Chapter 6

Greyson’s POV

My beta told me about the human male asking town members about my mate, he said she was a good friend of his. He just so happened to wonder into the coffee shop that a pack member owns and asked the right wolf who knew Autumn belonged to me. I will deal with the human later, I know Autumn said she dated a human, this must be him. She might have even said she would meet him in town before she knew she would be mated up with me. Maybe I can ask her about him, maybe later. I love the way she is looking at me. I am curious if she is willing to move in with me, surely she knows it will be painful to stay away from me.

We sit down with everyone and different ones are asking her about the other pack and her life there, some of the younger ones are excited and even though they really don’t remember her they get the vibe that she is someone special. After a while I mind link her asking if we can go for a walk. She excuses herself from the crowd and I do as well and I catch her hand and we move away from the crowd, as soon as we are far away from everyone I ask her “Kitten, what is the name of that guy you were dating?” She looks at me confused and asks “why?” I look at her and say “someone is in town asking for you” she looks shocked and I tell her “he is staying at a hotel in town” she looks to me and says “I broke it off with him, I knew he wasn’t my mate and he wanted more and I didn’t want to go that far. I didn’t know he would show up here” I can tell she is being sincere. “Well I will send a message to him saying that you do not want to talk to him” she smiles and then says “Greyson, please don’t hurt him, he is just infatuated with me, you know how humans get drawn to us” I nod my head, yeah I did know.

“I also want to talk to you about maybe you coming to my house, I need to be close to you and I will be the perfect gentleman, I promise.” She grins at me and says “I figured that was coming. I am not even unpacked, so yeah, I guess me moving in with you is what is best for the both of us.” Whew that is a relief. I am trying to fight with my wolf to keep from taking her, I can tell she is coming around to the idea of us being mates. I don’t know when we will go all the way, but I have to be patient with her. She is coming around I argue with my wolf. She agreed to move in with me. We will see if she insists on her own room or not. Just give her time, I keep arguing with my wolf.

As we walk back the party is dying down and Autumn mind links me as more of the pack comes up to us. ‘Greyson, I am really tired, can we go soon?’ I smile and then whisper in her ear. “of course, sweetheart, anything you want” she closes her eyes and I can see her smile. I affect her and she knows that I can see that. My wolf is happy about her reaction to me. He wants me to turn up the seduction and to make her mine tonight.

After saying our goodbyes to John and others and she grabs a few things from her suitcases that she will need for the night she joins me downstairs, with us being on the motorcycle we can’t take all of her things, I told her she could use my things but she insists on using her toothbrush. She hugs John and he tells her something that I can not hear and she blushes and hugs him before she come over to me all of a sudden shy again. What was that about? I will ask her later, right now I want to get my girl home. She didn’t bring anything but her purse with her phone, a charger and whatever else she shoved in there, it’s not that big so I know she doesn’t have another set of clothes in there and it makes me happy to think about her wearing my clothes. John is bringing her items tomorrow. I smile as she wraps her arms around me. She lays her head against my back and to my surprise she then wraps her legs around my hips bringing her legs up onto my thighs. It makes me growl in excitement. My wolf is wanting to howl at the feel of her legs wrapped around me. When she was young my wolf wanted to protect her, he never suggested that we mate with her, but now my wolf can’t wait, he argues that she is not a little girl anymore. No, she definitely is not.

Back at my house, I grab her up and toss her over my shoulder as she screams out in shock, I pop her behind and say “me man, you my woman, you come with me” I carry her inside as she giggles at my exuberance and my caveman like behavior. I carry her all the way up the stairs and set her down on the bed. She giggles as she looks up at me and she is shy once again and says “so this is our room now?” Then her eyes move around the room and I ask “is to my ladies satisfaction?” She nods and says “it will do” I smile at her sassy comment. “Kitten, I really enjoyed spending time with you today and this evening. It was nice to see you relaxed with your friends and laughing and talking, I have never saw you that way. I am making it my life long goal to make you smile and laugh.” She then walks up closer to me and says “I want to make it my life long goal to make you happy, so if smiling makes you happy, I will do so just to please you” I pull her close to me and kiss her gently. She pulls away and says “I need a shower, can I have a t shirt to sleep in tonight?” I smile and say “yes ma’am you can” I go over to my dresser and pull out a white t shirt and can’t wait to see it on her body, she grabs her phone, toothbrush, and a pair of lacy panties and moves past me to the bathroom grabbing the shirt on her way. She shuts the door and I hear the water start and then music from her phone. After a few minutes she is singing along with the music. I smile at the song she has chosen, Animals by Maroon 5, appropriate to say the least. I run to the guest bath and shower quickly and dress into my pj pants and leave my shirt off. I come back into the bedroom and hear the shower stop just as I get the blankets pulled back on the bed.

The bathroom door opens and she steps out with my tshirt on and my wolf is fighting me to take over, she walks over to the bed towel drying her hair and she sits on the edge of the bed and grabs a tube of lotion from her purse and I watch her as she begins to lotion up her arms first, I make my way into the bathroom to brush my teeth and see her pink toothbrush next to mine. I smile because when I woke up today my toothbrush was alone and I had no idea that it would have one next to it at the end of the day. My mate, I found my mate and she is beautiful and right there in my bed.

I walk back into the bedroom and she is rubbing lotion into her beautiful legs, how I want them legs wrapped around me, I said I wouldn’t push her, but she is killing me with this. She gives me a shy but very seductive smile and asks “you wouldn’t happen to have a hair dryer would you?” I frown and tell her I do not. She shrugs and says maybe it won’t be too bad in the morning, so she brushes it out and it is so long, I love it. I make my way over to her and pull her up to me and she gasps and smiles at me. I kiss her and she allows me to deepen the kiss as I pull her closer to me and then she backs up to the bed and she pulls me down onto the bed.

I pull back and ask her “what was it that John said to you that made you blush?” She smiles and shrugs “he told me to give myself to you, that it’s inevitable and once we mate that I will feel better about it, that prolonging it will only make it more difficult for the both of us.” I sigh and tell her “I don’t want to this if you aren’t ready, I know earlier today you were quite shy and didn’t want to show me your body, but now you are willing to give yourself to me? Baby, I can wait until you are completely ready” she then pouts and says “earlier today I was still trying to wrap my mind around being back here and realizing that you of all men are my mate, but I have had the best day with you and John is right I can’t pretend that I don’t want you. Truth is Greyson, I am ready.” That’s all I needed to know.
