Chapter 236

“I’ll try my best!” Emmanuel smiled at Claudette. His bronzed skin and

reassuring smile were exceptionally attractive in her eyes, so she took the

initiative to hold his hand gently.

Since Emmanuel thought of her as his friend, he held her hand without

hesitation and continued to track forward.

He was a real soldier that had been to war, so his keen senses were

took out two men from the other team.

“Dr. Lowe, you’re amazing! We will definitely come out as winners with you on

our team!”

Looking at the admiration in her eyes, Emmanuel did not think much of it

because, to him, beating a couple of students was a piece of cake for the

Northern Region’s Best Marksman. Therefore, there was nothing for him to be

proud of. However, his low–key behavior attracted Claudette even more as

she thought he had a mature charm.

Meanwhile, news of Emmanuel’s heroic performance had been spread

throughout the battlefield. Following the increasing number of people he

ousted from the competition, the rest felt they must work together to take out

Emmanuel for them to have a chance at winning!

Therefore, the number of people trying to ambush Emmanuel and Claudette

gradually increased, but Emmanuel managed to overturn the situation and

oust them all! 

“Ms. Lenoir, watch out!”

Suddenly, someone tried to tag Claudette from behind. Emmanuel couldn’t

care less about anything and conditionally reacted by pushing her to the

ground before rolling away.

While rolling away, he fired his gun at the two opponents who tried to

ambush them, ending their time in the game! 

That’s awesome! Claudette rolled on the ground with Emmanuel’s arm

attractive he is! No wonder a misandrist such as Mackenzie would also fall for

him!

After he saw her looking at him with wide eyes but did not move, Emmanuel

felt his heart skip a beat. This is bad! Have I been too focused on the game

and accidentally hurt Ms. Lenoir’s head by squashing her?

“Ms. Lenoir, can you hear me?” 

He nervously leaned closer while waving his hand before her face. However,

the closer he came, the quicker Claudette’s heart pounded! Her bust rose

start to fantasize about something. Is Dr. Lowe going to kiss me? 

If it had been another man, she would not be willing to give up her first kiss,

which she had kept for over 20 years. But now, she felt excited and even

closed her eyes, blushing as she waited for him to kiss her.

When Emmanuel saw her suddenly closing her eyes, he became even more

frightened! He could not figure out what was happening and wondered if

there was really something wrong with her. Although he had treated many

people, he had never seen anyone with the symptoms Claudette was 

currently showing. Her complexion was perfectly healthy, but she behaved

like something was wrong with her mentality.

“Ms. Lenoir, are you okay?”

Emmanuel called out to her again but still received no response, which

shocked him so much that he immediately picked her up.

Meanwhile, Claudette hadn’t expected things would turn out like this! She

now understood that the man would continue to interact with her if she did.

While nervously checking out their surroundings, Emmanuel searched for a

shady area where he could set the lady down and check up on her. He was

unsure whether she was suddenly dizzy from the heat or something strange

was happening to her.

“Hey, look!” That scene just happened to fall into Elizabeth’s sight, and she

quickly dragged Beatrix over to watch.

“My goodness! This is too much, isn’t it? What are they trying to do?” 

When Beatrix saw that scene, she immediately took out her phone to take a 

video. She did not expect her brother–in–law to be such a sc*mbag. Did he

fall for Claudette after she flirted with him a few times? This is awesome-

ahem! I mean, he’s so shameless!

After bringing Claudette to a spot under a shady tree, Emmanuel asked, “Ms.

Lenoir, we can forfeit if you’re unwell. How about I bring you home to rest?” 

At that, Claudette instantly sat up straight. It happened so quickly that the

man could not react in time, and the two almost kissed. The atmosphere

instantly grew intense when their eyes met, and Claudette could feel her

heart nearly leap out of her chest!

She remembered Laura used to say that when a man and a woman looked

into each other’s eyes at a close distance, their attraction toward each other

would increase tenfold! Her aunt also said that men were more active

beings. During situations like this, even if the man disliked the woman or

thought the woman looked ordinary, he would not be able to resist kissing

the woman before him due to the surging of hormones.

Kiss me, Dr. Lowe! I’m ready! Claudette gulped.

If Laura were right, Emmanuel would not be able to resist himself and kiss her.

Claudette decided not to disappoint herself and be bolder than ever, so she

tugged on Emmanuel’s hand and urged, “Dr. Lowe, why don’t we continue the

game? You must lead me to victory!”

“Sure, I’ll try my best!” 

The insensitive Emmanuel did not understand the meaning behind her words

and simply thought she was excited to play the game.

Since there should be lesser opponents at this point in the game, he wanted

to end the battle as soon as possible so that they could become the winners!
