Adam (Jamie)

All night I tossed and turned around my bed and to see that little monster sleeping peacefully made it all worse and top of it all my thoughts were consumed by a certain Alpha all night, which made it all frustrating because I haven’t met him once and my thoughts are lingering on him for goodness sakes.

I’m definitely going insane right now and totally not up for the so-called dinner. Why can’t he just call me alone and meet me, no he has to call us for dinner and that I can’t turn that down because that will be disrespectful against that almighty Alpha. Right now I’m fuming out of my mind and all that I want is to have a peaceful sleep and I think that’s hard anyway.

I sighed and dressed in my clothes and went downstairs had a quick breakfast before collecting my things and gathered Ethan’s things too and quickly gathering all the things and scooping Ethan up who instantly went to hide his face in crook of my neck I smiled slightly and kissed his forehead, quickly went out and locked my house and went to house beside mine.

Opening down I went straight into the kitchen where all of them were having breakfast. I greeted everyone “good morning” they all chorused their greetings too.

“I assume you are here to drop that monster” asked Roman not even glancing towards me but, reading his newspaper.

“Yeah” I replied and settled Ethan in his high chair and dropped his bag to its side and kissed Riley on his forehead, who was busy eating his food more like squinting it. Before I was able to leave Roman abruptly called me “you remember today’s dinner Jamie”

I grumbled in my breath and said “yeah how can I forget?”

“Watch that attitude Jamie” Roman said with raised eyebrow

I raised mine in question too “I know right I’ll be there it’s not like I’m going to make a run for it, so chill okay, I don’t need you to remind me again” and with that I left the house before he could counter back and hopped in my car and went to my destination, school.

Half of school day was just like today’s fine morning because I’m not all in my best mood today and top of that I heard one of the female teachers gossiping about the Alpha might show in today, which should not affect me but after that I’m been on edge and in total right now I’m a utter mess, which by the way not good at all.

Right now I’m waiting in my last class of the day which was Ryan’s class and he better behave today because I’m in no mood to tolerate his shit today. As for the cue devil sauntered inside the class that was five minutes early.

I raised an questioning eyebrow and he just shrugged and stood front of my desk and smirked “so you early for the class” I asked and instead of answering my question he just asked me another question of his own “are you ready for the tonight’s dinner”

“That’s not the answer to my question Ryan” I asked in a very firm tone which suggests you better watch it.

“That’s not the answer to my question Jamie” Ryan replied in the same tone as mine but, I can sense some mock tone in it.

“Well I’m the teacher here so, I don’t think there’s any obligation that I have answer any question which is not course related” I replied challenging him to say something stupid and I’m show him who’s the boss here, as if sensing it he just raised his hand in surrender and said “so it was true”

“True what” I asked now standing in front of him with my hands folded in front of my chest.

“Well someone told me that you are clearly pissed today, so I was just checking the temperature you know” Ryan said scratching the back of his neck.

“someone here I take is Jeremy, and I’m totally fine” I paused a little “and now go to your seat, I already want this day to be finished” he just raised his hand turned around grumbling under his breath ‘jeez what crawled up his ass and died’ I choose to ignore him and that moment all the student filled in.

After long agonizing hours this day came to an end not literally but, to some extent I was relieved that I don’t have to be around this bunch of obnoxious teenagers. I quickly packed my things and made beeline to exit of school, as just I neared the entrance I was hit by the scent which instantly overwhelmed my senses, which I couldn’t understand and that scent I cannot place my finger on it, it was faint very faint actually and on top of that my wolf was pushing the walls of mind to be in charge, which is bad idea.

I stood still, took a few calming breaths and thought this dinner with Alpha would make me go into a frenzy already, it better be something worth for, which I highly doubt it. With that last thought I hopped in my car and drove off to my house.

Logan

I was sitting in my office going through the files and the work or activities I have missed this past month or so, which is very frustrating and top of that all night my mind went to that guy named Jamie and to make it worse all morning I have to listen my mom’s rant about how good looking that boy’s son is and how that Jamie guy is very polite and how handsome he is and you know what’s the most frustrating part is all your family member agree to it even my brat of brother who gives cold shoulder to everyone.

I was brought out of my thoughts by the knock on my office door and came in my beta Roman flashing me a smile , which I returned on my own “good morning Alpha” he greeted me.

“Good morning Roman” I said and added “cut it all the formalities Roman leave it all for the meeting and stuff, so you can call me Logan” I told him honestly.

“Okay Logan” Roman said “well I assume you are catching up with all the left off stuff” he gestured to the mount of papers and files on my desk.

I nodded and said “yeah man, still lots to do”

“Yeah, it’s always like this,” Roman said and chuckled a little at last. I nodded and chuckled too. To say I was impressed with dad’s choice of beta was an understatement. He was good and knows how to handle the work , so it’s good to have someone who can take some of your load off your shoulders.

“So all set for tonight’s dinner” I asked while going through the files.

“Yeah” Roman replied “well you called me, Summer said you wanted me for something”

“Yeah, actually I was going to go and have a round around the schools boundaries to check it and thought you might wanna come along me and our Gamma Owen” I asked

“Yeah, why not” Roman replied “well I might ask where is this Owen guy” as a cue a stupid and goofball entered and shouted “good morning Logan and the guy I haven’t met before” and plopped on the chair next to Roman.

Roman raised an eyebrow and said “I assume he is Owen the third in command”

I nodded and said “well Owen you are late and this is not the way to enter in your Alphas office, how many times I have to tell you that” I scowled at him.

“Well don’t then” Owen simply replied and turned to Roman and offered his hand and said “hi I’m Owen Scott, the third in command and please ignore Logan he doesn’t have manners” Roman shook his hand introduced himself and I stood gesturing them to let’s go get over with before I kill Owen because he’s already on my nerves, usually I have more tolerance but today I guess, an exception.

After ten minutes we were parking in front of the school grounds and got out of the vehicle. I just stared at school as my wolf was urging me to go and search for something, I pushed him back and went to the school patrolling area and started our search.

After one hour we were headed back to our car as Owen and Roman they both are now best friend, shaking my head we all hopped in the car and went straight to the pack house to complete the shit load of work on my desk.

But, the last thought on my mind was dinner tonight and that I was going to meet this guy and his kid probably made me all excited about something which was not like me at all.

Let’s hope it will all be good though.
