Chapter 30

Theo took Carine to her room. After the way Scarlet insulted Carmine, he was sure that Carmine would leave his house and go. Just the thought made him shudder. He had spent many days waiting for her and now he won’t spend a single day without her. There was not a minute when his thoughts were not about her or Thor. Thor was hist only heir, and he wanted to flaunt his pup to the world. In addition, he desired to draft a will, leaving everything to his dog and Carmine.

“I apologize for Scarlet’s actions towards you, Carmine,” he said, closing the door behind them. “I don’t know what has gotten into her these days. She was always very smart and reasonable.” He shook his head. “I hope you will forget what happened down there.”

Carmine’s l*ps curled up as she gently placed her hand on his upper arm. Electricity. zapped through him, making him dizzy. All his blood scemed to flow towards his co ck, which tented his pants. He hoped she noticed it.

Carmine stopped laughing as a blush crept on her cheeks. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she said, “I will go to the boutique that I have set up on your premises. Joseph must be waiting for me.

Theo’s face darkened. “Why is Joseph still here? Shouldn’t he be gone already?” He had to get that man out of Carmine’s life. He had a strong dislike for him. The way he hovered around Carmine was awful.

“Yes, he will leave soon,” she said as she started leaving.

“Wait, I am coming with you!” Theo said as he followed her to the boutique. He decided to send two or three beautiful female wolves to entice Joseph and then he would show Carmine Joseph’s true colors.

As they walked down the stairs and through the main hall, they saw some ga mmas and omegas helping Tony with the luggage. Tony bowed to Carmine once again with a grin on his face. Immediately, Theo came behind Carmine. Da mn it. Every other unmated wolf was trying to flirt with his mate.

At the boutique, Carmine noticed Joseph organizing a shelf dominated by the color blue. She opened the glass door and laughed lightly when Joseph greeted her with a

smile.

“Hey!” Carmine smiled as he pulled her into a hug. “I missed you.” He glanced at Theo, whose face radiated fury and muscles bulged.

“Hey!” Carmine giggled. “How can you miss me so soon? I was here an hour back.”

Joseph shrugged. “How’s Thor, my favorite child?”

“He’s good and adapting pretty fast,” Carmine said.

“Did you talk to your folks back at home?”

“Nope. I’m pretty sure no one is interested.”

Carmine sighed. Joseph’s family was non-existent, but at least he should tell them about his whereabouts.

“You should find a girlfriend to keep you busy,” Carmine teased.

“Don’t make fun of me,” he chuckled as he pinched Carmine’s check and picked up her hand to k*ss it.

The moment that happened, in an instant, Theo swiftly moved, taking hold of Carmine’s waist and drawing her closer, causing her eyes to widen.

Joseph clenched his teeth and stepped back a little. Carmine felt extremely awkward when Theo and Joseph started a staring contest.

“I think it is time to wind up the boutique!” Carmine tried to slice through the thick

tension.

“Yes, it is time to wind up, Joseph,” Alpha Theo said, as if warning him. “I have to take Carmine to an important function where we won’t be needing company,” he added, staring at Joseph, who bristled.

Joseph directed his gaze towards Carmine, and she responded by nodding, not knowing anything about the function. “I think it’s been a long day. You also need rest. Why don’t you go and I will wind up? There’s nothing much to do.”

Theo said. “You seem pretty close to him.” He sat on a chair as she walked to finish the rest of the work.

“Don’t be jealous, Alpha Theo,” she teased him.

“Well, I am not just jealous. I am furious as well. After all, I told you I have an interest in you and you agreed you would give me a chance.”

“Yes, I did that, but you can’t go on showing to everyone that you are courting me. I mean, we haven’t even started that.” Before she could speak further, the door opened. and a very hot blond wearing a black pencil skirt and a silk white blouse entered, her heels clicking on the floor. She bowed to Alpha Theo and gave him a heart-stopping

smile.

“Alpha Theo,” she said in a soft, husky voice. “I came to remind you that you have an urgent business meeting in an hour.”

“Carmine, this is Winn’s sister and our company’s secretary Sloane. Sloane, this is Carmine, the love of my life.”

Carmine’s mouth dropped to the floor as she glared at Theo, but he just smirked at her.

“Oh!” Sloane’s face deflated. “Nice to meet you Carmine,” she said in a dull voice that actually meant it wasn’t a nice experience.

It was clear to Carmine that Sloane did not want her anywhere near Alpha Theo. Well, too bad for her.

Suddenly, Carmine’s phone flashed with Thor’s face. “Mommy! Where are you?”

Carmine chuckled. “Will be right back, sweetie.”

When she disconnected the phone, Sloane said, “Your pup is pretty. I saw him playing in the garden with Una. He’s really handsome.” She gave a flirty smile to Alpha Theo, which made Carmine jealous, but she contained her emotions.

On the other hand, Theo’s focus remained on Carmine, eager to witness her reaction to Sloane’s flirtation.

“Thank you,” Carmine replied with a small smile to Sloane.

Sloane chuckled. “I hope Alpha Theo isn’t stressing you out a lot. He is rough around the edges.”

“Alpha Theo don’t forget about the meeting.” Sloane reminded him in an irritated.

He laughed quietly. Opening the top buttons of his shirts, he said, “Why do I feel you were jealous of her?”

Carmine blushed. “Why would I be jealous?” Her eyes landed on his chest that had hair. in the middle, which disappeared somewhere down and an ache built between her thighs. Biting her bottom l*p hard, she, turned her gaze away and busied herself with the

last box.

He came to stand right behind her. She could feel the warmth of his chest seeping into her back. She bit back a whimper. “What are you doing?” she asked, barely able to think.

Pressing her against the shelf, he turned her and lifted her chin with his fingers. “Since the day I saw you, want to f uck you senseless, but today-” he grazed his l*ps with hers and she stifled a moan. “I am going to k*ss you senseless.” And he slammed his l*ps on hers.
