One of a Kind Dragon
Chapter 3 |Gone|

Willow’s reflexes kicked in. She awoke with a start, barrel-rolling out of the way of a dragon’s claw, swinging her powerful tail back and forth, and clawed anything she could get a hold of.

She was on her feet before her brain could process where she was and raced out. She was quickly blocked by a white dragon with a gold eye and snout “Miss I advise you to go back where you came from” he told her.

She walked back into the room to see two of her favorite faces having a conversation

“She can sure hit hard” Rollan said

“I taught her to barrel roll and fling out her tail but never to slash at someone!” Darius retorted, covering his eyes.

“She is still a dragon, it is an instinct to lash out with tail, teeth, and claws.”

“Darius!!! Rollan!!!” Willow shrieked as she barreled into them “Hey glad to see you awake!” Darius exclaimed as Willow crashed onto him and gave him a bear hug

Willow turned around to see Rollan smiling at her.

She locked eyes with him and he looked away. She walked over to him. Before he could protest she hugged him. She wrapped her arms around him and stayed there.

She could hear his steady heartbeat as she laid her head on his chest. She could feel his breath on her shoulder as he lay his head down and hugged her back. She stepped back remembering Rollan didn’t particularly like hugs as Darius came up beside her.

As he brushed past her she suddenly had a vision of Darius shifting into a black dragon. The dragon looked like a queen, with her golden crown and ring. She looked at her feet to see she too had a ring.

She caught a glimpse of a gold-tipped tail and a black-tipped tail before she collapsed.

She awoke to bright light. So bright that she had to squint to see Darius pacing back and forth, whispering to himself, his voice shaking.

Rollan sat beside him telling himself that everyone would be okay. “Darius? Rollan? Where am I?” she asked. The both of them turned to look at her, her eyes widened in fear and she screamed.
