Chapter seventeen

(Ethan POV)

After I explained to my mate about what is going on and that we needed to go to the palace. Father and I left to speak to Prince Alexander. It Doesn’t take to long for us to get there and to run into Dani the future Gamma.

“Hey Dani, where is Prince Alexander? Tell him that Kaven wants to speak to him now.”

“Hey Kaven, have either you or Ethan seen Aurora?”

“No and that’s why we need to talk to him now. I want to know why he did what he did to my daughter.”

Dani looked down not knowing what to tell us about this mess.

“That’s something Alex will have to explain to you himself. Be careful though because Hunter has been taking over Alex a lot more.”

That don’t make any sense because that only happens when the mate bond is having trouble. As we get to his office, we can hear loud crashing noises getting louder as we get closer. Dani Opens the door to see Alex standing in a room of chaos, but when he turns around, I knew without a doubt that we were looking at Hunter and not Alexander. His eyes were silver letting us know it is Hunter we are dealing with, and his wolf is not one to mess with.

“Kaven? Where is Aurora? Where is our mate?”

“Prince Alexander announce to the whole pack your mate is Kimberly Stone and not my sister.”

“Aurora is our mate little pup!”

“Ethan just cool it down. Hunter, I need to talk to Prince Alexander or so help me when I find my daughter Aurora, I’ll make sure the both of you will never see her again.”

Hunter just stood there for a while thinking what I just told him. After a few minutes I noticed that the eye colors were changing back to blue to let us know that Alexander was now with us.

(Alexander POV)

As soon as Hunter gave me back control to find that Dani, Kaven, and Ethan were in my office.

“Ethan, Kaven have either of you seen Aurora. I’m so worry about her.”

“How dare you stand there and tell me that you’re worried about my daughter that you yourself betrayed. You once told that Aurora was your mate and I trusted you.”

Not only can I see the anger in his eyes, but I can hear it in his voice and feel it in the air. How can I explain it to him that I did what I had to do to protect Aurora and our pup? I can’t because my father might hurt them if I do.

“I wish I could explain to you Kaven, but I just can’t.”

Before Kaven could say another word, I saw Blair’s raven Darkness at my window with a note in his beak. I took the note right away to see only one word written on it “Broken”. That one word was enough for me to understand what it meant. I then sent my father a link demanding his presents in my office right now. He didn’t sound happy, but I don’t care.

“Answer me Alexander, why can’t you explain on what is going on with my daughter?”

“Calm yourself Kaven, all will be explained soon enough.”

It didn’t even take that long before my father burst into my office with Blair not far behind him.

“How dare you order me around boy. You know what I’m capable of doing if I chose to do so.”

I just stood there and smiled knowing he no longer had the power over me. That only made him become a lot more anergy as he brought out the orb, but it was no longer blood red, it was now white.

“Maybe I’ll just teach you a lesson to never mess with me.”

“Wait your highness, the orb is no longer a blood red and that can only mean that the curse has been broken.”

“What curse are they talking about, Alexander?”

“Kaven, my father places a curse on Aurora, so I’ll do what he tells me to do. He told me that the curse will kill her if I didn’t tell everyone that Kimberly was my mate, but now he has no power over me.’

“Oh, trust me boy I still have power over you. I’ll find where she is and kill her with my own hands if you don’t make Kimberly your mate.’

“No, father you won’t because I challenge you to the throne, and this fight will only end with your death.”

“You really think you can kill me boy?”

“Yes, and I will do to protect my mate.”

“So be it boy, it will take place in two hours from now.”

He left before anyone could say anything else. Now I need to make some plans to find Aurora as soon as possible. She is out there right now and she needs us.

“Dani?”

“Yes, Alex?”

“I want you to get a hold of all the packs alphas to send out their men to search out for Aurora Chandrakant. I also want you to get a hold of King Darius Knight, to see if he can do the same with his packs.”

“I’ll get on that right away.”

“Ethan, can you please give Dani a hand in helping with the phone calls. Kaven and I’ll head toward the training ground to get me ready for the fight.”

“Alexander, are you sure you’ll be able to kill your father.”

“I will have to Kaven. If I want to protect my mate, your daughter then I will have to kill him and not fail in doing so.”

“Alright, let’s head to the training grounds to get you ready. By now everyone is going to know about this fight.”

“Yeah, they’ll all want to be there to see the outcome of this fight. It’ll not only effect this pack, but all the packs of this kingdom and maybe the other two as well.”

We both headed over to the training ground, so we can go straight to the pit where all the important fights happen. I leave Kaven to get ready for the fight of my life, because Aurora and our unborn pup are my life. I know Hunter and I can do this. We can defeat my father and Hades.

‘Are you ready for this Hunter?’

‘Do we really have a choice in the matter. We have to do this to protect what’s most important to us.’

‘Yes, but can we kill them, can we kill father and Hades. Are we ready to take a life?’

I grabbed a pair of boxers and got to the pit. When I get there, I see my father is already there with Beta Dustin Malik and all the pack. I see Dani and Seb walking over to me, most likely to give me their support.

“Hey Alex, I know that you already know this, but I’ll say it anyway. Seb and I are always going to have your back. We’ll always be there for you no matter what.”

“Thanks Dani, that means a lot to me and yes, I already knew that. I hope you two are ready because once I’m done here you two will be taking your place next to me.”

“You know that we are both ready to do so.”

I looked over to Seb who has been noticeably quiet this whole time.

“Seb, what’s on your mind because you look lost in thoughts.”

“Alex, I really didn’t want to tell until after the fight. Autumn is pregnant, we just found out this morning.”

“That’s great, I’m so happy for the both of you.”

That’s great, now when we find Aurora that our pup will be growing up with Seb. They can grow up like Seb and I did, but right now I need to take care of my father so my moon will be safe. I went to the pit so I could face him.

“You still have time to turn around boy. Don’t give up your life for a worthless whore.”

“DON’T YOU DARE CALL MY MATE A WHORE!”

I was just about to attack before the fight even started, but that’s when Gamma Xavier came between My father and me.

“May I have everyone’s attention. The fight for the throne between King Trayvon and Prince Alexander. It’ll be a fight till one of them dies and the winner will be our King. Now for the rules of the fight. The only rule is that you’ll stay in human form until I give the order to go to wolf. Alright let’s get ready for the fight.

‘Are you ready for this Alex? Are you really ready to take your father’s life and have no regret?’

‘Hunter, we have no choice in the matter. We need to put Aurora and our unborn pup first. So, no I’ll have no regret taking his life.’

‘What about your mother? Do you think she will be alright with the outcome of your father’s death?’

‘I can’t worry about her right now. You know for a fact that she and I were never that close because she always chose him over her own children.’

I know now that there is no turning back. I need to move forward and face my fear of this monster. When I was younger, I was so afraid of this man who would beat me and then tell me that one day I’ll thank him for doing so. He told me that one day all this will make me stronger and now that I’m older I guess I will thank him, because now I’m going to kill the monster that created me.
