Chapter 22

I woke up to shouts being heard down stairs. My eyebrows pulled together as I saw Xavier running around in our room.

“Xavier? What’s going on?” I asked as I stood up out of the bed. Xavier looked at me and his eyes softened.

“Get ready Bliss. The wars started,” he said and my eyes widened. I ran to the closet and grabbed my clothes that when I shift, they won’t rip.

I hurried into the bathroom and changed. After I changed, I pulled my hair up into a ponytail.

I then ran outside the bathroom and into the bedroom only to see Xavier already left to the battle.

I growled at the thought and ran out of the bedroom and outside.

When I got outside, I gasped and stopped. The sight in front of me were horrific.

Bodies were everywhere.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as a wolf tackled me. I growled at the Rogue on top of me and shifted.

He tried to but my neck but I dodged the blow and in return, bit his neck. I held on to it until he stopped struggling and fell, lifeless, on top of me.

I growled and pushed him off. His limp body fell on the ground with a thump.

I got up and looked around. I saw one of Emma’s pack members, Hailey I think was her name, taking on 2 Rogues at the same time so I ran over to her and tackled a Rogue that was on top of her while she finished off the other one.

I bit his neck and he thrashed around until he slowly stopped and then just laid there. I let go of his neck and jumped off of him.

I looked around again and was trying to find Jackson to see if he was fine but before I could look any more, 5+ Rogues tackled me to the ground.

I growled at them as I dodged their Attacks to my neck. I howled in pain as I dodged one blow but another took the opportunity to grabbed my neck as it was in clear site.

I tried to get away but all he did was bit harder on my neck. I whimper in pain. There was no way I could get all of them off me before I die.

I closed my eyes, waiting for the pain but felt nothing. I slowly opened my eyes to see Jackson biting the Rogues neck.

I smiled at him and he returned it as I hopped off the ground. I turned back to the battle and Jackson walked up beside me.

I smirked at him and nodded my head in his direction as he did the same and we took off into battle, killing Rogues left and right.

After we killed some Rogues, we met up with each other and shifted back.

“Have you seen Emma?” Jackson asked and I shook my head. He nervously ran his hand through his hair and I looked at him with concern. “She wasn’t in bed when I woke up. I looked everywhere for her but she was nowhere to be seen,” He said.

I thought about it for a while until realization came to me. I quickly looked up and saw Jackson had realized it also. His eyes widened and he looked at me.

“Rasputin,” We said together and took off into the woods as the rest of the pack were fighting the Rogues.

We were running for a while, trying to find Emma when we heard growls, snarls and a howl of pain. By the way Jackson jerked to the side, I knew it was Emma.

Jackson and I looked at each other in panic and we dashed in the direction where it came from. We ran as fast as we could until we heard another howl of pain. We froze and looked at each other again.

Jackson then took off, faster than before.

“Jackson!” I yelled and took off after him. “Jackson! Hey! Wait up!” I yelled as I ran after him.

A couple minutes have past when Jackson suddenly stopped, making me run into him. I went to yell at him but stopped when I looked past him.

There, in the middle of a clearing, was Emma and a couple Rogues fighting about 300+ Rogues there. I stared wide eyed at the fight.

Jackson winced as Emma got bite on the leg by a Rogue. Jackson went to go run to Emma but I stopped him.

“Jackson wait,” I said and he turned to me with an annoyed expression. “Before we go, we need backup,” I said and he agreed with me after a while.

‘Xavier, hurry up and come over here. Bring whoever can fight and hurry,’ I mind-linked Xavier.

‘Got it,’ he said and cut off the connection with me.

Five minutes later, Xavier and our warriors arrived with Jackson’s.

“Finally,” Jackson muttered and shifted. I also shifted and looked at the Rogues attacking Emma. Jackson growled loudly as a Rogue bite Emma on the neck.

When they heard Jackson’s growl, every single one turned to us. I growled also and lunged at the closes Rogue to me.

The Rogue let go of Emma then and ran over to us. Jackson quickly dodged the attack and bit down on its neck, quickly killing him.

He started to run to Emma but then he got tackled. Emma growled and killed the Rogue on top of her. She ran up and tackled the Rogue on Jackson, killing it instantly.

Jackson jumped up and tackled Emma to the ground, licking her face. Emma laughed and pushed Jackson off her.

They then lunged towards the Rogues closes to them. I smiled, still in wolf form, but then yelped when I got tackled to the ground.

I looked up to see a Rogue tackled me and snarled at him. He snarled back and went to bite my neck but I dodged last minute and instead of him biting my neck, he bit my shoulder.

I howled in pain and then growled at him. He growled back and went to bite my neck again but got tackled by Xavier.

Xavier growled and quickly killed the Rogue.

‘Thanks,’ I said in his head and he nodded. I got up and looked around, noticing all the Rogues dead. I looked around but didn’t see Emma anywhere. I saw Jackson looking around frantically.

I shifted and put on some clothes that a pack member gave me. I thanked them and quickly ran towards Jackson.

“Where’s Emma?!” I yelled. He looked at me and shook his head.

“I don’t know. One minute she was fighting beside me then the next, she’s gone!” He yelled. I went to talk but a roar of pain cut me off.

Jackson cried out in pain and fell to the ground. I quickly ran to him and looked for any new injuries. I couldn’t see any so I thought of what could happen and paled.

“Emma...” Jackson and took off into the woods. I cursed under my breath and took off behind him with everyone on my tail.

When we finally see Emma, she’s in her dragon form, fighting a black dragon.

Another 10 minutes, they were still in the fight until he stopped. He breathed in and then when he exhaled, fire came out of his mouth, hitting Emma’s skin.

Once it hit her skin, I cried out in pain. What the heck is in the fire?!

She growled at him and bit his shoulder. He howled in pain and threw her at a tree. Jackson winced and tried to move but couldn’t

She growled and stood up. She looked around for Rasputin (since he disappeared) but couldn’t find him. She walked a few steps then got tackled.

She looked up and Rasputin grinned at her. He roared and then bite Emma’s neck. She roared in pain as he let go instead of holding her so she will die instantly, so I am guessing he wants her to suffer.

He backed away a little bit and then shifted into his human form. Luckily he still had clothes on.

“Silly, Silly Emma,” Rasputin laughed as he walked closer to Emma. “You cannot win,” He laughed again as she tried to keep her eyes open. “I will always win,” He then leaned down closer to Emma’s face.

She smirked at him and lifted my face up but before he had time to figure out what she was doing she bites his neck.

He struggled a bit but then stopped and fall to the floor, lifeless.

She let her head fall to the floor as she shifted back to my human form. She gasped out breaths as she closed her eyes.

“EMMA!!!!!” Jackson yelled as he ran over to her. He picked her up and started running to the pack hospital.

We all ran after him. We ran into the pack hospital to see Jackson pacing in the waiting room.

“You okay Jackson?” I asked him. He looked at me and shook his head. He sighed and sat down on a chair. “Don’t worry Jackson. She’s going to be okay, she’s strong,” I said and pulled him into a hug.

“Thanks Bliss,” He said as he pulled out of the hug.

“Welcome,” I smiled at him. Just then, the doctor walked into the room. Jackson stood up faster than lightning and opened his mouth but the Doctor cut him off.

“She’s fine,” He said and Jackson breathed a sigh of relief. “We put her in a long coma because of her injuries but she’ll wake up in a week or so. You may go to her room if you want,” He said.

“Thank you doctor,” Jackson said and shook his hand. The doctor nodded and left the room. Jackson then ran to Emma’s room. We walked in after him and sat down

“Please wake up Emma,” Jackson whispered and kissed the back of her hand, holding it tightly. Tears came to my eyes as I looked at Emma. She had bandages everywhere and they had blood on them.

The worst one yet was the one on her neck. A tear slide down my face as I looked her over. With the time they’ve been at the house with us, Emma and I have got to know each other really well and soon became best friends.

Xavier pulled me to his chest as I let the tears flow free. He rubbed my back as I silently sobbed. I hate seeing Emma like this. It breaks my heart. Please wake up soon Emma.

It’s been a month since the war ended and Emma still hasn’t woken up. We’re all horrible but Jackson is the worst out of us.

We have make him eat and shower. Sometimes he is so stubborn the Xavier and Jack have to drag him out of the hospital and to the house to shower.

Emma is like our rock. She is strong, beautiful, funny, serious, loving, caring, and the list goes on.

It has been a rough month for us. No one laughs and jokes around, we don’t even have a full conversation! We can’t even say three words to each other!

We’re all frustrated with Emma not waking up but we all just need to be patent.

Also a week ago, we found out I was 3 weeks pregnant. Xavier was shocked at first when I first told him but now he’s really excited. Almost as excited as I am but I want Emma to be there for when I go into labor.

I was sitting next to the hospital bed as Jackson, Xavier, and Jack were at the house taking showers. I was reading a new book of mine called Talon by Julie Kagawa (A/N: Really good book! She’s my favorite Author!) and I looked up just in time to see Emma’s hand twitch.

I gasped and placed my bookmaker in the spot I was at. I put the book down and sat up straight.

“Emma? Can you hear me Emma? Twitch your hand again if you can, “I said and held my breath, hoping I wasn’t imagining it. Her hand twitched again and I gasped. “Emma! Come one, Emma! Open your eyes. Please open your eyes Emma,” I pleaded and watched as her eyes fluttered open but quickly closed from the bright light.

I quickly ran over to the light and turned them over and opened the curtains so we at least have some light.

“Emma?” I asked as I walked over to her. She looked around the room in confusion and she looked at me.

“Water,” She roughly said and I quickly poured her water. I handed her it and she chugged it down. After she was done, she handed it to me and smiled. “Thanks Bliss,” She said and I smiled.

“No problem,” I said and she looked around. After a while she looked at me in confusion.

“Where’s Jackson?” She asked and I started laughing. She looked at me weirdly and I laughed harder.

“At home,” I said once I stopped laughing. Hurt flashed in her eyes. “No, no. It’s not what you think,” I said quickly to her. “The reason why he’s at home is cause he’s taking a shower and getting something to eat. He was here before but Xavier and Jack had to drag him back to the house... literally,” I said and chuckled.

“Oh okay,” She said and looked at her hands.

‘Get back to the hospital now. Emma just woke up,’ I mind-linked Xavier.

‘On our way,’ He mind-linked back and I smiled.

“They’re on their way here,” I said to Emma and she nodded. We continued to talk until the door was thrown open and Jackson ran in. Once He saw Emma, he grinned.

“Emma!” He yelled and pulled her into a hug then kissed her passionately. I walked up to Xavier and hugged him. I turned around in his arms and he pulled me into his chest as we watched Jackson and Emma.

“Don’t ever leave me,” Jackson said once they pulled away.

“Never,” Emma said and kissed him again.
