Chapter 2032 A Bitter Smile

He was Larry.

Athena couldn't fathom why it was Larry.

When Byron was born, Larry died after three or four years.

Aside from accidentally discovering that his biological father was Larry in his teens, there had been little interaction throughout his upbringing.

Alivia had erased every trace of Larry as much as she could and forbade anyone from mentioning him.

Byron's knowledge about Larry was likely limited.

How could he be Larry?

"Where are you going?" Byron furrowed his brows and looked towards the boy in his imagination.

Athena also followed his gaze, but besides Mike, no one else was in the room.

She couldn't describe her feelings at that moment.

In Byron's perspective, the boy looked at Athena and said, "I'll come back later. She doesn't look too well."

Byron immediately turned his gaze back towards Athena.

His attention had suddenly shifted, and he exclaimed, "Your neck!"

Byron's brows knitted, and Athena tightly held his hand as though she were going to crush it.

Athena asked, "Do you remember anything that happened last night? Nothing at all?"

Byron shook his head and said, "He took control of my body. It must be him!"

He said this while trembling uncontrollably.

Byron said, attempting to pull away from Athena's grip, "No, I can't let him harm you. Mike, take Athena away!"

Athena hurriedly asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm not safe right now. I'm dangerous, do you understand? You can't stay by my side any longer. Mike, take her away!"

Mike stood there with a stony expression, waiting for Athena's decision.

"Byron, calm down a bit!" Athena tried to soothe Byron's emotions.

But as she stood up, Byron noticed a more significant bruise on her neck.

Byron was deeply affected, and his feelings became even more agitated. "I don't want you here. Please, go!"

Seeing this, Mike rushed forward to press Byron back onto the hospital bed and pressed the call button for the medical staff.

Upon hearing the commotion, Dorian had just arrived from Martin's area and entered the room.

Byron was too agitated, and Mike was struggling to contain him. Dorian hurriedly came forward to assist.

Together, they firmly held Byron down on the bed.

Byron's eyes were bloodshot, and he looked at Athena pleadingly. "Go! Please, listen to me!"

The doctor arrived quickly.

In this situation, the only option was to administer a sedative.

Byron gradually calmed down, and as his eyelids closed, his eyes filled with sorrow and guilt.

The room returned to an eerie silence, almost too quiet.

Choosing his words carefully, the doctor sighed. "Mr. Crawford's current condition requires the urgent involvement of a trusted mental health specialist. Relying solely on sedatives is not a long-term solution." "I'm already arranging that," Athena nodded.

The doctor asked, "I know a renowned team in a psychological disorder research institute in Girard City. Would you like me to contact them?"

Athena hesitated for a moment and then smiled bitterly. "Are you talking about Doc. Freed?"
