Girls Rule
Chapter 19: Damsel In Distress

Ace

‘Damn.’ Zylen growled as she got off the dead rogue. ‘Why is this place so guarded?’

‘Probably because he’s keeping one of the most strongest alphas in the country dumbass.’ Colby replied sarcastically.

‘Yanno. Sometimes your sarcasm really hurts.’

‘Children!’ I snapped as they both bowed their heads. ‘Can we please stick to the real mission here?’

‘Right.’ They both responded.

I nodded my head to the right, got lower to the ground, and softly crept closer the their little hideout.

I mean seriously guys. Right in the middle of a giant open space in the forest? Even rogues should know better than that.

‘Ace.’ Zylen said through the link.

‘What’s up?’ I asked as I turned my head to look at her.

‘Rogue. Two oclock.’ She mentioned.

I looked over and he was completely oblivious to the amount of wolves I have that are ready to attack.

‘What a fucking idiot.’ Ava laughed.

‘Ooh can I get this one?’ Colby begged. ‘Please please please.’

I sighed. ‘Have at it.’

‘Hell ya motherfucka!’ She yelled right before she jumped from the tall grass and took out the guy without a sound being heard.

She’s gotten better. A lot better actually.

‘Alpha.’ Lincoln linked me.

‘What is it?’ I asked as Colby snuck her way back over to where we were.

‘The ambush team is ready alpha.’

I smirked. Perfect.

‘Good. Stay there until I give you a signal. I’ll have someone create a commotion and you guys will jump in. They are keeping Deacon in the cellar and I have a clear view of it.’

‘Same here alpha. We see the two guards standing by the doors.’ Lincoln replied.

‘Anyone else? Inside?’ I asked.

‘Yes alpha. There’s a couple but it’s too dark to see anymore of the inside.’ Lincoln confirmed.

I looked over at the three trees my ambush team was silenting waiting in human form.

I gave them a nod. ‘Ready?’

Lincoln nodded back. ‘We’re ready alpha.’

‘Good. Because it’s about to start.’ I growled.

I turned my head to the left and looked at Gabriel and nodded my head.

He smirked and jumped up and walked straight up the hideout.

“Hiya fellas!” Gabriel said friendly. “Nice day isn’t it?”

I tried to hold in my laugh as he was twirling around in the flowing grass that was illuminating from the sun.

‘Damn I love that man.’ Zylen giggled.

I rolled my eyes.

“W-what?” The rogue asked astonished. “H-how did you get through our patrol?”

“Well it was quite simple actually.” Gabriel stated as he tapped his chin. “We ambushed them and killed them all.”

The rogue growled when Gabriel gave them a sweet smile.

“You’re gonna pay for that!” The other rogue promised.

“Catch me if ya can!” Gabriel shouted and took off running the other way.

“Guys!” The rogue yelled as his buddy shifted. “Get out here!”

I ducked down even more as I was about five men come out of the cellar.

“What?” One of them asked.

“Deacon’s beta came for a visit.” He explained as he pointed at the way Gabriel ran.

“But what about-”

“Forget about him.” The rogue growled, cutting the other rogue off. “He’s behind silver bars with silver handcuffs. He isn’t going anywhere.”

I scoffed. Ya right bitches.

The rogues nodded and started to shift.

‘Now!’ I yelled to my ambush team right as the guards made it past the first house.

I heard a bunch of growls and knew my team was winning that little battle.

The element of surprise is always the best way to go.

‘Let’s go guys.’ I said as I shifted back to human and opened the bag that I was carrying on my back.

“Let’s go get your mate.” Zylen smiled.

Colby cleared her throat.

“What?” I asked.

She pointed her thumb behind her.

I gulped as I saw some of Deacon’s men standing there in their wolf form.

“Ah shit.” I growled as I smacked my forehead with my palm. “Tell Deacon any of this and I will castrate you all. Got it?”

They nodded quickly.

“Good. Now go to your positions and get ready. They are gonna know when Deacon gets out and that’s when you come in.” I commanded.

They nodded their heads and turned around, running off to their posts.

“Let’s do this.” Colby smiled.

I nodded and got out from the tall grass.

I looked left and right to make sure no rogues were coming.

‘Almost there Ace. Don’t worry.’ Ava assured me.

‘Thank you. I really needed that.’ I said sadly.

“I’ll check and make sure they all left.” Zylen whispered as she opened the cellar door and peered around the corner. “Looks good. Come on.”

All three of us quickly walked in and shut the door.

“Dammit.” I growled as I looked at the empty hook on the wall. “They took the keys.”

“Maybe they are smarter than we think they are?” Colby suggested.

“That’s what I’m afraid of.” I sighed as I started to walk forward.

“Let’s just find him and get out of here.” Zylen said as she looked around. “This place is giving me the creeps.”

“Deacon?” I called out quietly.

“Ace?” I heard a faint voice towards the back of the cellar.

Of course it’s the most creepiest part of the cellar.

Damn rogues.

“Guys!” I shouted as I ran towards Deacon’s voice.

“Hey babe.” Deacon smiled.

“Hello damsel in distress.” I smirked.

Deacon rolled his eyes. “Now is not the time for jokes baby.”

I nodded. “Yeah I know. You’re right.”

“How did that taste coming out of your mouth?” Deacon laughed as I grabbed my lock picking kit from my bag.

“Like poison.” I said while trying to keep a straight face. “That’s the only time you’ll ever hear me say that.”

“Yeah yeah.” Deacon laughed as I picked the lock.

“Am I still good?” I asked as I continued to try to pick the lock.

Damn. Whoever made this lock was a fucking genius.

“Yeah. No rogues.” Zylen yelled down as she looked out the door.

“Yet.” I whispered to myself.

“Don’t worry.” Deacon smiled as I was finally able to open the lock. “We got this.”

I smiled and quickly pulled him into a kiss.

I heard someone clear their throat.

Colby stood there shaking her head. “Not the right time or place girl.”

I nodded with a laugh.

“Um...a little help?” Deacon asked as he held his hands up.

“Oh right.” I said with a nervous laugh.

I quickly picked the locks on the handcuffs and they fell to the ground with a clank.

"Oof.” I breathed out as I was getting crushed by Deacon’s arms. “I missed you so much.”

I smiled and leaned even more into him. “I missed you too.”

Deacon pulled back and smiled. “I love you.”

My eyes went wide and my jaw dropped. Did he? Did he really say? Holy shit. He did.

“I-I love you too.” I whispered.

Deacon’s smile grew wider and pulled me in for another kiss.

I heard a groan and I pulled away from Deacon.

“Seriously guys. We have to get out of here.” Colby stated in a rush.

I nodded. “Let’s go.”

We all ran out of the cellar but then we got blocked by a rogue.

Deacon growled and put me behind him.

I moved around him and stood there in shock.

“D-dad?” I asked as a tear dropped my from my right eye.
