Chapter 772 Made Contact

“Of course. After all, I am the holy guardian of Chanaca. Don’t you consider me an important figure? Aren’t you afraid of me?” Emrys stated confidently.

“Ignorant!”

The man in black fell silent for a moment, then suddenly spat..

Following that, he revealed a hint of pity in his expression as he said, “The so–called holy guardian of Chanaca is nothing more than a title those common folks have given you. In the eyes of people like us, you are nothing but a joke.”

“People like you?”

Emrys narrowed his eyes, asking with keen interest, “What kind of people are you?”

“You’re not worthy to know. After all, we are people you could never afford to provoke.”

The man in black seemed reluctant to waste any more time on Emrys, his gaze intensifying abruptly as he once again closed in with large strides.

“Sky Devourer Lord, even though we look down upon you, in the eyes of the common folks, you are still a person of some repute. Do not let yourself be ruined because of a

woman.”

In the eyes of the man in black, Emrys was completely bewitched by feminine charm.

Just now, when that woman kissed him, he was immediately smitten. Such self–control is incredibly weak, and it is clear that he is not destined for any great achievements in the future

In front of those ordinary folks, it’s fine to show off. But daring to show off in front of real experts, that’s simply courting death

The man in black rapidly closed in. Just as he was about to reach Emrys, he bellowed, “Get lost!”

The momentum of the Foundation Stage once again surged forth.

In the abandoned land, wild grass fluttered about, and the soil was thrown into chaos.

In an instant, sand was flying and rocks were moving.

In a rush, Yelena tightly embraced the little girl, her hand covering the child’s eyes.

Emrys stood amidst the flying sand, unwavering.

The man in black didn’t show the slightest surprise. He sneered and said, “Sky Devourer Lord, do

you think it would be effortless for me to confront a hundred Divinity martial artists with my strength? Could I also be revered as a holy guardian by those mortals?”

His words were laden with sarcasm.

The implication was that the hundred man–made Divinity martial artists of the original Deity Slayer Alliance were, in his view, nothing more than a swarm of ants.

Defeating that swarm of ants was not something to be particularly proud of.

Not any casual Foundation Stage cultivator could easily replace the so–called Chanaca’s holy guardian.

Therefore, there was truly no need to be smug about one’s achievements because those accomplishments were utterly worthless.

“What you can do, I can do as well. Not just me, but many, many others can do it too. It’s just that we don’t share your vanity. Those empty titles, we disdain to seek!”

The man in black didn’t forget to mock Emrys thoroughly.

Following that, he boldly made his move.

His hand once again curled into a claw, transforming into five sharp blades aimed directly at Emrys‘ neck.

She harbored the reckless intention of sending Emrys to hell in the shortest possible time.

“You’re quite confident, aren’t you?”

Emrys, however, remained unruffled, a faint smile playing on his lips. As the man in black’s claw–like hand drew near, he suddenly lunged forward, choosing to advance rather than retreat.

The two individuals made contact in an instant.

The man in black didn’t place his curved fingers on Emrys‘ neck as expected. Instead, he tapped them on his shoulder.

The impact was not significant.

First, he’d shatter the shoulders of the Sky Devourer Lord, then with a single palm strike, he’d crush his skull.

It was simply an additional step.

The man in black sneered, suddenly exerting force with his fingers. A powerful surge, mixed with his life energy, penetrated Emrys‘ shoulder, attempting to shatter it.

However, at that moment, Emrys spoke indifferently. “I don’t know what kind of people you are, but what you’ve seen of me is merely the tip of the iceberg.

As soon as his words fell, Emrys clenched his fist fiercely, striking at the abdomen of the man in black.

The man in black’s eyes suddenly turned cold, showing no intention of backing down.

His fingers first latched onto Emrys‘ shoulder. Under normal circumstances, Emrys would undoubtedly be the first to get injured. As soon as Emrys‘ shoulder shattered, his arm. would naturally lose its ability to exert force.
