Chapter 4 |Guards|

Willow sat in a corner, tears streaming down her snout. The look of them made her sick, but what made her want to sit in her corner until she died was that her friends would face execution in an hour.

They were blamed for hurting her, she had hit her head on the concrete floor when she was hit by a vision, and they were screaming her name and drawing attention to themselves.

Guards came in and thought from the blood on their hands that they were hurting her. And so they were arrested and sentenced to execution. They were in a separate room

The people that were in her room now were zombified with hollowed-out eyes, ripped clothing, and long scars across their bodies. She was so mad and upset she sat in her corner and would not eat a single bite no matter how hard the guards begged her,

Each time she would say “I will not eat until my friends are safe.” and each time they would answer

“They are safe, they are not harmed.”

“But they are going to face execution so they are not safe.” She would retort, at this point the guards would sigh and give up, leaving her food behind.

She destroyed her entire room, every pillow, wall, window, and door was either scratched or broken, each time they would give her something to make her feel better she destroyed it, and she even started to claw at the walls.

Willow was sitting at the door waiting to be let out for the execution when 2 guards walked in wielding spears.

A dragon and a human were dragged out from behind the guards. Four guards stood at the doorway, two holding the human and two holding the dragon. All four of the guards had armor; they were also welding spears and guns.

“Darius! Rollan!” Willow cried rushing to their side, they looked like they had been beaten and starved.

Rollan looked like he died and came back to life as a skeleton, he was so skinny she could see his bones, and he had what looked to be thousands of scars across his face, underbelly, back, and tail. All of them fresh with blood, his cheeks were hollow and his eyes were bloodshot from no sleep, Darius was the same, except his eyes weren’t red

“Hey Willow, nice to see you awake,” Darius said before passing out from blood loss. She looked up at the guards, her eyes a dark red.

“You said they weren’t harmed!” she cried.

She lunged at the guards. Her teeth, and claws barred. She clawed every eye, wing, tail, and snout she could find, and she whacked guards with her tail, rage thundered through her veins.

The guards were forced to call for backup. Soon enough she was pinned down by 5 guards, but she refused to give up and continued to struggle even when they threatened to kill her friends.

She looked up to see the Head Guard standing over her.

“That is not a very nice way to treat your host!” he snarled, bending down.

“You...,” She snarled, “You hurt my family!”

She snapped her tail up, whacking a guard in the face, he lost his grip on her tail just enough for her to wack another guard in the snout and he too lost his grip. She twisted her body around and flung her wings out whacking the rest of the guards off her.

She charged at the Head Guard slamming the other guards out of the way and closed her claws around his throat before they could register what had happened.

“You hurt my friends, the only family that I have ever known!” she asked growled both sets of claws wrapped around his throat

“N-no! I-I’m s-sorry I-I was ordered too!” he answered starting to choke

“Who told you to hurt them!” she asked angrily her eyes flashing a dangerous red

“The-the-”

“Tell me who!” She growled, her claws tightening around his neck.

She had never felt so angry in her life, she felt as though she could kill everyone in this room

“The Princess! The Princess ordered me to!” He exclaimed in a hoarse voice

She loosened her claws from around the guard’s neck. He fell onto his knees gasping for air.

She bent down and lifted his chin with her claw and growled “Where is the Princess?”

“Sh-sh-she’s in her room!” He cried out before collapsing in a coughing heap.

She let his head fall as she got up. She was about to walk out the door when a voice from behind her snarled “Well, well... Mother will not be happy to see that her daughter destroyed her guards.”
