Keegan texted: [You're putting me in a tough position here. How could I ever have the heart to scold you?] Stella texted back: [Just say whatever you want and watch me handle it.] After a while, Keegan's call

came through.

Stella deliberately walked closer to Jaylene before taking her phone out.

Jaylene had already heard Stella's phone ringing. When she saw her taking it out, she subconsciously glanced at it and saw Keegan's name.

Stella noticed her gaze and arrogantly looked at her before answering the call in front of her.

"I said I'll be back in a while. Can't you wait?" Stella pretended to be annoyed.

"Let me tell you a joke," Keegan said.

"Get to the point." "Why was the belt arrested?" Keegan asked.

With a stern face, Stella said, "Did you call me just to tell me that?"

Keegan continued, "For holding up a pair of pants."

Stella sneered. "What if I did say that? Keegan Kane, are you here to ask for an apology?"

Keegan added, "And for being a 'waist' of time for the police."

Stella almost burst into laughter, but she clenched her fist to immerse herself in the act. "Do you believe in everything he says? Are you brainless?"

Although Jaylene was not very far away, she could not hear what was said on the other end of the phone. But upon seeing Stella's frustrated expression, she figured that it was not a pleasant conversation. A smirk tugged at her lips.

She ended the call after saying those words.

Jaylene asked pretentiously, "Stella, what did you and Keegan talk about?

Why did you get so angry?"

Stella replied with a tense face, "It's none of your business."

But Jaylene persisted and kept on asking, "Does Keegan want you to move out?"

Stella's back stiffened. She shot Jaylene a fierce look and went to the washroom with a stern face.

Keegan chuckled happily. "Isn't that the best way to test your acting skills, superstar?"

Stella clenched her jaw. "Just because I said I'd break your legs? You're overreacting!"

Stella said, "Aldor knows how to make a girl happy a lot better than you do!"

Keegan was speechless. 'Didn't she just say that the joke was stupid?' As she stepped out of the cubicle, she bumped into Sonia, who was waiting outside.
