“Is it resolved?” 

“The issue of the venue? Is it settled?” 

Samantha opened the car door. She grabbed a towel to wipe off the water droplets 

from her hair. 

“We need a solution.” 

“I didn’t expect the company’s efficiency to be this low.” 

Samantha chuckled coldly, ending the call with Kendrick. 

Meanwhile in the office, Kendrick was working on solutions to the issue. When he heard the beep on the phone, his l*ps curled subtly into a smile. He found Sophia to be interesting and completely different from Samantha. 

“Mr. Ford, we can terminate the contract with Ms. Meadows,” Jude said. His face was 

devoid of emotion. 

When an employee refused to abide by the rules multiple times, it was only natural 

to terminate her from the project. 

Kendrick smirked and said, “It’s fine. She’s not only my employee.” 

He needed someone who could help him. He also needed a wife who wouldn’t 

threaten his position. He admired Sophia’s talents as well as the feeling she gave 

him. 

He could detect traces of Samantha in her, even though the two of them were very 

different. 

Samantha sent Helen back to the office. She didn’t stay for long because she headed 

to the hospital where the victims were. She was to pay them a visit as well as to

There was a minor accident at the company. I came to check on the injured,“ 

Samantha chuckled helplessly, walking over to Francis. 

In a gesture resembling a priest’s blessing in a church, Samantha set down her 

belongings. She intertwined her fingers and prayed. 

“May your mother’s illness be alleviated.” 

It was something she had learned abroad. Often, in the most vulnerable moments, people needed something to believe in. They needed faith. 

Samantha opened her eyes, gave Francis a small hug, and then turned to leave. 

Francis stood in place, clenching his fists. 

He whispered to himself, “What should I do with you?” 

Samantha didn’t obtain the answer she wanted when she arrived at the ward. She 

was even kicked out of the ward by the patients‘ family members.

she continued to deal with the matters at hand.

He tried to prevent this incident from becoming public knowledge. 

Samantha opened her computer and scrolled through her phone’s photo album. In 

the camera album, there were several pictures of the wreckage at the exhibition 

venue, along with photos from the injured ward, 

“Kendrick, this is your karma.” 

Samantha’s voice was so soft that she could barely hear herself. 

Then, she clicked the send button. This would create a huge blow for this exhibition. 

The news that should have been intercepted long ago erupted within less than two 

hours. Major social media platforms were flooded with reports about the exhibition. 

A vast online community almost formed a comprehensive net to collect information 

about the incident. It made it impossible for the PR department to bury the matter. 

“What’s going on?” 

Kendrick put down his phone. Its screen was filled with various photos. 

“Someone leaked the information.” 

Jude’s expression turned cold.

Samantha’s expression turned unpleasant. However, she couldn’t help but smirk 

inwardly. She thought that Conrad was truly ruthless.

matter of the injured party,” Kendrick said, twisting the pen in his hand ever so
