Chapter 12

Alexia's POV

"Do I have to put that??"

Let me tell you what's going on here since you are confused.

So right now it's 7 o'clock which means I have less than an hour to be ready for the party...yay...

Back to the point, yesterday we bought a royal emerald dress.

It was a pretty teal dress that had transperant tulle sleeves and at the end of them had floral designs. It was collected with a belt till my waist and then would flow freely from underneath the belt till it touched the ground. (The picture of the dress is on my wall in case someone wants to see the actual dress)

And here's Emma trying to stuff some makeup to my face and me being me, I'm not allowing that.

"Yes! Now come on put your hands away;I need to put the eyeliner!"

"Amanda please I don't want to put it, in fact I don't want to put any makeup."

"Oh come on stop acting like a baby, it's only an eyeliner! Mom, come on tell her to stop moving and let me finish my art work!" Emma retorted.

"Emma, if she doesn't want an eyeliner then it's okay, Alexia's naturally pretty so she doesn't have to cake her face up, she'll already stand out between the she-wolves." Amanda calmly responded.

"Oh come on, I just want her to be the prettiest of the prettiest." She pouted.

"Well you don't make her do what she doesn't want to. You politely ask her and it's up to her."

Emma's head snapped quickly to me and gave me the most heartbreaking puppy eyes coexisted with a colossal pout on her mouth.

"Pretty pleasseeee. Just the eyeliner and lipgloss!"

"But Emma I-"

"PLEEEAAASSSSEEEEE."

"I think she just broke my heart..." Cara came out of nowhere.

"Yeah I think so too." I replied.

"Well...I guess it's okay..."

"YES!!!" Emma exclaimed.

"BUT ONLY THOSE TWO!"

Quickly have I declared before she took any step towards me.

"Yes, just let me do it already!"

With almost no time left, we or more like they quickly finished everything left and became ready for the "party."

A knock on the door brought our attention to it.

"Come in!" Amanda quickly responded.

Entered a stylish young boy wearing a tuxedo. From his looks, he might be 12.

He had blue eyes which complimented his cut-short black hair. He had slightly tanned skin and stood tall almost reaching my shoulder.

"Oh! Noah darling come here." Amanda beckons him.

"Alexia, this is Noah my younger brother." Emma

explained whilst Amanda had been gawking at his looks from his annoyed expression, it seems that his mother's always trying to make him wear what he doesn't want to and fails...

"Oh Alexia doesn't he look handsome!" Amanda beams excitingly and starts to hug Noah while he tries to avoid her deathly grip.

"Mother, you're gonna kill him like that! Let go of him."

A panicked voice that I have been dreading to be near of suddenly appeared.

"Oh shush it, he's my little pup of course I'm not gonna harm him."

"Mom you're gonna make his tuxedo wrinkle if you don't let him go." Emma lazily coughed.

"My god I didn't think of that!" Quickly she let go of Noah who was coughing hard,trying to catch his breath.

He weakly came beside his older siblings.

"Thanks guys I appreciate that." He heavily breathed.

Both Emma and Landon chuckled.

"Oh don't mention it, you just get me a chocolate as a thanks." Emma have him a devilish smile.

That earned her a laugh from Landon and unexpectedly me, now all of them are looking at me amusingly except from Landon; he froze as if I had lost my voice for a long time and suddenly I could speak again.

As quick as he had froze, his face became stupidly gleaming as he smiled.

"Let's go then?" He said while continued smiling like an idiot as he extended his hand for me to take.

Glancing at the clock quickly I confirmed that we were running late now and there was no time to argue.

I took his hand; as this ceremony is announcing me as the new Luna, I can't be arguing in front of them with my new "Alpha" and now precious "mate"... please do note the sarcasm.

We didn't take anytime to arrive to the room where the party is held but hey guess what.

The "party" is actually a "ball" and by a ball I mean the ones in fairy tales and princesses royal parties.

Yup I'm doomed.

"What is that!" I whisper-yelled at Landon.

"A party?" I answered as if it's all normal to have a ball as a party.

"This is not a party! This is a ball! You didn't say that this dumb party is an actual ball neither did Emma nor Amanda say so!"

"Uhh...what's the issue anyway? I can't see any problem here, it's party or a ball you name it. You just go in there,get announced as a Luna and that's it just go talk to pack members or other Lunas it's no biggie." He shrugged.

Is he asking for a death wish?

Yup he definitely is...

"Alpha, Luna, shall I announce your presence?" A pack member interrupted my almost yelling-tantrum.

"Landon's absolutely lucky today huh.." Cara announced making her presence known to me.

Landon nodded his head to the werewolf allowing him to announce our presence.

"Now don't chicken out, everything will be alright just act natural...wait let me rephrase that one, act like a good pup and not a sarcastic and annoying brat." He smiled no wait let me accurately describe what his smile is. He didn't smile a normal one, he had that smile which was full of sarcasm making me fight the strong urge to punch him.

As quick as he said his encouraging yet sarcasm dripping statement, he liked our arms together and dragged me inside.

There was the most horrifying scene I have ever stood in front of; many Lunas,Alphas and almost every pack member from my new pack.

Wait did I just say my new pack?

In my daze, Landon started talking and announcing me as the new Luna but I never heard a word of it on top of that, I kept my head held down and put my hand in Landon's.

I felt my hand being nudged. At that moment, I realised that my "oh dearie mate" was giving me a hint that he was almost finished with his speech.

"Well we can give him credits for being thoughtful and not letting us get embarrassed by leaving us hanging in front of all of these people."

"I guess..." I quickly replied to Cara then blocked her out; I always have that problem when getting nervous, I can't talk to people or I'd end up making fun of myself.

"And now we shall start now..."

Start what? What's he talking about??

I began to panic.

Landon almost started dragging me towards a table where a dagger and a golden cup stood.

"Don't panic. Take the dagger,make a small cut on you finger or palm and let a few drops fall into the cup."

Landon's voice suddenly talked to me in my head which startled me.

How can he...oh wait that's right...when marked, you and your mate can mind link even if not in the same pack...yet.

After slightly struggling to take the dagger, I cut my finger slightly and let a few droplets fall into the golden cup which had some water already in.

Landon took the cup and drank it at that moment, I felt sparks fill my body and mind.

Many voices were in my head at the same time hit me at that moment. Dozens of feelings hit me some happy and some excited. These feelings and sparks confirmed that I'm now a part of the pack which I have yet to know it's name and officially the new Luna instead of Amanda.

"I now officially announce the new pack member and my mate Alexia Harriet as the new Luna of Dark wood pack. Now please do enjoy the rest of the night." He cheered clearly overjoyed while holding my waist,pressing me to his side and drawing small circles on my side which sent sparks through the dress.

He looked at me. His eyes looking into my soul, "You okay?" he mouthed to me which I nodded to.

Applauses and cheers engulfed the entire enormous room.

One after one, people came congratulating both me for being the Luna and Landon for finally "finding" his mate.

"Ahh, Landon! Congratulations buddy, finally found your mate huh!" A young handsome man with a gorgeous girl came to us.

The man looked in his mid-twenties. Black hair and contrasting white skin. Dark brown eyes. Like all other males, he was wearing a tuxedo. He gave a good vibe, a vibe that makes our calm and trust him.

The girl tho was shorter than him,reaching his shoulder. A long brown pixie hairstyle with light blue eyes. She was wearing a lilac cup gown that flew till the ground like mine. With a lacy chest and arm tops, it was surrounded with a bow and a few florals around the waist.

But unlike her mate, she gave an ugly gut feeling.

"Zander! Quite glad that you came. Alexia meet Alexander Clark the alpha of Storm forest pack and a good friend of mine. This is his mate Luella Nelson." His joyful voice spoke still his arm around my waist;calming my fast beating heart.

"My pleasure to meet you Alexia!" Alexander exclaimed whilst Luella, she curtsied a bit while smiling...

"I don't like that Luella...Take care."

"Ahh, finally you enlighten me with your presence?"

"Thought I'd see how you were holding up..."

"Well thanks Cara...I guess...Was it just me or did you see her smirk a bit?"

"And I thought that I started getting paranoid, well guess we now have our answer huh...

"If it's okay with you two, I'd like to have a little chitchat with Luna Alexia while you two talk freely." Luella suddenly announces.

Landon looked at me for an answer which I slightly nodded still holding my head down,I lifted it a bit and went off with Luella to a balcony.

"So...How are you coping with Landon?"

"What...?" Slightly startled with her unexpected question.

"What's wrong? I merely asked how are you coping with him, it's not like I've asked you why did you finally runaway from your old pack." She smirked.

"How do you know about my old pack!"

"Oh I know a lot about you a lot more than you realise."

"Just who are you..."

"Listen and listen quite well. Landon's already using you and we both know it so let's make a deal alright? You'll leave this pack and Landon and I'll help you go live with the humans like you wanted alright?"

"No, I'm not leaving alright! Just who are you?"

"What you thought that all of this was real? All the fake gestures from him and his "so sweet pack"? You're so pathetic you know that?"

"Shut up, just shut up!!"

"Darling do us a favour and leave. No body even likes you." Venom dripping from her mouth as she smirked.

"I'm going to break your jaw if you keep talking to me like that."

"What, can't believe the sour truth? Stop being a little brat and go to hell." Animosity and hatred were clearly visible.

"Why do you hate me? I don't even know you to make you hate me like that in under 5 minutes!"

She was getting me frustrated. I have never met her and clearly I didn't mutter a word to make anyone dislike me.

"I don't hate you. It's just if you were in a fire, I wouldn't give a damn about saving you; you're wasting our precious oxygen."
