeper who would cook for them, but Dorothy still took note of the dishes served at home. She was afraid Nigel's mood would be ruined during dinner if there was seafood. At the end of the day, a wife should, at the very least, serve her husband and raise their children.

Looking up, Dorothy found that Nigel had been staring at the menu without moving, and his expression was strange. Then, she asked, "What's the matter? You don't look so good." "Go ahead and order. I'm fine with anything." Nigel closed the menu.
